  1. Can you confirm where this is in the ghb? Thanks! Is translocation good because you can move after or just a hero phase teleport is good? I can't imagine the move after teleport is intended and will likely get FAQ'd (or fixed in the book)
  2. Makes sense! I missed that distinction! Still a great synergy, but not as scary as I thought it might've been
  3. You could always do what I did, build Lauka Vai, but swap the hand and sword arm, they fit fine and having the sword up should help make enough of a difference! If not, you'd probably be looking at greenstuff-ing hair or a face. As an unrelated question, I've been wondering on the specifics of Vahnel's Danse Macabre and Skeletons. Say, for instance, i had 30 skellies with VDM. Opponent fights, kills 15. I activate them, roll 15 dice, 4+ some stand up. My question is when i activate them again, do I roll 15 dice again? Possibly more if they died while attacking (such as mortal wounds on 6s to save from the opponent, or a second unit fighting them between my activations)? Their rule says to roll a dice for each model in this unit that was slain this phase, so I assume that's it, i just wanted to be sure! Thanks! Edit: also i'm aware even rolling the extra dice, they'd never be able to go above 30 models, per the core rules forgot to say that!
  4. That's an excellent point, but I think since the dominion cards are the only published rules for them, you use those. For the SCE allegiance abilities it's different, as nothing directly references Blaze of Glory, so there's nothing that depends on it.
  5. It's definitely gonna depend on the TO, as it is, the Dominion cards are not listed under the Matched Play publications (where it lists what's legal for this season)
  6. Agreed! I understand the whole throwing the spear like hunting thing, but why can't she use her fancy named spear in close combat at all??
  7. This depends heavily on whether the multi-part Vindictors are dual-kits though. If so, then this won't happen, as for 35€, you'd get the choice of two units instead of just the one push fit unit.
  8. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/07/12/grey-knight-castellan-crowe-and-his-haunted-sword-return-with-an-awesome-new-model/ New crowe model looks great!
  9. Honestly I'm mostly using the Imperatant for the free command each turn. Getting a free command is a huge boon, I found myself burning a lot of points to try and keep my battlelines alive in the two games I've played so far, so more points are always welcome. If his ability gets added to other units, I'll happily swap him out, but for now that's the main reason I'm using him. You're right though, I am missing a hammer of some kind, 10 evocators sounds pretty good, might make that work and cut down the Libs Agreed, Probably won't stack, but definitely needs an FAQ.
  10. Yeah, I wasn't trying to say Yndrasta gets her ward, then makes bodyguard roll. I was mostly trying to clarify, would she roll for bodyguard, then she can roll ward on any that don't get passed? Per that FAQ it seems so, as the wording of the answer only talks about the instance in which a wound is transferred, not about if you roll for it and it fails to transfer the wound. So the series i'd be following (if i'm understanding the intent correctly): Armor save failed -> wounds calculated -> Praetor Bodyguard ability -> Praetors make ward saves for whatever gets transferred to them & Yndrasta makes ward saves for whatever didn't. Mostly because as far as I can tell, Death gets to do this with Immortis Guard or Kosargi Nightguard + Radukar. Deathless Minions is a Ward, 100%. So if the bodyguard unit gets the ward save on any that get transferred, logically, the unit that originally got hit would get the ward save on any that didn't get transferred, no?
  11. per the points page from the Learn to Play video, he's now Celestant-Prime, Hammer of Sigmar! (which I think has always been his subtitle, but it's never been on the points page!)
  12. You're right, but technically it's not a ward (at least that's what I'm getting from the FAQ on 14.3). So as far as I'm aware, Praetors make the bodyguard roll, if successful, they take the wound (unless given a ward save such as through the general prayer Bless). If you roll a 1-2, Yndrasta would get her ward. The way i see it is this: Armor save failed -> damage is allocated -> Praetor bodyguard ability -> ward saves -> wounds are applied to model(s). I'd love some specific clarification on how these units interact, but even just giving Yndrasta the Praetors for ablative wounds vs shooting and she can rez 1 on each of your hero phases.
  13. Allegiance: Stormcast Eternals - Mortal Realm: Hysh - Grand Strategy: Hold the Line - Triumphs: Leaders Yndrasta the Celestial Spear (300) in Warlord Lord Imperatant (160) in Warlord Lord-Arcanum (160) in Battle Regiment - General - Command Trait: Staunch Defender - Artefact: Amulet of Destiny (Universal Artefact) - Spell: Azyrite Halo Knight Vexillor with Banner of Apotheosis (125) in Battle Regiment - Artefact: Arcane Tome (Universal Artefact) Lord-Relictor (110) in Battle Regiment - Universal Prayer Scripture: Curse Battleline 10 x Vindictors (280) in Warlord - Reinforced x 1 5 x Judicators (150) in Battle Regiment - Skybolt Bows - 1x Shockbolt Bows 5 x Judicators (150) in Battle Regiment - Skybolt Bows - 1x Shockbolt Bows 15 x Liberators (285) in Battle Regiment - Warhammer & Shield - Reinforced x 2 Units 3 x Praetors (155) in Battle Regiment Endless Spells & Invocations Emerald Lifeswarm (60) Soulsnare Shackles (65) Additional Enhancements Artefact Total: 2000 / 2000 Reinforced Units: 3 / 4 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 115 Thoughts on this list? Praetors bond to Yndrasta and she hangs back to throw her spear until she can get a good charge on a unit, Liberators and Vindictors hold the line with All-out Defence, new shields and Bless. Lifeswarm + Yndrasta heal helps keep them topped up. Two units of Judicators cause it gets me +1 to hit with the second Shockbolt Bow (since I can take 2 primes).
  14. These are the two relevant FAQ answers for the 2nd part of your question. I dont have the core rules at hand so I can't speak to the "going over starting size" but hopefully this helps
  15. Hey, handful of thoughts for ya - Not much reason to make Yndrasta the General, its kinda just wasting your command trait choice (she can't have one because she's unique - Personally, I haven't been impressed with Annihilators, to me, they seem like slightly stronger retributors. You could cut them to add a Lord-Arcanum (kitbash one or use the magazine Knight-Incantor if youre not going to a Tournament) and make them your General for Sequitor Battleline and extra casting power. - Also worth noting, because of how the Praetor's Soul-Forged Guardians ability is worded, whoever they soul-bond to must be on the battlefield (nothing says they have to be at first), so in your current list, they'd only be able to bond to the Lord-Imperatant and the Knight-Vexillor. otherwise, I like the list! I hope this didn't come off as too demanding or negative!
  16. Second silhouette for the stormcast looks like an alternate Knight-Judicator. (The bow isn't drawn back)
  17. I forgot they were a thing, thanks for the reminder! They should be perfect!
  18. Considering starting a Soulblight Avengorii army now that the Vyrkos are free (yeah i know they dont get the benefit, i dont really care, i just wanna use the Bloodborn rules) Any suggestions for alternate Bloodborn models so they look less feral, more regal? Like the new foot Vampire Lord? I mostly play with my friends so not at all worried about competitive or anything like that
  19. Worth pointing out, this FAQ is not new!! This was in the Core Rules FAQ from Winter 2018 (Check AoS Shorts' combined FAQ pdf!) Nothing's changed about this in the last 3 years, exact same wording as always, I don't think it's gonna be a problem.
  20. To be fair, they do say all you have to do is get your opponent's permission. So if you tell your opponent (or the tournament organizer) "This is my army (painted like the Hammers) and it's Anvils of the Heldenhammer," and they say ok, then thats it. I'm pretty sure they had this rule last edition. Edit: yeah, this commentary question is, word for word, just copied from the last edition core rules faq. Nothing's changed since then about that so no need to worry.
  21. Yeah, gw always releases stuff in waves. Why would they wait until August when we know the book comes out in July? There's no way GW's just gonna release the battletomes (cause don't forget, Orruk Warclans are getting a new tome too) and not put out any models alongside it. At the very least, we can expect some number of new models, whether that's Vanquishers/Vindictors, maybe the rumored new ranged unit (if its not Vanquishers) and a hero or two or its something else entirely, the battletome's gonna go on pre-order sometime in July and new models will go on pre-order alongside it, just like they did with Soulblight (and pretty much every other army ever)
  22. Who says it comes before knight-judicator and the chariot? Why wouldnt they include those models in the book if they were sculpted, built, cast and painted by 'eavy metal before they even revealed the dominion box? By all means the new tome should include all of the units we've heard of, plus a few we haven't of course!
  23. Thats a fair assessment, mostly cause i like the model but yeah, very valid point. As i said, not the most competitive list, just something ive been considering
