alletg82@gmail.com
Dear all, I have a doubt about the retreat. The rule say "If a unit retreats, then it can’t shoot or charge later that turn (see below)". This mean "skip the shooting phase" or "don't use your missile weapon"? If mean the second, therefore I can use the Dragonfire ability of my dragon, correct?
heywoah_twitch
It means "Can't use a weapon with a Ranged Profile on its warscroll". Abilities like a Black Dragon's Noxious Breath or a Stonehorn's Blood Vulture can be used regardless of retreating or running. However, if it has a ranged weapon profile, even if the whole thing just says "see below" like Frost Wreathed Ice, it counts as a ranged weapon and can not be fired. alletg82@gmail.com
Do you know if there is a FAQ about this? Because for me it's very clear, but for other isn't the same.

If you then look at any Warscroll you see that certain attacks are part of MISSLE WEAPONS. It's those attacks you can't use then. There isn't much to not understand here, it doesn't get much more clear as having specific attacks listed under bold all capital letters.

Sorry to jump on this - but does this mean a dragonlord can retreat and use his breath as it is not a missile weapon, but a zombie dragon can't because it's breath comes under the missile weapon bit? That's correct. Age of Sigmar is full of Warscroll to Warscroll exceptions. In this case the only Missle Weapon the Dragonlord has is the Reaver Bow. The Zombie Dragons have a Missle Weapon too and that's their Pestilential Breath.
