  1. Given the new Nighthaunt synergy options as well, it could be a right beast. Easy access to rerolling 1s to Hit and +1 to Wound, for example. D:
  2. Had a starter box game with these last night. The Guardian of Souls with his +1 to Wound aura is super nasty. I'm thinking Myrmourn Banshees with the HoersShroud should be pretty evil too. If you can get the Dispel off on them, that's 3 attacks each, 4/3/-2/D3, which will put the hurt on must things.
  3. That's the GA: Death Cairn Wraith entry.
  4. Imperial Knights aren't multikit? The new heavy and light chassis only have one build, and the older kits are the same model just with different weapon options. (Not a multi-kit in the style of, say, Wild Riders/Sisters of the Thorn where you get two rather distinct units.)
  5. I don't understand why SCE players feel left out. They have what, half a dozen releases or something ridiculous now?
  6. My scheme is a rough gradient. Put on each shade light and multiple thin coats, then tie it together with the drybrush highlight. Quick and easy.
  7. Tbh I'm more looking forward to the leaked alternate Spirit Torment sculpt:
  8. I always take 1-2 in my Legion of Blood list. They generally spread out Deathless Minions and scream things to death after they've been Bravery debuffed.
  9. Banshees become very good if you have Bravery debuffs you can stack. Not sure what Nighthaunt will have in that regard though.
  10. I love the Mortarch of Grief model personally if that's what you're referring to?
  11. Got the whole army together for a big throwdown on Saturday. Won handily against their weight in Idoneth Deepkin through sheer bloody-minded attrition:
  12. I'm finding that Death seems to need to play the outlasting game. Simply wearing people down, making sure fights are in your favour and as one-sided a physically possible. I tend to use Dire Wolves as tiedown units for that reason, while the damage dealers bully and gang on the real threats. I've really struggled with using Spirit Hosts in this setup though. I run Legion of Blood for the Bravery debuff abilities as those can stack well against some armies. Spirit Hosts I find are that unit which are really good against a particular kind of unit...which is why any opponent that knows you will simply avoid it with that kind of unit. In the same way you keep your monsters away from Big Stabbaz, my opponents simply throw trash units at my Spirit Hosts who don't care about MW and don't care about Rend, which means my Hosts aren't really making themselves felt. They don't really have the speed to outmaneuver things either. I might consider Hexwraiths soon, though with the Nighthaunt release coming up I reckon I'll wait to see how that shapes up.
  13. Just got da ladz painted up ready for some proppa smashin'!
  14. Finally finished my Shadespire Warband, been absolutely loving this game lately, even if I'm getting my backside handed to me in terms of wins.
  15. Here's my spooky lot of Skeletons. Quite pleased with how they turned out:
  16. First new Death model in a long time, now finished. I'm hoping GW have a few more like it hidden up their sleeve as I'd love an army in this aesthetic.
  17. As far as I'm aware it's the biggest one. Aglaeca Dreaguth. I'm also just over halfway towards completing the Sepulchral Guard Shadespire set. Really fun models to paint, despite being snap fit.
  18. Into the fourth week of the local Path to Glory, force is going strong winning each week. I'm due to add a Vampire Lord to the below after the latest game, but it's a ferocious force atm.
  19. Got another one of my Shadespire guys done; Spooky Scythe Bloke. Might be a part-time Cairn Wraith if the new Legions of Nagash book is good: These are quite fun to paint as light "character" models when I've only got a little time or I'm waiting on a larger project to dry.
  20. Managed to finish this guy last night, my Warden for Shadespire, and also part-time Skeleton Champion. Pretty pleased with how he came out, it's not a bad sculpt for how easy-to-assemble he was:
  21. Well I got a handful more for Shadespire: Counting my 20 Grave Guard and 15 Black Knights, as well as 5 Wight Kings, I have a pretty significant load of spooky skeletons. Why yes, I am anxiously awaiting Battletome Deathrattle's release.
  22. I'll give it a go, maybe some edge highlights of a light blue as well.
  23. Got some more spooky skeletons painted up, bringing me up to a round total of 80 Skeleton Warriors! I don't have a problem you have a problem.
  24. Finally got my Mourngul finished after a few months of him sitting part-done on the shelf. Quite pleased with how the horse turned out, not entirely sure of the big beastie itself, though.
  25. Yeah, I was just hoping for some things to shake up playstyle and the like. I mean, there's some nice additions and changes, but at the end of the day I'm pretty much still running the same lists in the same old way. Ah well, here's some Dire Wolves I quickly slapped some paint on. These being Battleline might open up fun new options for me. (All cavalry force? All cavalry force!)
