DOS Excelsior Warpriest and Friends

As a beginner it was my understanding that the broadest army one could field was a mixed Grand Alliance.  So, DOS Excelsior Warpriest’s Light of Sigmar healing ability has me confused:

* a friendly unit heals 1 wound

* However, the warpriest and friendly ORDER units heal D3 wounds

Aren’t all friendly units going to have the ORDER keyword?  If not, could you offer examples of units that would be considered  friendly, but not ORDER?

I believe the only time you would see that would be during narrative or open gaming where you can basically form an army out of any models you want.  In matched play you are correct and you would always be targeting an Order model as that is all you could include in your army.

You can also look at this from the perspective of team/multiplayer games, where it is possible to be allied with an army from a different Grand Alliance. In such situations, it is possible for a unit in a different army to be considered "friendly" even if it isn't an ORDER unit.
