  1. Can we finally acknowledge at the close of the year that we actually have a true rumor source? In the long and time honored line of Hastings, Atia, and now King Whitefang First of His/Her Name!
  2. Sad. I really like the KO, but outside of a few boxes of Thunderers and a Gunhauler I’ve been holding off to see if they get just about couple more units before making the serious plunge.
  3. The trolling!!!!!! To be clear- positive trolling. But it makes me want to KNOW MORE.
  4. Man just reading your post hurt me on the inside haha. Idoneth are even my main AoS army, and I STILL wish they had played out to be more like the initial Cthulhu aelf rumors.
  5. I guess I am hoping the community article is poorly worded? But I think if they were coming out with a multi-part version, they would have said that also. So that sort of stinks. Puts a damper on the release to be honest. Although I am pumped about the SC box, I was hoping to finally update all the very very old warrior models.
  6. Just so I establish that I do have a dog in this fight, my Deepkin collection is: 60x thralls, 30x reavers, 18x eels, turtle, 3x sharks, Aspect of the Sea, 3x Soulrenders, and all the other heroes x1. I think it is probably totally doable to do what you are describing above. I STILL think the Deepkin should have gotten a couple more units by now. I very much dislike the release/whatever you want to call it strategy behind Deepkin, Overlords, Fyreslayers (though they got a bit of love). I remember when Atia was first breaking rumors about AoS and one of the main ones was that GW would not be supporting armies beyond initial releases other than with small splash releases (and also that they would focus on monsters and heroes). If you think about it, the only army where this rumor has proved false is Stormcast. It is one of the rumors that bothered me the most, because it does not lend itself to long term concentration on one army. Maybe this is what GW wants. I guess probably they do want you to collect each new army as it comes out. But from the perspective of someone who collects as much to create a story focused group as to play, it sort of is getting old. I guess we will see, as AoS is pretty new still. But I would really like to see true unit expansions for factions (and this includes old factions like Seraphon and Skaven!).
  7. Don’t you say these things! Although honestly if we dont at least we have something. I would particularly be sad about no great weapon option.
  8. On the positive side of the models being push fit to start off, that should mean the box is cheaper. Right? Right? Bueller?
  9. I need to know everything you know. Right nao. Yesterday would actually be my preference.
  10. Same for me, still not available to purchase.
  11. You can't actually buy the battletome from the app on the Apple store though can you? The option to buy it doesn't even show up either on my iPhone or ipad.
  12. I'm sorry what? Do you know something new, or did I miss another rumor?
  13. I've never been so happy to be wrong! What a great release. Cannot wait to start making some conversions using the new base models. I saw someone above say they might be mono-pose? I think that would be odd. Either way I am getting the SC box, but would be nice to start off with multipose kits.
  14. I would love for a new 3-4 model 40/50mm Chaos Warrior kit, make them more elite more like the 7th/8th edition codex fluff. Then new marauders would be amazing.
  15. Can I just put a little bit of cold water on the expectations of new models (aside from the knights and lord, that rumor seems cruising to be proven correct)? The leaked release list also shows a Start Collecting StD, and to me that means (new) basic troopers are probably not part of this release. I mean, I am one of the ones who wants new Chaos Warriors badly, but I think it is a long shot.
  16. I had forgotten entirely about that last conversation. I am still shocked those pictures didn’t leak after months.
  17. What did you say 4 months ago!? You’re killing me smalls!!
  18. There is a big long part in the middle about how not buying led to the game going away. So I guess yes I read it differently than you?
  19. I do not see the do more part. I just read the ‘do not tell them to vote with your wallet’. The reads to me more as a don’t do this, do that instead.
  20. I am very, very excited to see what the all-cav army looks like. I have been looking to base a new army around mostly cav, and this could definitely be it. And I think that even though the cav heroes are a bit too much like Stormcast in design for me. I don't get this at all. I like the Bonereapers, for the most part, but this sort of thought is so strange to me. The "buy the models even if you don't like them" may be one of the least rational parts of the wargame community.
  21. This seems like the culmination of what we should have seen coming a while back with boxset exclusive (or exclusive for a long period of time) characters. I hope GW realizes their success started coming back because they began to listen to the community and made awesome models that people could choose from. Not forcing people to buy large boxsets and justify it to themselves somehow. And yes, I know you can just choose to not buy the box. But why can't GW choose to be somewhat friendly to their customers. I don't like feeling as though a company is trying to force me to purchase a specific way, and I hope GW realizes the mistake soon.
