  1. They did similar with Guard and World Eaters in 40k at the end of 9th edition, at least it's a supplement that's free elsewhere and not a full Battletome! 😅 As others have pointed out it's very odd that Gunnar and chums isn't appearing here at the same time unless their announcement timings were entirely coincidental 🤔
  2. Very excited for the Darkoath box! A printed version of the Supplement is a bit silly but it'll work out cheaper to buy this than separately later down the line 😁
  3. I wouldn't be a huge fan of it if they were to take it this way but Beasts of Chaos? I suppose GHR and Beastmen's distain of Chaos does sort of align?
  4. What is best in life? I'm very much looking forward to getting my hands on the Darkoath box! 😊
  5. In 40k Mortal Wounds are still the same, albeit reduced in which units can do them. There is an auto wound ability called Lethal Hits which automatically wounds the opponent on a Critical Hit but they still get an armour save. I'm assuming Mortal Wounds are still the same in 4th edition AoS too
  6. They have for 3rd edition and they have very recently for 10th edition 40k so I think it's fair to assume! 😊
  7. If you want any of the kits disappearing, now is the time to do so as they won't be restocked
  8. Ooof, that's a horrible list. That sucks for everyone losing units (and armies) I might need to pick some Sacrosanct units and Beastmen up then 🤔
  9. I think their point was more that the spear rumour engine was thought to be Valkia's for quite a while, now we know it's Abraxia's that dampens that idea 😁 A redone Khul seems like a fair bet, as Blades of Khorne got most of their love in 1st edition along with Liberators, Prosectors etc it seems fair that they'll also get some love too? Personally the BoK stuff aged much much better than the first wave of SCE 😅
  10. I'm nearly done with the Fomoroid now, it's mainly the base and the hair left to do!
  11. I actually really like these and it doesn't really stop you from taking specific units without their character, although it does give you a clear disadvantage I suppose? It'll be interesting to see how many armies get in the indexes and what other bonuses they give (assuming they do)
  12. I think it comes down to personal perspective or how you see the hobby. Personally I'm not big on yuck-ing other people's yum, if they're pumped for something that's great! Even if something isn't for me or a product isn't marketted for me it's their hobby as much as it is mine and it's very rad to see so many people excited or passionate about the same thing as me 😊 More AoS minis is more good, even if they're for the armies I don't collect. Deepening the lore, widening the model horizons is great for such a young game with the benefit that the AoS model designers are nuts are producing so many unique and amazing models 😁
  13. Still very WIP but the Fomoroid is comign along nicely: I wanted to go for a worn, scarred kinda skin for the belly, knuckles and the shoulders. I think once I've painted everything else I can go back and figure out what I want to change about the skin
  14. Sorry I missed both of these! I'm going to try picking up the Skinnerkyn, they looks rad! Although I may have to pay eBay prices 😅 My pal was printing me a really cool looking Varghiest but hasn't gotten around to it yet, he's a very busy dude and I'm in no rush 😁 I did manage to finally get a hold of the FEC Endless spells but GW still haven't brought the throne back into stock yet I definitely need to get an army photo together though Thanks Yousuf! For the skin I do: Gryphhound orange mixed with Bugmans glow for the skin (over Zandri dust spray), then highlighted with Cadian Fleshtone except I do more of the skin than the tutorial suggests otherwise it's very luminous! 😅 Flesh Tearers red really thinned for the red areas for a couple of coats then some black dots on the areas you want the really burnt skin to be Speed wise, I think it's just practice. I batch paint models so after the first couple of models I know what I'm doing and have figured out what I want the paint to do and where to cut corners 🤣 The best way to cut corners for me is during the highlighting step as there's plenty of places change the angle of your brush to ensure you're highlighting several things at once. For example, their ribs or their hair are mostly lines that are perpendicular so all you need to do is hold your brush flat to those areas and drag them across. This means you're highlighting a good chunk of that area in one go. If that makes sense?
  15. I agree, (to me) the current AoS team have a track record of making good changes and have a good response time to stuff that's broken (although at times heavy handed). It's always hard to gauge what the changes actually entail with all the marketing speak they use in these articles and is sometimes hard not to jump to "I'm not going to enjoy this" I'm really looking forward to seeing what 4th brings! 😊
  16. No Battleshock is interesting, as is everything becoming abilites. Without the full context it's hard to figure out what that actually means but it's definitely piqued my interest!
  17. Goonhammer has done a tidy article laying out what we know so far, what was said during the livestream etc about 4th edition. Obvioulsy it's all in this thread too but it's probably a bit easier to read through for those that've missed all the discussion here https://www.goonhammer.com/age-of-sigmar-new-edition-4th-explained/
  18. Malal was only really in 1st edition WHFB as far as I can tell and Malice hasn't been brought up since 3rd edition 40k I think at this point Malal and Malice have spent more time not being canon than being canon 😄 They definitely made an impression on people though as they're still brought up today!
  19. I'd hoped for some sort of stand alone shaman but I think we would've seen whatever was coming already. We've got 3 monthsish of hyped 4th ed up with the box coming out soon? It's a real Shame(n) but it definitely leaves space for them to release one later on which could be the model we get when the 4th ed battletome drops. I'm hoping it means they'll keep at least one of the Underworlds or Gunnar's unit in regular stock so people have regular access to a wizard without having to scour eBay 😄 Hopefully they don't but I can definitely see it happening. They don't really work as another unit either! Maybe proxying Theddra as a Sorcerer?
  20. Vashttor and Hashut seem to fill pretty similar roles I think: Artifice, Industry, pushing the boundaries of science etc. On a personal level, I'd like more of a separation of 40k and AoS daemons as it gives both more identity 😄 Having said that, could Bel'akor step up? Archaon is the Big 4 (potentially soon 5) material vessel and have thrown Bel'akor aside in favour of him. He's powerful seemingly off his own back. Or would Bel'akor be a more interesting character not being a god and being his own thing?
  21. For sure! That would be far to much to update for Stormcast this edition, a sacrosanct character or two would be cool to see where they take the chamber going forward. I like to convert and kitbash anyways 😄
  22. Dragons aren't my jam but I absolutely love the battle-cats the Sacrosanct have and the big Gryph chargers too. They're really cool! A very grim Anvils of the Heldenhammer army is calling my name 😅 The only thing I spotted was: Is this new? It looks like an Ogroid with wings in the centre?
  23. I love the Sacrosanct aesthetic of warrior wizards with the cloaks etc but much much prefer the new proportions. Maybe it's just hopium but I reallly hope some of the Sacrosanct units get updated to the Thunderstrike armour too like this guy and character in Dominion. If they're not updated with the (assumably) wave of SCE with their Battletome, I think I should be able to convert the look I want. Vigilors with some kitbashed staffs could be great Evocators! 😄
