NazbitWeirdstabba
Hi all! I will soon be rebasing my entire moonclan grot force onto rounds! My grots are painted pretty standard for moonclan, grey/black cloaks with yellow moons, and I want to go for a slightly snowy mountain style base. I was thinking of possibly going for Astrogranite, and then putting some snow and grass tufts on it. However, I'm not sure how natural grass would look on an astrogranite base. Does anyone have any good techniques for these type of bases? Cheers! Edit: forgot some details
syph0n
I'm sure it would look great. The images I saw of Astrogranite is just a grey textured base which is kinda standard anyway. Snow and the brown grass tufts would look good, I know they would, because it's what I use I just use slightly larger stones with chunks of slate and cork for important or larger models rather than the texture paint, but it's still grey! AlphaKennyThing
Nazbit, go for Atrogranite, wash with Drakenhof Nightshade, then drybrush Longbeard Grey. This provides a really good mountain base, then stick some snow on top, and some of the tufts of yellow grass.
