    There are no GW kits that block line of sight that are area terrain.  They are all laughably easy to see through in some form or fashion.  I've seen players resort to dropping GW forest bases and then custom modeling a dozen trees on top of them so that they really block line of sight.

    Which incites rage and "modeling for advantage" cries.

    So yeah.  The four page rules.  Lol.

    While the game remains as simplistic as it is, it will continue to be avoided by a large amount of people that expect a certain level in "wargames".  The always fluctuating mysterious terrain is largely ignored because people want consistency.  The true line of sight combined with the slavish addiction to GW model kits only or else you are modeling to advantage is also a problem.

    To try to claim that terrain hinders movement is also ... well... largely false.  Terrain does nothing to hinder movement other than pedantically make you move an inch or so around something... in a system where you can move in any direction you want and many models can move almost a foot or more a turn plus another potential foot on the charge.   In a game where Turn 1 charges are not uncommon and you can often get most of your army engaged by turn 2.

    So yeah.  GW.  Put out some advanced optional rules please.

    Which would make area terrain blocking line of sight a keynote.  Shooting is what shooting is because most tables you can see whatever you want and target it.

    sigh.... are any of your posts not about your group crying? they cry at literally everything

    even if they put out " advanced optional rules " your group will still cry about it as then suddenly everyone will be playing different versions of the same game and how can they prepare for competitive tournaments when everyone is playing different versions etc etc... you'll have members moaning that person x wants this rule set but person y doesnt as they feel it is countering their army or the other playing is picking rules to gain unfair advantage etc etc.

    As has been said many times, there is "advanced optional rules" its called house rules. which they actively encourage by games-workshop; as that is exactly what your "advanced optional rules" are two people agreeing on additional rules to supplement the base game, even if they are " official " both players need to agree on them to start a game. they do not need to be in the book.

    I was thinking that the reason death has not gotten anything is because they were going to do a whole campaign where death becomes the main protagonist and suddenly 5 new death armies drop in 6 months. I was also hoping this is not the case because getting too much is not a good thing either, it would be too much to keep up with and too expensive to start 5 new armies in a single year. One new death army every other year would be amazing.

    Nothing is forcing you to buy everything they release upon release

  3. Well blades of khorne and stormcast don't really count... they realised they forgot the traits and things they were prepping for ghb17 so smashed everything together, not really a new release,

    So just Tzeentch and karadon overlords really, and they were very close together.

    So thats 2 armies. For The year.... There's been alot of empty weeks I've noticed tbh, alot of boxed games, 2? Months of 40k and feels like 8 weeks of deathguard...

    2018 needs to be better

    Was there a rumor going on about the next storyline for Age of Sigmar going to be next year? I thought I heard something to deal with Nagash?

    The whole rumour mill is a mess and tbh since 40k 8th I've given up all reliance on such talk on here, seems to be more wishlisting than solid rumours

    I consider him to be more of a textbook example for a particularly strong Chaos Spawn really.

    his fluffy rule in 8th edition about eating things and pooping out spawn would be epic in AOS. ( as long as they were free )

    love to know why nurgles rot isnt on every nurgle hero..

    Well it follows what weve seen from the GH2017 spoilers.

    I firmly believe that GW decided to have a good look at any unit that so far has not seen a competitive representation in an army list and those are actually quite a lot of units. Even those who have seen some play are likely to have some points dropped if they need to be a big unit to become relevant.

    In addition I even think that FW will have their points update probably in the nex month after GH2017 is released.

    they just updated theirs though didnt they? not a month ago i dont think...

    If this is what they have in mind as Nurgle release, i am ****** mad.

    No mortals, no battletome, no allegiance? Are u joking?

    this release means a few things. look at what tzeentch got.

    new changling ==> new epidemus

    new lord of change ==> new great unclean one

    blue horrors an brimstone ==> new beasts or nurgle?

    sounds like a new hero,

    tzaangors ==> pestigors ( hopefully)

    skyfires/enlightened ==> new cav?

    book, dice, cards. lore of magic which gives extra spells. now the task is to find out what additional thing nurgle stuff gets
