No, units of 6 to make them easier to buff with your Shoggoth.

With a cunning mix of Saraus warrior and maurauder you could also build some Bestigor or Gors which are lizard legs and human torsos to fit into the army theme

Love the idea of lizard beastmen from seraphon models

Ogroid summons chaff with one of the most powerful magic missile spells in the game (D6 mortal wounds on a 7), and is a very solid melee beater to boot.  Shaggoth has a better combat profile, but not by that much (thaumaturge has the mortal wounds for charging).  Wounds are comparable (thaumaturge 2 less but heals 1 per turn).

Assuming the shaggoths ability doesn't change (which it might) he has a 50% chance of healing D3 per turn. Which on average is 1 per turn

Everybody says we are no gonna get new models a part from those we saw already so endless spells and the stone. I d be surprised if they announce something new before NOVA ends.

Yeah I kind of figured as much, just living in hope haha

I will settle for a rebox though and fingers crossed for a start collecting of some sort

I'm not so sure the letter bomb is the most effective way to go with the gore pilgrims battalion.  You really can't stack buffs around in that battalion since it mostly synergizes with mortals.  I'm thinking an MSU approach with lots of warriors and reavers with totem support and aspiring champion with blade and hammer will give better bonuses across the board.  Not only that but open up a lot more opportunities to summon or use blood tithe abilities.

You can then supplement your army with whatever you need as the blood tithe should be flowing quickly.

Bloodsecrator effects all khorne models in range and all the prayers can target any khorne model. No requirement for mortal key word. Or did I miss an FAQ?

Hi, thanks again for the welcome and the tips :) i guess you mean shackles instead of cogs?  And yes i can change the list abit as i proposed just a bit before But i wont go from 2 mammoths xD i want to see those beasties together ;D

I like the idea of whipping a mammoth with a bloodstoker then teleporting him with sayl the faithless. Expensive combo but would definitely force people to deal with a back line first turn charge from an absolute beast (or 2 in your case)

    Maybe it’s Skaarac?

But it is mostly likely just a super-buffed Khorgorath.

@Ravinsild care to share your secret recipe for “Super Khorgorath”?

The most buffed i can think of would be:

skulltake,  8 attacks, 2 damage each, 3 if the wound roll is 6+

    killing frenzy, 2+ to hit

LoKoJ, +1 to wound (extra damage on 5+)

    Bloodstoker, reroll 1s to wound.

could also throw in a warshrine for rerolling hits.

thats up to 16 wounds in combat with 8 attacks at 2+/2+/-1/2 and full rerolls

plus his tentacles and extra damage on wound roll of 5+

That is a lot of points to make a super khorgie though

Anyone have thoughts on the Wrath of Khorne bloodthirster? It seems good but I'm on the fence about spending 320 points on one starting in my army as opposed to summoning one later on.

What bloodthirster variants are y'all running? :)

100% love him, but i wouldn't bother if you don't run the letter bomb.

His command ability is what sets him apart from the other bloodthirsters as giving you first turn charge. That and his re-roll hits against heroes.

As @Agent of Chaos said, he dies easy and isn't the best when not buffed with extra damage (although I normally run him with immense power/crimson crown and I'm thinking of going immense power/doppelganger next time to let him survive longer).

That said, i summoned one in a game yesterday and he one shot a warchanter holding an objective (flail hits sometimes ?) then was able to summon a unit of 5 bloodletters on the objective next turn, kill 8 ardboys the next shooting phase and tie up another unit to prevent them getting to an objective - game winning!

I'm actually planning on writing up a battle report for the game, was awesome and actually ended in a draw

I would just like to point out.

The forge world exalted greater demon of khorne is a greater demon of khorne. You can summon it.

Hey, looking at the leaked page from one of the youtube videos, it specifies the three standard bloodthirsters you can summon by name, so no exalted or Skarbrand

(top of page 152 on the old thread)
