klunc
He has both the Tzeentch and Slaves to Darkness keywords. I've ruled that he can in events I've run.
Russ
According to Azyr, he does not have the Tzeentch keyword. Only Chaos; Mortal; Slaves to Darkness; Hero; Wizard; Sayl the Faithless
Terry Pike
He can be taken as a Slaves to Darkness ally
FRoper
according to the warscroll, he has CHAOS, MORTAL, SLAVES TO DARKNESS, HERO, WIZARD, SAYL THE FAITHLESS key words. so yea he can as he does not have the nurgle key word and is part of slaves of darkness. HorseOnABeachBall
Ok, so the fact that he has the STD keyword supersedes the fact that he lives in the Tamurkhan list? The things on the Tamurkhan list explicitly cannot have out with Tzeentch.

If Sayl has the right keywords you’re ok (he does). Regarding the allies list: a Tamurkhan’s Horde army cannot take Tzeentch units as allies, but that has nothing to do with whether Tzeentch armies can take Tamurkhan’s Horde units as allies. The Tamurkhan’s Horde keyword is not mentioned either way on the DoT allies list, and anyway, Sayl doesn’t have the Tamurkhan’s Horde keyword. Roll a die, make up your answer or check with your TO if this is a competitive event. There is “implication” that Allies are based on keyword. But no FAQ. And the example used in the implication was poor. As it was based on determining Allegiance Abilities. Not what actually gets put into lists. Maybe we’ll get lucky with GHB 2018. Tasman
I ran him with a Fatesworn warband as an ally choice. No reason not to.... he's got StD keyword and everybody else in that battalion does too, at least the way I run it
