Okay, interesting. I think I see where they want to go with this. They probably looked at all of 3rd editions battle tactics and tried to find a balance in difficulty and complexity for the Universal Tactics. In addition, they're probaly trying to combat the disbalance in seasonal battle tactic feasability per faction by giving out Grand Alliance-specific tactics. I could see that working since the grand alliances do often have a playstyle overlap. It would also be a return to grand alliances mattering in a meaningful way. This could be interesting. Let's see how it works out.

I can probably assume that suggested table size will remain the same, right? I wanted to buy a battlemat, but opted to hold off until I was sure table size remained the same after I almost bought the old objective markers. Though if they were gonna change it, surely they would have said so in the last article.

I expected bodyguard or retinue to become a keyword that certain units had that incentivized foot heroes. I am not sure if honour guard being a seasonal rule means that that expectation is now more likely or entirely disproven. I suppose at least for the first year it is mostly true, so I'm happy.

I expect mortals only/daemons only for command traits and artefacts. The khorne update just now seems to indicate that is their direction for monogods as a whole.

Would Strength of Godhood and Warlord Supreme synergize with each other or would the triple command still count as one? I imagine it has to count as one or you can have -9 rend and +9 damage on every warlord melee attack by issuing a command every phase before combat.

I think if Umbraneth are planned anytime soon, the dok battletome will have them listed as allies or coalition. I saw that tease as the only reason to update their battletome so soon. While I'd love that, I'd also be happy with darkling covens as coalition option, perhaps in a har kuron subfaction. Based on the underworld band males are less discriminated against now maybe.

I haven't even got to play with this dok battletome yet and they announce the next one. Oh well, I wasn't sure if morathi-snakebows was gonna be fun or not in the first place.

Dang, I was almost finished painting my first aos army of exactly 2k points of dok, featuring 3 blood stalkers. 😢
