Might just be me but unlike some of the painted or sprue rumors we have seen this one looks like its lower quality or atleast cast in a different material. As in its still hasent been put into production yet? Could that possibly mean its a rumor for a long way off. Remember the first ever rumor on the engine was of something we think is for the Duardin which we have yet to see. So it could by all right be just about anything

I would have to agree. To me it feels like we are being shepherded into very specific pens now. Its a shame in my oppinion. Mixed factions are so much more interesting IMO

I dont think discussing the new release is to of topic especially in the absence if any decent rumors. But yes i would agree with you. Other than a few extra models in the range im struggling to justify their existance to myself nowdays or at the very least (As obviously they provide many heresy and 40k bits) the premium prices we are expected to pay for models that are really lacking.

Yeah my previous comment wasent suggesting that the sculpt is bade by any stretch of the imagination. It just looked a little off as an AOS model. Perhaps a different paint scheme will sort it out?

See funnily enough in this case it feels like the opposite is true. I would agree with 100% in other instances but now i look at it he actually looks a little to cartoony to me. Especially wen you compare him to a bloodthirster.

Its not so bad. Its 1 additional attack per round. Considering how long games.last and you need time to get into combat i would expect 4/5 at the very most? The command ability is meh but hes a pretty good combat monster

Mounted? Plus they would be Slaanash Aelfs. Thats about as glass cannon as you can get isent it. Subtract a wound and add lightning speed and nasty attacks.

Thats an interesting idea heres my take: Lust: could refer to sexual or just an overwhelming desire for something (Cake!!) Gluttony: Greed: Desire fr excess (one of Slaanesh's core ideals) not to be confused with the lust or envy. But simply an unending desire to experience or posses more than one has. Sloth: Sloth is laziness. so perhaps the wish to have something for nothing. Wrath: Again its an excess. A desire for vegeance or death over bloodlust for the sake of bloodlust. Envy: What you said Pride: What you said. However most of those interlink in someways so i dont know if you would be able to focus a unit on each one but instead combine them in different ways. One way would be a daemon (like a horror) that shows chracteristics of each (Kind of like the daemons from Devil may cry 3) In many ways it is the same as what Slaanash already does but with more of a theme. Slaanesh's 7 commandments. You could even have it as a battle trait like Tzeentch's destiny dice. You could perform various acts during the battle that represent the pursuits of one of the sins of excess which results in a buff for your army. E.g. Sloth: Any units in your army that dont move this turn gain X. or Wrath: choose a unit at the start of the game if you destroy it you gain X of something like that. Im hoping much the same. Karic acolytes = Mortals of Excess Tzaangors = Elite Elfkin units Daemons = Daemons(But new daemons!)

This might of been just an assumption on my part but i was under the impression that they didnt take him anywhere. I thought Slaanesh hid to digest the elves in somewhere and the Tyrion and Malerion found him and proceeded to beat him up until he vomited out the elf souls. They may have built a city of fortress around him/her??

I think this sounds very plausible indeed. However are we then saying tat we expect three elf factions to appear? Tyrions crew, Malekiths Guys AND a evil Morathi/Slannash army? or will Malerion turn to the darkside as well? And what would this mean for the exile models. Id be surprised if they just up and shifted them all over a grand alliance just like that . . . perhaps they could incorporate it so you can actually choose what faction the exiles are at the start of the battle and go from there. What i think would be interesting is for Slaanesh and morathi to merge and become something that isent really either. And for Slaanesh as a result to become an outcast god fighting to regain his/her place amoung the pantheon thus creating a offshoot from chaos.

I like the models. Particularly the gryphound. I just think a devoted of s witchhunter would have been so much better. Hey ho.

I would put money on that being a Terminator hero as you can see the vents like on the back of them. possibly a librarian of some sort from the cables and and shape of the back of it. Also there is a hint of a cloak.

You say that. However its one thing to assimilate or remove an army like the brets or TK as it would take little effort. However removing one of the one of the 4 most prominent beings in the Warhammer multiverse without giving it its dues would have ended very badly i think. I dont think they will ever "Destroy" Slaanash for the same reason that GW dont openly deny the existence of Malice (Malal) it would be stupid to take a fully functioning potential army just waiting to have new life breathed into it and get rid of it when you can just leave it on the shelf for a rainy day.

Id have to assume much the same. Particularly if one of the Aelf factions is next (After the Duaradin that is) that will proberbly be a summer release. As a result of knowing more about Malerion and/or Tyrion i feel that we would need to be given a little more info of what they have being doing to Slaanesh. Looking round alot of people seem afraid that Slaanesh is on borrowed time. However im certain that you can tweak Slaanesh to play down the "less appealing" aspects as far as the public is concerned. The champion from the Lord of undeath book is proberbly agood example of this. Should i open up a thread for this? as i dont want to dilute the rumor thread with to much speculation or wish listing. Or is this on track enough for people?

Hmm Maybe perhaps the 40k lore will just give Slaanesh a good slapping and knock him/her out of commision long enough for GW to finalize how they would go about bringing Slannesh back as well as it allowing for it to possibly coincide with an AOS release. Didnt he just tell Malerion and Tyrion where to find him?? In AOS/WHFB i dont think N'kari as been around at all since the End Times
