The looks is High Elvish but the Runes and that fact that most Wanderers musicians uses horns.... Hoping Aelves in general get some love!

Yes, but sadly you must use battlelines that serves Order, "no battlelines if". So you would need liberators or such, not beeing able to field Swordmasters or PG as battlelines. If it was possible i would be incredibly happy. There is a huge discussion on the boards about it, you sohlud check it out.

My local meta plays 1250 pts, considering the game is quite new in the country. I usually play non BT Elven armies, so i am quite aware of my handicap on those matchs, but i usually have good results (win about 50-60% of my games), and we have all sorts of armies, from Brettonia/TK to Idoneth/DoK. Last tournament i played Mixed Order: - 1 Frost Phoenix (ignax scale/ Master of Defense) - 1 Archmage on Horse - 2 Reavers x 5 (battleline) - Phoenix Guard x 30 - Sisters of the Thorn x 5 Plan: Reavers cap objectives, pile all the saves on the big Bird and PG and hope for the best. My battles were against Skaven (major victory), LoN (minor victory) and Seraphon, where for the first time ever, i conceded a game. I am not a sore loser, usually i will take a loss and laught about it, but this was absolutly frustrating. The Battleplan was absolutly against me. 6 objectives, 3 on each side. Burn one for the enemy for 1d3 VP and hold one of yours for 1 VP/turn. Odds were not in my favor, but i was confidence of having a chance. Oh boy, i was soo wrong. My enemy army had Skinks for Battlelines, Slaan, Engine of the Gods, Astrolith bearer, 3 pterodactil and a Bastiladon. Enemy Deploy on a corner, behind a terrain piece the Slaan, bearer, bastilodon closing 1 side, a unit of skinks and engine closing the other one. I send Reavers for two of the objectives, kill his birds on some really lucky rolls, Phoenix charge ahead with mages suporting and PG right behind. Things are looking good, and so it begins... Disclaimer, i dont know exactly how Seraphon summoning works, but in a couple turns i was under a bazilion skinks. He just summoned and teleported units all around me, killing the reavers, mage and sisters with a barrage of shots. The Phoenix was forced to engage the bastilodon since it couldnt land on the Slaan, Engine or the Bearer due to the terrain and the swarm, and felt on the second turn. By this time all i had was the PG that had no chance of going for objectives by itself, and that was it. TO confirmed and assisted on the match, told and showed me the rules granting me that the other player rules were being used correctly and that he had great rolls on his dice. I am used to fight LoN and usually handle it pretty well, but i found the Skink spam nearly impossible to deal with, even if i had ignored it and went for objectives, since they could just teleport on top of it. How to counter this violent summoning?

Sadly, i dont think you can use the Phoenix Guard as Battleline in Hallowheart because your alligeance would have to be Phoenix Temple. Yeah , i know, it sucks.

I think elves are gona have a resolution when Tyrion/Malerion come out. Considering that Hyish is the plane where the Swifthawk HQ is, i think Tyrion Aelves will have the traditional High Elf looks but with a lot of movement (see namartis for s good example of what i mean). The whole "angelic" deal may be refering to grace and beauty, not the whole "wing and halo" thing. I also believe thata lot of elf plastic is gona be absorved into their lines. Swifthawk, Draconis, Phoenix, Eldritch Council and so on, beeing renamed, just like "gloomspite" were. Until there no BT for us...

I Think a new army is gona get anounced, plus a dual box with 2 new BT like the last ones.

Well we are missing Fyreslayers, Sylvaneth, Kharadron, Beastclaw and Tzeench 2.0 Tomes. Armies without tomes: Ogors, Free Peoples, Aelves and Dispossesed.

I do not belive that Tyrions Aelves are gona be "angelic" in the sense of winged Aelves, the same way Teclis ones are not Chuthullu elves and people will be very disapointed, AGAIN. Angelic might be a description of beauty, grace elegance. Also, if there is something involving wings, it will be Phoenix related. From all former elven lore released so far, Phoenix Temple are the only mentioned "high elf"subfaction with concrete description in the Mortal Realms, with Phoenicium on the Firestorm Campaign. My take on it is that Hyish Elves are gona be the new "traditional" High Elves with Phoenix tematic.

Kinda. On AoS and GHB 2017, mixed Order was very viable and fun. It was reasonably competitive and allowed some interesting builds. AoS 2.0 changed a lot the filosophy of the game, giving armies traits, prayers, artifacts and spells, making "pure armies" much more powerfull. Also 2.0 introduced the 1 in 4 allies rules that further even down the viability of armies like Phoenix Temple, Order Draconis and so on. So we were invested on an army that was sold as a starter, we collected, we painted and got stuck on the "now what?". Aelves are into a really unique weired spot right now and i wish we could have at least some kind of fix to allow us to play. The fragmented nature, weired battlelines makes things really complex.

Couldnt the new Chaos for 40k, maybe some of the new models can be used to AoS? Like the Demons from several factions?

Settra (An Undead Ruler of Undead not bound to Nagash) returning would be more "logical" (we talking fiction logic here) than Morathi becaming a Demigodess, yet here she is (and i quite enjoy both her sculpture and her lore). Settra could be a demigod by now somewhere in the realms, who knows? He isnt the sort of guy who quits...

You are understimating Settra a lot. He was a king for millenias, beat the living ****** out of Arkhan the Black, held his own against an Empowered Nagash for days. Once destroyed he got the attention of the 4 Gods of Chaos who wanted him to kill Nagash, so they gave him a weapon (forgot the name) and reforged his body. Settra had Nagash cornered , but since he does not serve and Chaos gods had the balls to use him, he decided not kill the vulnerable Nagash and instead killed off a Horde of Greater Demons. Than he gave bone boy a see you later and entered the chaos realm to pay the gods a visit. So yeah, Settra wasnt a small fry as you made him be.

I would be ok if: Sigmar got Settra back, hidden in a corner of the realms, along with his kin, and kept a secret to be used in case Nagash started being too much of a ******. They would "come back" like stormcasts do, but would act completly independent and be its own faction but against common foes (chaos and death). Settra wouldnt accept to come back as a simple pawn to Sigmar.

If they are just more Golden boys... meh. It should be its own thing, otherwise there isnt much of a point to bring Tks or even Settra back.

I find it unlikely because the arms are too thin and if you zoom into the right one, you can see the gap between the 2 bones of the arm, indicating a Skeleton.

Settra wouldnt bent the Knee, but the author said in his twitter that he would explore this theme. Maybe he has other sort of arrengement that would explain this image of a Tomb King like figure and Stormcasts

When Chaos tryed to do that, Settra killed a buttload of demons and entered the Chaos plane to kick some more. Settra would have given Sigmar the finger.

IMO, Aelves are gona receive a book like Skaven. One way to play a mix of elves (like Skaventide), one for Highborn, one for wanderers and one for former Dark elves. Later on Wanderers are gona get a DoK like release, Highborn gona be rolled into Tyrion´s army and the others into Malerion Forces. But i will stop now since i got no rumors and the mods are gona get mad 😁
