@StoneMonk, interested to see this when it comes out. I totally get not wanting to get down in the details enough to have each model or character progress or grow. However, I think there may become an issue where a weak hero grows in renown and starts to have a warband that may be a little "much" for that type of hero. This is something I kept thinking about when starting my narrative campaign and decided to work in a way for the players to "level up" their general into a more powerful hero through a narrative choice that happens in a scenario mid way through. I'm sure there will be enough freedom within the rules for someone to can this to how they want it the general/heros to grow.

Sigh, I made about 30 or 40 of these guys back during the End Times, they promptly sold off my army back when I was raging. Sadly, very few pictures of them remain.

Finally got one on paper that I'm not embarrassed of. I'll probably try to draw one that looks like a 40k titan and one that looks like @Aginor 's comment. In my totally arbitrary daydream, I see the one below as a giant castle type of deal, one with four legs and a "battleship" shape more of a fort, and then the bipedal one a scout or outpost.
@WarbossKurgan, I like the one you posted. I struggle with how it would be efficient at anything though. Those legs are so short compared to what is on top, it couldn't go over anything other than a pancake without tipping over I feel.

Not sure if this is the right location for this, someone move me if i'm in the wrong spot.
Since the last story came out of Malign Portens, I can't get cogforts out of my head. It doesn't help that I am on book 3 of the Mortal Engine books and the trailer for the movie came out not too long ago.
Anyway, I keep doodling up what I think cogforts may look like. So far all my doodles are trash but I think I might finally hit on something close to what my mind sees later tonight. My doodles are below. I'll also add the Mortal Engines trailer and some art of "traction cities" from the books.
Has anyone else been sketching or drawing some moving forts?

I think it looks better from the front. A side shot would help me decide how I feel. I think it is something to do with the boxy lines on the front half.
However, the whole project is amazing and you should be stoked to get it to this point! I think if you go on to something else then come back to it, you'll get the inspiration to make it how you want it.

those drawings are awesome!

Looks ace as always!
I can't help feeling that the shrine is missing something. A big wolf skull (maybe a terrorgheist head and green stuff) or some sort of other skull, or a carved stone/brass wolf on it.

Cheers @Thundercake, and I'll be definitely digging into more tactical content soon. I have Part 2 of the tournament series coming up this Monday, and I'm working on 13 different topics as we speak. If there is anything you'd like me to focus on, I'm all ears
hmmmm, maybe things about how to play towards specific scenarios? Like how to be successful in x battleplan using y type of army, or something like that.

How cool would it be if it was the narrator guy from the videos on the MP website? I think he had some scrolls on him or around him in a video or two.

New rumor engine is out. Looks like a curtain for a Azyerite temple to Sigmar.....not really but that would be cool.

can't wait to see the goblin/ungor shaman conversion!

These look great! What is that big hairy looking guy in the back by the hogs?
Also, did you ever finish your warshrine for the bloodwolves?

Man, Krell is my favorite model. I wish they had a couple of undead units that matched his look. I'm not sold on your glowing eyes on the horses and skeletons but love the zombies. They need a new kit for them desperately but you made these look great.

I like it all, but for the flaming sword. For some reason it doesn't fit in my mind with what you wrote. But even the sword is well painted.

im really pleased with the warshrine guy tho, so much so that I'd almost rather use him as my main slaughterpriest.
He is my favorite to. I think you should try and base him so he could be the main guy on foot and the on the shrine if you needed it as well.

Looking at your priests
-The guy for the warshrine is awesome!
-The second guy, I think the head is OK, though it does seem a bit, i dunno, much?
-The last guy with the big stick axe thing, yea, I think change the head. Usually I would say it doesn't matter but everything else is so amazing with your army, don't be lazy with this one!

Loving the dragon, that guy always looks great in a variety of colors and themes.
I wish those bows for the sisters had 1 more color on them, to me they look unfinished as is.

@StoneMonk loving the discussion as well. The more I thought about it the more I don't know if I stand by my other comment anymore.
I was coming from a place of, lets take a Necromancer, its kind of silly if he has a wight king and 2 vampires following him around. Those dudes are more powerful than him lore and statwise, why in the world would they let him be in charge? It also kind of sucks that if your warband becomes more elite/powerful (lets say two varghulfs, 2 vampire lords, and 12 grave guard) and the general is really weak in combat/spell casting.
HOWEVER
There are a bunch of narrative ways to make it make sense. Just like you said, his deeds on the battlefield or as a commander give him influence and the others trust/want to follow him. Or the owe a blood debt to him or whatever.
HOWEVER
Part of me also thinks the Necromancer would get some better armor or spells or abilities or something as he gains influence through his actions on the battlefield. Maybe its stuff he loots of the dead or his warband gives him. This may be addressed in the relic system you mention.
You talk about the warband being the RPG character, I totally love that but still feel like as the "character" progresses, the general is gonna gain something beyond just influence. Pretty much just a bunch of rambling here. But what I do know is that I totally agree about not getting super granular. For me, at least, I don't want to be altering stats of every member of the warband. The general? I'm OK with altering there stats or abilities or something. But not for the 4 different handgunners I have in the warband.
