FMB's Brets

So, playing with my Khorn-ishmen has me jazzed about AoS in general, which in turn got me to rebase my Brets, and finish up a lingering project.

How do you go about rebasing the Brets with their slotted bases without completely ruining the paint job? Also, do you have any issues with stability of the miniature at all?

I did a variation of what Mengel Mininiatures did - trimmed the corners, glued it with a hot glue gun, and filled with spackle / polyfilla.  Seems to work / be stable so far, though I've not put them to hard use.  This weekend I"m taking them to a narrative event at the local g-dub, and will report back on stability in play.  Can't be worse than the old rectangular bases, though.
