Can an opponent dispel your Balewind Vortex once cast?

Yes. It can be dispelled like any other Endless Spell. When endless spell is dispelled, they cease to be one unit and you follow rules of vortex for seting up your wizard.. The reason is quote: "[...] that uses the caster's warscroll as well as the endless spell rules[...]".

Awesome, thanks. Sadly not the answer I wanted, but that's ok.

As a Sylvaneth player I could cast my vortex inside a wood, rendering out of line of sight. Meaning only flying models can dispel it. But then I can't see the enemy to cast my spells at them....

Use non los spells?
