  1. Since its essentially the Horus Heresy to AoS's 40k, I can't imagine they will do anything besides their current scale. I could be wrong, but thats whats going to get them the most money and GW loves nothing if not more money.
  2. Is there any proof its going to be 15mm? Seen literally nothing about that, and knowing GW, it makes no sense that they would do such a thing. 15mm models is a tiny market. 28-32mm scale minis is a massive market by comparison, and one in which theyre heavily invested and which they know people will buy.
  3. I am guessing they will be similar to old VC: vampires as elites/heroes with skellies and zambies as core. New blood knights wouldn't surprise me, and I am almost certain the Vrykos vampires will become the replacement for vargheists/a new elite sort of deal. I imagine there will be a "all vampire all the time" option via allegiances or something.
  4. Lol. I think a humorous comment on a social media page is basically the very best you could hope for from any modern customer base. Go look at YA consumers or anime people or the fans of video games, any number of youtubers, twitch streamers and so on. Warhammer has an absolutely gentlemanly fan base by comparison.
  5. Vrykos is presumably derived from vrykolakas, the greek vampire analog which in some folktales retains a more werewolf-esque appearance.
  6. Since Strigoi are now all Flesh Eater Courts, I am betting the Vrykos will fill the "beastly vampire" trope, possibly with revamped vargeist and varghulf type minis
  7. I feel cheated that the Vampire warband doesn't come out til May I want to inject it right into my veins right now, damn it all.
  8. Looks like a wight king and the obligatory stormcast
  9. The Lumineth leave me cold as well but the Crimson Court and Cursed City more than make up for it IMO. Can't be released soon enough!
  10. Between the Crimson Court and Cursed City, I am in baby-goth model heaven right now. My poor, poor wallet.
  11. The Crimson Court look ****** perfect. Exquisite models, exactly what I wanted. Day one buy, for sure. Will play even if they are trash.
  12. Nagash is lame and always has been. Kill him off says I.
  13. Very nice! I'm thinking three fighter vampire warband, as others noted.
  14. The critters might be this WHQ's version of the familiars.
  15. The real question is why wouldn't it matter? Immortal and bloodsucking has nothing to do with gender as far as I can tell. Certainly in the Old World it mattered to many a vampire. For this model, I figure it's probably gender neutral (i.e. it can be male or female based on whatever you choose to call it or based on headswaps). Edit: I may have misinterpreted the quoted post. I think in terms of gender division in warfare, vampires have no reason to do so.
  16. Worth noting they edited the article and removed references to the vampire lord's gender. That or the article is not loading properly on my phone
  17. In real life, a shield is actually a fairly aggressive weapon as you can collapse distance more easily (among other reasons).
  18. In the article footnote, they call the model a "he." But the great thing about armor like that is that it looks basically the same on men as it does on women, so swap out the head and call it a vampire lady and you're gold!
  19. Lumineth are now Rocko's Modern Elves. They got Heffer, they got Rocko, ally in some Idoneth and you got Shellden. Perfection. Soulblight Gravelords sound metal as ******. Like the new model, glad they kept the more classic gothic look. Can't wait to see the rest.
  20. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time
  21. The Old World will certainly be in 28mm scale. No way GW passes up on all the people from their other systems who will buy the models just for conversions alone, let alone the returning players and new converts.
  22. A "Bretonnia but Vampires" army would be so very cool. Led, of course, by a mysterious knight in black armor, his arms sable a serpent or tongued gules. Though honestly, you can make a pretty decent proxy list for Bretonnia in general with FEC. Esp if you embrace Parravon's Flying Circus as your background
  23. I think that 1) the actual middle ages were far weirder and grimmer than a lot of you seem to think. There's a lot of scope for a more historically grounded army that also has crazy and weird aesthetics. 2) Bretonnia will be in the Old World, presumably, so I don't necessarily need them in Age of Sigmar. But, if GW wanted to do them, I think it could be very cool. Problem is that SCE steal a lot of Bretonnia's thunder in that they are the "elite" human army with lots of monster-riding broskis and the magical favor of a deity enhancing them.
