  1. Contents of the boxes are as follows: Stormcast: 2 retributors, 3 liberators, 3 prosecutors, 1 knight questor Khorne: 5 wrathmongers, 3 warriors, executioner with spear FEC: 3 crypt flayers, 20 crypt ghouls Ironjawz: 5 brutes, 10 ardboyz, shaman All of the boxes are about a 30% discount with the Ironjawz being the best at 41%. The U.S. prices for everything are: $10 for Skirmish book $80 for Sigmarite Mausoleum (garden of Morr x2) $80 for 4x4 Soulblight Battlemat $65 for each skirmish Warband box
  2. Do we know what the model count is going to be in those Skirmish boxes? Rumor says: "Wrathmongers, Exalted Deathbringer and Blood Warriors," but those can't be full kits as £40 is $65 (from prior GW pricing comparisons), but those three kits add up to $149 USD. That is an even bigger discount than anything we've seen. I wonder if they will be partial/half sprues.
  3. The other problem that people aren't considering with this ability is that the Verminlord will likely be out of position from using it how you would want hm to because of his deep strike Tunneling ability. He has to be within 3" (!!!) of the person he is casting this spell on, so the only likely recipient will be either the clanrats or the storm vermin he tunneled up with.
  4. I responded to Ben's tweet with these questions and he said he would try to answer any questions posted, so we'll see. That said, I don't anticipate a real release. This will likely be a tight ruleset made available in a White Dwarf or some other small supplement, maybe even the GHB2. I don't expect that we'll get a terrain release with it.
  5. The image we saw was an advertisement for AOS Skirmishes in this White Dwarf. There is no other information in the magazine about it.
  6. I would expect July, putting the update at exactly one year.
  7. I was wondering the exact same thing when my source mentioned the preorder. When asked, he did not offer what it looked like other than it would be a "new sculpt".
  8. New info hot off the press. Looks like we have some interesting preorders this week: 40th anniversary White Dwarf (new model) $30 Arkanaut Ironclad $115 Brokkk Grungsson $40) Aetheric Navigator $25 Shadow Wars terrain (w/2 buildings, $75, another w/2 buildings $60) as well as Sector Mechanics base set with various sizes ($35) Looks like we'll have a 4th week of KO releases.
  9. I accept the blame. The New GWtm has conditioned me to shoot for the stars. I just anticipate they are only going to spit liquid sunshine and rainbow extract.
  10. No, GW has never mandated base size, even in 8th edition. If you'll remember, comp packs had "official" base sizes for models, but GW never did despite the fact that measuring was officially base to base. I don't see any reason why they would be required to have official base sizes now either.
  11. This also potentially resolving the model to model measuring with KO and the inevitable problem of how so many of their abilities have a problem functioning if you are playing model to model (like having 25 models disembarking within 3" of a ship that sits at 3+" off the base, or needing to end a charge within half an inc). This resolving these things.
  12. I actually suspect that we are going to have a core rules update as well. The indicator of this (to me) is actually the battletome dropping this week: The Kharadron Overlords battletome does not have the four pages of core rules that every AOS product and resource has had over the past two years. I suspect that this product is the last one to roll out before the new core rules. I don't suspect they will be very much (if any longer) than the current core ruleset, but they will likely clear up things that the FAQ has had to and possibly integrate aspects of the past (or what we thought were future rules of 1) into the core rules. I wouldn't be surprised if this is where we see that same named abilities no longer stack. This is my hunch.
  13. The following are the KO USD prices, confirmed from a distributor: Arkanaut Admiral $25 Arkanaught Frigate $80 Arkanaught Company $45 Battletome Kahadron Overlords $40 Warscroll Kahadron overlords $15
  14. Agreed. Don't expect one. The best you could hope for is a named Battleforce sized box, like the two images below. That said, I would even rate something like this as quite unlikely.
  15. Here is a real rumor; this is how Pete Foley (Head of Book and Boxed Games of GW) responded:
  16. The very highest levels of GW are acutely aware of the desire for new Death models. But the beans haven't said yes yet. We just need to have patience.
  17. It was available to look at in stores in early July, and for sale in late July.
  18. The scale difference isn't maintainable. GW have already said that SCE and the new larger minis are supposed to be towering figures, not standard size. This variation can be found in their current miniature line for what they are selling. Just take a look: These are two current miniatures from their current lines. The guy on the left is assumed to be normal person scale. All the other larger miniatures are proportionately larger 7'-9'+. The smaller LOTR scale is much closer to the Witch Hunter above (which is also considered to be a current miniature).
  19. Or higher. I could easily imagine them going up to 100 (and nothing in the game is priced at 90; there was precedent for 70 point units at least).
  20. It'll obviously depend on the new cost for Khorgoraths and Bloodreavers which will determine how viable these tactics will be...
  21. I didn't have my army out for judging b/c I didn't have a board (b/c I didn't plan on even competing this weekend). The list is: 140 Harbinger (Cunning Deciver Trait, Chaos Talisman) 120 Mounted Chaos Sorcerer (Crown of Conquest) 540 28 Chaos Warriors 60 10 Marauders 60 10 Marauders 60 10 Marauders 180 5 Blightkings 180 5 Blightkings 140 Plaguetouched Warband 240 Belakor 160 Sayl 120 Reinforcement Points (Options Below) 10 Plaguebearers (100) 10 Chaos Furies (120) No, I don't have Glottkin. I did at one point in time, but over the past 6 months I've slowly come to realize that he's a trap. The Harbinger is a much better general and Belakor does a lot more for his points comparatively. If I need something killed that is tough to crack, I throw Belakor at it and Belakor is a piece I can afford to sacrifice. The same can't be said for Glottkin. I honestly think this list has the ability to compete with the hardest lists in the game currently. I would highly recommend checking it out and giving it a test spin. It has all the tools one needs with a couple left over. I have a full write up of the synergies and tactics here.
  22. Did you see my Rotbringers/Mortal Nurgle list using the Plaguetouched Warband? I ended up placing 10th but I was on table #2 during the last game at Adepticon. It would allow you to use some of your current minis so you wouldn't have to fully start another force.
