Thostos
So we have the new warbands finally coming out,yet were do I find the allowed mercenaries for them? Im trying to get a tournament going in my area and for matched play warbands, they can include one merc,,which is fine for the original warbands that have the chart in the monsters and mercs book,,but were do the new ones fit in? I suppose I could allow players to choose one based off the AoS armies they come from but would prefer to have an official word on this. Groomy
Monsters and Mercs are your official word divided by 4 grand alliances afaik
Baron Wastelands
Not divided by grand alliances in that way, but by runemark, so strictly speaking only the warrior chamber (and weirdly, not the original stormcast) can ally in mercenaries so far. For all the new warbands, officially I suspect you will have to wait for the next monsters and mercenaries book, which I’m sure there is bound to be. In the meantime, nothing to stop you house ruling it at a tournament. It’s fairly easy to assign based on grand alliance, or even on race.

At risk of being repetitive, I may just go ahead and divide mercs and new warbands into 4 grand alliances and take them. See any problems with houserules like this? See any problems with houserules like this? Only in the fluff, really (Tzeentch with Khorne heroes, etc.). Some of the new warbands don’t really need allies, mind!
Myrdin
You can house rule it just like guys above said. Just go with the Order/Chaos/Destruction/Death alliances , until there is an FAQ, update or anything official. I mean, for example I very much doubt anyone would have complaints of me allying a Beast of Chaos Bray Shaman to my Beast of Chaos Warband. That model comes from that faction in the AoS Start Collecting box. And if they would, then I doubt its a person I wanna play with anyway.
