There's still two Mondays between now and the 18th, so I don't think it's impossible we could see the rumoured Morghast Hero and maybe a Nighthaunt (there was that silhouette in the teaser) before then, with LVO being committed to Book IV.
Been a while since the last two Warcry teams, so I'd assume we'll see at least a new one there. Maybe another Underworlds team.
But now we're in the leadup to 4.0 and FEC still waiting in the wings, I'm definitely not expecting much.

Is £175 for the tomb kings worth it?
Rulebook alone is £42.50 separately. The Bone Dragon seems to be inflating the price a lot over the Bretonnian one, so I imagine the overall set will be a decent saving... even if the initial cost is a high one to swallow.

Edit: are 175 pounds equal to 230€??!
You need to account for the arbitrary GW Foreigner Tax when it comes to non-UK pricing.

Happy New Year, gamers!
What do you think will be the next event where there will be previews for AoS?Las Vegas Open on the 18th.

A How To Play video for The Old World. These are rarely very exhaustive, but another rules preview can't hurt.

Perhaps the Fyreslayer anniversary model is a hint that they'll be getting some sort of sizeable release sometime within the year much like how the the previous anniversary model was a ghoul king that was eventually followed by the FEC release.
That and there's a correlation between the ethereal and the new Kroot/Tau wave happening in the near future, could be that going forward the anniversary models might be hints towards upcoming faction release waves.
KO only receiving the Codewright last year despite being the AoS Anniversary model admittedly doesn't fill me with optimism, but then again, there was the Boxing Day Ghoul King.

Store Anniversary Fyreslayer Runesmiter! Hopefully a sign that more is to come for them in 2024.
I know 'another Fyreslayer Foot Hero' is a running joke now, but at least he's an improvement on the existing, admittedly kind of awkwardly posed, Runesmiter who comes with the Magmadroth.
And a Tau Ethereal, if you're into that.

Here are the GB prices
This is from the "Asia Export Order Form 01.01.2024", on Rest of the World options on tne retailer resources site.
The most egregious part of that list are the dice costing £26.
I know they've been combo raising the price and shrinkflationing their dice for a few years now, but that's a crazy price, even if they are an optional accessory.

Unless the Tomb Guard comes in a box of 20 then there is no way this is an accurate listing. They have the GLORIOUS necrosphinx kit at 75 dollars…… can someone please tell me what the old/original price of that magnificent kit was? Cause if it was the same price back before the end times then I need to go hunt down some scalpers on eBay.
It was £32.50 RRP, which is around $65 in current GW pricing (accounting for the arbitrary GW Foreigner Tax)
That being said, it's a box of 20 rather than the 10 they were originally sold at.

The list mentions Knights of the Realm On Foot, so it's probably fake considering neither the article nor video states they're going up for pre-order next week.

How many of the new TK and Bret sculpts are net new units for the army that weren't in any old books? Was it just the bone dragon or were there others?
I'm just wondering if the new army compendium books, being meant to give you the whole army profiles minus the special characters from the arcane tomes, will have to spoil any new miniatures for the other factions. I guess something would have leaked if so though, maybe the books will just have photos of the old versions of some minis getting resculpts later on
Knights of the Realm On Foot are 'new' insofar as they weren't a thing in the 6th Edition Army Book (though appeared in older editions). Elisse Duchaard is also a new character. I think that's it modelwise, sans updated sculpts.
With this being done by the Forge World team, there's probably going to be some things which get rules, but won't automatically receive models. Horus Heresy and Necromunda probably being the most prominent examples of this.
The Grand Army of Bretonnia already mentioned Squires and Sergeants At Arms. It's also been noted that the Arcane Journal lists Cecil Gastonne and Yeoman Guards, as well as Border Princes Brigands, Bombards and Outcast Wizards, which we haven't seen yet either.

That’s it for this year. Join us tomorrow for a special reveal to ring out the year.
Maybe we get to see those few last unlisted videos if there are any left?
Might be something TOW, since the rumour is it'll be going up for pre-order next Saturday and they'd be announcing that tomorrow.
Although I'll take anything which isn't another bloody Dark Angel.

How does this survey matter at all?
How is this even a discussion?
We need something to talk about with the lack of rumours and it's fun to grumble.

I think it was always going to be either Angron or the Lion. If there's a primarch, daemon or otherwise, released they tend to win best mini for that year.
The AoS ones that did honorable mentions are all solid choices in their own way. Harbringer was my fav (I just need to get round to painting him)
There was no way Johnny and Ron weren't going to be #1 and #2 but I was expecting an AoS model to slide into third place.
But looking at what people were voting for here, I think there were just too many good models that split the vote heavily, which is an excellent 'problem' to have.

Mini of the Year results are in and they're not a surprise; disappointing, but not surprising.

Empire
- Plastic - General on Demigryph.
- Plastic - An elite heavy armoured infantry.
- Resin - Banner Bearer.
- Resin - Arcane Collegiate member.
- Resin - Engineer.
Green Skins:
- Plastic - Orc on Serpent.
- Plastic - Black Orcs.
- Resin - Warchanter.
- Resin - Goblin something.
That is my guess for the next rumoured wave.Dwarfs
-
Plastic - Slayers. They're the only infantry unit which didn't receive a plastic kit (except Rangers) and presumably the CAD exists due to the Dragon Slayer releasing with 8th. They have however shown a photo with the old metals, repainted at that, so maybe this is just a fool's hope (or they're deliberately being sheepish about revealing them yet).
-
Plastic - Anvil of Doom. Thorek Ironbrow's model was ancient and it's never had a 'generic' version in model form. The Dwarfs have never done big centrepieces and I think this would serve as an appropriate middle ground.
-
Resin - Dwarf Lord with Shieldbearers. I could possibly see this being plastic instead of the Anvil of Doom, but ultimately, it is just two dudes holding aloft a third one. The other metal/Finecrap Lords were otherwise pretty modern sculpts and have aged fairly well, plus we've already seen several of them used for TOW photographs. The Shieldbearer is a very iconic Warhammer Dwarf thing, so I'm 100% convinced we'll see a new one in some form.
-
Resin - Ranger/Hero. The Engineers and Runesmiths may be getting their old sculpts reused and we know from the Grand Army of Bretonnia that they've come up with new Lords and Heroes. A Ranger Hero (or even Lord) seems like an obvious new inclusion that would justify a model to boot.
- Resin - Named female Queen. Call it a hunch.

I think it was just theorising based on them having gotten a mini-wave relatively recently and an Underworlds warband earlier still, coupled with Death slated to be getting a Warcry warband.
