The Rumour Thread
Morglum StormBasha replied to The Jabber Tzeentch's topic in Age of Sigmar Discussions
Would love Temple Guard to get an alt build with some shooting options to emphasise the sci fi bit of Seraphon. Give them the equivalent of the Custodes spears rather than normal ones and a shooting attack as well. Or maybe give them a proper souped up breacher magic shield. They don’t need to stick to just saurus with bones on their head anymore -

Weird that the Gondor scenery box isn’t in the price list. Presumably that means it’s a gw website exclusive then -

Will have to buy the Wyvern and Giant always wanted those as a kid. Although I wish they’d also got the forgeworld remaster rather than coming out in metal -

I can’t believe they killed the whole sacrosanct range as well. Really quite angry about that -
Poll: SCE in every starterbox set?
Morglum StormBasha replied to Gitzdee's topic in Age of Sigmar Discussions
Generally starter boxes have always been a elite vs a horde i think that’s generally a good idea i think you do probably need a good human faction in the box which is either stormcast or cities. you could however easily pair the horde of cities against say ironjawz or slaves to darkness etc as elite armies -

Supposedly the 2 arcane tome armies are for Nuln and Middenheim. Middenheim seems easy to believe given they had so many storm of chaos models -

Ok so thought on the reveals 40k - meh chaos marine lords. heresy - hoping the mech army becomes as newly affordable as the solar auxilia kill team - the votann are half cool. The trench coats on everyone feel a bit too much. warcry - the tree is silly and I’m now sick to death of gnarlwood terrain. Who on earth is building a bamboo platform next to a giant gaping man eating mouth ? - sylvaneth are interesting but abit too body horror nurgle for me - obr jsut continue to disappoint underworlds - I think the flagellants are too OTT and don’t fit cities: but happy designers can experiment in this game system - fec perfectly fine but not exciting abraxia - love the mount - slightly disappointed by Abraxia herself and might need to figure out a headswap aos4 - trailer is brilliant - stormcast on bird is nice - the skaven reinvention is a long time coming but all the models previewed in the trailer look great and it just feels like we’re getting more of the style of the isle of blood minis but with another 10 years of technology improvements - the lore - it’s cool to see a big threat but I wonder if skaven blight occupying literally one third of the great parcb is a bit much and a bit of a loss of a sense of scale, feels like it’s soooo rataclysmic that aqshy won’t recover - rules reset - I don’t think this was needed. Some of the changes like colored phase keys on rules and usrs do seem nice but whether it actually requires a complete reset rather than just the 3 year cycle through battle tomes I’m not sure. Next year will be bumpy I expect -

If they genuinely scrap beasts then I’d also wonder about scrapping dark elves and dwarves from cities and maybe all the finecast ogor models - just clean house of legacy models - which to be honest it’s probably now time to do. -

So aos4 stormcast expectations ? New Vandus New liberators New prosecutors New Judicators New Paladins New Lord Celestant New Lord Relictor New celestant prime And the old wave 1 kits all die? Is that what we think is going to happen -

Morglum StormBasha replied to Gareth 🍄's topic in Warhammer: The Old World
Think it’s a much better plan for them to release the first wave for a third army for old world rather than third wave for the 2 launch armies. I’m sure those will come in the next month or so but at the moment getting a greater variety of factions some level of support is more important. I doubt many of the tomb kings and Bret’s buyers have finished all their models yet -

Obr for warcry makes sense. I’d dearly like Kurnothi to be the other half but failing that I’d love some yhettees. Old world release might be more orc and goblin tribes sculpts -

I want a plastic Grombrindal free on the cover of white dwarf and then given full aos rules and put on pemanent sale thereafter. I also think they should really put Gotrek and Grombrindal into the cities or fyreslayers book so they are kept in print -

They could add so much with just one wolf chariot kit in the style of the big maw grunta. One chariot could do shaman on chariot, warlord on chariot and generic chariot which combined with existing snarl fang kit would probably be enough for a army of renown -

Just watched that gnomes lore video. They seem incredibly well pitched to get a wizard mini for Old World Empire as part of the new setting given their mastery of illusion and dark magic and the fact that the old world is set pre Grom wiping them out and before Teclis encouraged the witch hunters to persecute them. You could see them having a real role in imperial society of this time if they are the most proficient spell casters. really hope it’s Bloodbowl gnomes now -

I’d love a Gnome team for Bloodbowl. They have decent amounts of lore in WHFRP and I could see peddlers and illusion etc being useful in Bloodbowl. -

How long do Grail Knights live. Just occurred to me that Repanse de Lyonnese is about 80 years old when this is set as she was born in 1990 so you could have an elderly magical version of her as a battle standard bearer special character. That would be very cool -

So mixed feelings about the orcs and goblins reveal. one the one hand I am ecstatic about a made to order of the marauder giant and the shaman on wyvern… on the other hand I am disappointed that the rumoured plastic wyvern kit doesn’t exist. — got my rulebooks today and the timeline and lore sections have given huge prominence to Cathay. I’d be hugely suprised if Cathay, Kislev and Norse done make factions 10-12 in the long run… (eg next 5 years) the rulebooks are beautiful also very happy that my Troll Hag and forgeworld units are getting rules. -

The rumours were a new plastic wyvern with either shaman or warboss and potentially a new plastic snotling pump wagon. dwarfs I think will be getting a lord on 2 shield bearers -
