How did an eel heavy list play 3 places of arcane power?

I didn’t really test. Was playing a casual game on stream (and batrep next week) against a new player so didn’t want to break out 20 eels. Had 3x10 thralls barebones. Against plaguebearers wiped them out easy with +1 attack. Then against drones one unit of 9 almost wiped a whole unit in one round with the 2 damage. They did so much damage to GUO. We’re pretty awesome

Yea. They’re not eels. But it could be an alternative army build I reckon but yea eels. Lucky I have lots of those. They do suck though when not charging haha

Er. Why don’t people use more thralls. Just played them for first time and even a 10 man unit was putting out HURT!

I find they can really be distractions. Double dodge dice can be a pain to get through. and @Sleboda what faq?

Hey guys. New to DoK can someone explain why hag queen over slaughter queen? The slaughter queen can unbind, can make unit pile in twice and another in hero phase with command ability. Sure it’s 40 points more. Is that main reason? also as a new player wanting competitive army with morathi, what am I looking at?

@Chris Tomlin how would you optimize your list post-facehammer? You had stated elsewhere that aventis was not optimal

Any chance of sharing your deck? I agree I think varclav is the true one to preserve and in a few games where I used my queen aggressively she was good and still didn’t die due to 2 dodge. Putting concealed weapon on her is so good. I also try and run my deck largely score immediates. Would be awesome to share some decks

Yea. I’m thinking of making it more killy and less objectives. But making leaving in supremacy or tactical supremacy objectives

Didn’t see a thread for this warband so started one played a bunch of games but still don’t know best way to play them. One would assume objectives but there are so many ways to push people off these days. They actually have decent hitting power and surprisingly resilient with 2 dodge so maybe playing aggro and getting inspired is best way? Keeping varclav alive seems vital to your mobility but he’s also a decent hitter so those two things don’t seem to mesh. Briar wueen is good and shes she’s not that vital to an objective game. But sometimes you spend most of your actions doing varclavs thing and you end up never even moving her. Anyone else got tips?

Tbh. For 800 points. It’s fine. If you get hit by a spell portal and hand of dust turn 1 them you just deployed wrong. Especially in a game where it’s usually obvious whose gonna go first. If hand of dust gets nerfed he better go down in price

Key for me is will 12 horrors get wiped out in TWO turns for the dreaded double.

I’m still on the fence about realm rules and spells for our tournaments tbh. We didn’t run them at CCBB

Depends very much in scenario. Your kings are your wizards and characters so you need them for a couple of scenarios. Otherwise I would spam all my summoning up front and charge enemy from all directions using 7+ rerollable charge and try and wipe them out. Arkhan I can’t see being anything other than another tough target that just dishes mortals and sometimes will 1-shot something big with curse of years.
