scrubyandwells
Prepping to playtest pure Flesh-Eater Courts. Here's two lists, the second pulled from 1d4chan. Anyone have list variants they think are stronger for general competitive play? On first list: Varghulf (with Cloak of Mists and Shadows) is a semi-deepstrike threat. Ghouls x30 is anvil in middle buffed by Abhorrant Ghoul King + Abattoir battalion. Ghoul-Patrol-battalion Ghouls are for key placement, chaff, objectives, etc. 1: Abhorrant Ghoul King on Zombie Dragon (400) Ring of Immortality (Artefact) Abhorrant Ghoul King (100) Ruler of the Night (Command Trait) Cursed Book (Artefact) Varghulf Courtier (160) Cloak of Mists and Shadows (Artefact) Crypt Haunter Courtier (120) (Abattoir) Crypt Ghast Courtier (80) (Ghoul Patrol) Crypt Ghouls x30 (300) (Abattoir) Crypt Ghouls x20 (200) (Ghoul Patrol) Crypt Ghouls x10 (100) (Ghoul Patrol) Crypt Ghouls x10 (100) (Ghoul Patrol) Crypt Horrors x3 (140) (Abattoir) Crypt Horrors x3 (140) (Abattoir) Ghoul Patrol Battalion (100) Abattoir Battalion (60) 2: Abhorrant Ghoul King on Terrorgheist (400) Ruler of the Night (Command Trait) Ring of Immortality (Artefact) Varghulf Courtier (160) Cloak of Mists and Shadows (Artefact) Crypt Infernal Courtier (140) Crypt Flayers x9 (480) Crypt Flayers x6 (320) Crypt Flayers x6 (320) Deadwatch Battalion (160)

scrubyandwells
Updated the first list, reducing the Crypt Ghouls x20 to x10 (for three Ghoul-Patrol-battalion chaff units of x10), and added a second Abhorrant Ghoul King to run with and buff the Crypt Haunter Courtier and 2 Crypt Horrors x3. This gives the army five clear components and a lot of flexibility: Varghulf Courtier (semi-deepstrike) Abhorrant Ghoul King on Zombie Dragon (hammer) Abhorrant Ghoul King, Crypt Haunter Courtier, 2 Crypt Horrors x3 (hammer) Abhorrant Ghoul King, Crypt Ghast Courtier, 1 Crypt Ghouls x30 (anvil) 3 Crypt Ghouls x10 (multi-purpose: chaff, objectives, teleporting, etc.) Also made an Abhorrant Ghoul King the General (with Ruler of the Night) and gave him the Cursed Book. He'll run with the unit of 30 Crypt Ghouls. Abhorrant Ghoul King (100) Ruler of the Night (Command Trait) Cursed Book (Artefact) Abhorrant Ghoul King (100) Abhorrant Ghoul King on Zombie Dragon (400) Ring of Immortality (Artefact) Varghulf Courtier (160) Cloak of Mists and Shadows (Artefact) Crypt Haunter Courtier (120) (Abattoir) Crypt Ghast Courtier (80) (Ghoul Patrol) Crypt Ghouls x30 (300) (Abattoir) Crypt Ghouls x10 (100) (Ghoul Patrol) Crypt Ghouls x10 (100) (Ghoul Patrol) Crypt Ghouls x10 (100) (Ghoul Patrol) Crypt Horrors x3 (140) (Abattoir) Crypt Horrors x3 (140) (Abattoir) Ghoul Patrol Battalion (100) Abattoir Battalion (60)
Justinian
You can have your unit of 30 ghouls be both abbatoir and ghoul patrol. May not fit your exact tactics but worth a thought.

Either one or the other would be fine, but I would protest if my opponent tried to use a single unit as part of two non-overlapping battalions (The Flesh-Eater Courts battalion being an example of overlapping battalions). Indeed - this is very clear in the rules about formations.

WSDdeloach
Second list is SUPER FAST, hits hard.. low model count. Could possibly get shot to ******, umm.. either way I think your'e competitive. I play Flesh Eaters as well, here is a list i'm playing through as a potential GT list. __________________________ Leaders King on Zombie Dragon 400 Abhorrant Ghoul King 100 Varghulf Courtier 160 Gasht Courtier 80 Haunter Courtier 120 _____________________Units Ghouls (20) 200 Ghouls (20) 200 Ghouls (10) 100 Horrors (6) 280 ____________________ Monsters Terrorgheist 320 ____________________Battalion King's Ghouls 40 I feel like I have alot of options with the two kings, and enough staying power with bringing back ghouls from the gasht & varghulf. Not mention some heavy hitting with the Horrors and big guys.

With the coming off the board edge is nice for objectives. Just seem a little squishy, cause your opponent is right on your ass. Kings ghouls allows you not have to take battle shock tests for units in your own territory. Plus, if any of my guys (they are all king's ghouls) are with in 3" of an enemy my hero phase, I can make a 6" pile in move with any model's from this battalion as if it were the combat phase. Cool cause i can immediately tar pit big ****** or things trying to capture objectives from me.
