  1. It's like light vinyl or something, should be an ok quality.
  2. They're a bit monopose, just like the StD Chaos Warriors, a hangover from the regiment days. That said, they have some of the best big model sculpts still.
  3. Pretty hard to go five minutes on other parts of the internet without seeing "Seraphon need a battletome" I am surprised that adults can get so petulant/not understand the sense behind taking the two starter armies to parity.
  4. Which is more than Nurgle, Slaanesh, Empire, Seraphon and Regular Chaos have had. Death are the faction most in need of a bump, for sure, and in time they will get it. The fact that they need the most work is probably why they're taking their time over it. I'm sure everyone would rather their faction get a proper filling out rather than a token gesture. It is unfortunate to have to wait, but such is the nature of life sadly. I just hope it will be worth it.
  5. Absolutely. I understand people frustrated at a lack of Death/Aelves update... but the release rate is formidable. Unless you release everything at the same time, something is going to be ahead of something else. It makes sense to bring most complete Chaos faction outside of Tzeentch up to date, especially because they're part of the starter set.
  6. They need a bit more work doing than just a Battltome. This being released does not preclude GW from working on an update. It's been heavily implied that there will be Aelves at Adepticon. Patience is a virtue!
  7. They've released a whole Tzeentch army, a new chamber of Stormcast, a whole new Duardin faction... I think a Battletome for Khorne is a fair release considering their model range.

  9. Hello! That was mentioned earlier yes, I hope you are correct!
  10. Moving away from Dwarves a little - are really down on the Thunder and Blood box. Do they really think that everything GW releases has to massage their own private desires? It's clearly a great little start for kids to get into the hobby, like Battle for Vedros. The salt around it is ridiculous, people have no perspective.
  11. I reckon we'll see a named hero, a multi-kit battlesuit and another battleline.
  12. Yaaass I totally called the metal orbs filled with magic
  13. It's worth noting that the majority of stuff on the schedule for GAMA today and tomorrow is almost explicitly boardgame related, so that's probably why they're just showing new "boxed game" stuff as opposed to wheeling out the minis.
  14. Nice info, thanks! Shame that Shadow War sounds like an extension of Kill Team to Infinity style levels of rules rather than a game about gangs fighting it out, but new stuff is usually good stuff!
  15. Just did a big spree of likes - lots of great stuff in this thread. Impressed to see so many people working with greenstuff in a way that looks effortless. My experiences so far are that it is the devil itself.
  16. I've noticed now that I need to thin those armour highlights a bit better.
  17. 'Sake GW gonnae just let us know what stuff is? Rumour parsing community is clutching more straws than Daniel Plainview these days.
  18. How long/well written ar GW books recently? I'm a lit student but I've always shied away from the novels - I prefer the shorts and the snippets of lore that you wove together to form a story back in 2E 40K as opposed to when the stories started getting more involved. That said, I am more open to reading about the Garden of Decay than I would like to admit.
  19. I think the image @Turragor posted is spot on. I said a while back that the Harpoon had me thinking of an Ahab like character for the dwaves - given their long history of grudges - and I think a floating steam ship is a perfect Pequod for him. People are assuming zepplin, but I can imagine those orbs being like the plates on the Nebuchadnezzar from the Matrix, except fantasy instead of SciFi - some kind of aether or warp powered magic ore that allows them to float - it would also prevent people from saying "well just shoot the balloons" Of course I could be totally wrong, but I would like to see this direction. Dwarves harness magic by forging items and tools with unique properties instead of casting spells - this is that, but turned to 11.
  20. Love the glow! No pictures, just a tale: I got myself a Star Collecting! Slaves to Darkness box because why not get a chariot and more warriors (yuck) with the Knights and Sorcerer I wanted? Anyway I had plans to convert Sorcerer and a few of the knights/chariot riders but I was exhausted and couldn't find any good inspiration in my bits box or online. So all I did was slightly rotate the Sorcerer's arm because the hand is a nice sculpt and it now looks like he is going "surprise!" or "free hugs". Ah well...
  21. Wow @Hagen, that's a stellar block of advice. I'll keep it in mind. Your conversion are excellent so I am pretty sure you know what you're talking about. I don't have a closet of shame yet, but we'll see what happens over the years. Also thanks to @swiftmus and @Gavroche too!
  22. Glad I took the time to go through this thread - it's all tremendously inspiring. I have a question for you guys - feel free to answer regardless of your level: How do you get into the converting? Is it years of accruing bitz for your hobby box, or do you break down uneeded infantry that you have lying around, or are you all serial over buyers and just have tons of boxes of figures? I only ask because there's just so much great work in here that I'd never be able to achieve with my brand new but minimal boxes of stuff.
  23. I forgot these: [exaggerate for effect] [/exaggerate for effect]
