IRifter
Which penalties does "enemy Units" refer to? Look Out sir? Or ANY penalties? Does it refer to your units in melee range doing ranged attacks or e.g. a unit judicator shoots at blightkings 18" away, which are less than 3" away from another of my units? stato
The second part is saying your other units not within 3" of an enemy can shoot any enemy units (it can see), even if they are in combat with one of your other units. The penalty it refers to doesnt actually exist in AoS, its just badly written as its having to explicitly point out the no penalty because thats a thing in other GW gaming systems. I dunno, I believe it's in response to the "realism" that a lot of people assume will exist in the game rules. So many people seem surprised that you can shoot at a certain unit and there's no penalty that I think it makes sense to have that explicit statement in the rules for shooting.
