Troll Terrible Stench?

How do you interpret this rule?

"Terrible Stench: Your opponent must subtract 1 from any hit roll made by one of their models that targets a Troll Hag in the combat phase."

Does your opponent pick one of their models to suffer the stench effect or do all their models that attack suffer the effect or?

I posted this in the Destruction forum and got one response that it affects all enemy models targeting the troll(s).  I hope this is correct but I thought I'd post here to see if others agree or disagree, perhaps in a space less biased toward Destruction...

Any attack that targets the Troll Hag in combat suffers the -1 penalty. If a model splits its attacks between a Troll Hag and some other target (say, a unit of Grots), the penalty only applies to the "to hit" roll against the Troll Hag.
