Arkiham
So in generals handbook 2017 altering the initive roll is no longer a thing due to the forth rule of one. Does this battalion change that, as it bypasses the initive roll all together ? Which also means in larger games it can be changed by way of karios. ? AverageBoss
That battalion rule does not re-roll or modify the initiative roll. It tells you to do something completely different instead of rolling for turn order as normal. As for Kairos, I don't have his rules/faqs available atm, so I don't know how he would interact with it. heywoah_twitch
For reference, Kairos' ability: Oracle of Eternity: Once per battle, you can change the result of a single dice roll to the result of your choosing. However, this ability may not be used to affect the roll to see who takes the first turn in a battle round. As per the rule of one, I think this dodges the limitation as well if used on Archaon's Dice Roll To See Who Gets To Go First That Isn't The Dice Roll To See Who Chooses Who Goes First. Although considering the attempt at reminder text the interaction is hilariously against their intentions (on a raw vs rai basis).
