This is exactly what I wanted from their size. To look Archaon straight in the eye. There may be even variants of each of the Mega Gargants as well for more pages, but I agree I'd love for there to be even more yet shown. A King Brodd/Leader Warscroll will probably make an appearance. I'm also really hoping there will be a Terrain piece for the big lads. If there is only one new kit I'd still be overjoyed but it would help to pad out the range.

I hope you're right and these Mega Gargants are just the beginning of something already incredible.

The only real reason I believe there could be hope for a Leader kit is that King Brodd is the only named Gargant character we have in AOS. Not only that but hes tied directly into the Lore as their Leader. This doesnt mean they will release a kit for Brodd at release but it gives me hope that in a year or so they may.

OT of the Rumour Engine I've seen a few people on Facebook calling for a Destruction based Ocean army. Thoughts on this? Personally I'd rather the Idoneth players get an revisit with some new models, even if they're just for Warcry or Underworlds.

UK lockdown is still going for at least another 3 weeks so the factories wont be running for at least a month.

I'd love to see Old One Eye get a new exclusive Carnifex model. This is also true. If it is a monstrous Crab Claw in place of the Kraken Tentacle, I'll probably choose the Claw!!

This is actually the Gatebreakers weapon from a different angle. I'm starting to think we wont get a King Brodd kit at release but the Battletome will have the Warscroll. And then next year we will get a King Brodd/Leader kit just like the Imperial Knights did.

Maybe it's a Behemoth sized Lobster? Still not graceful I know but who knows?

I love all your conversion and alternate Gargant ideas!! On the topic of Mercenaries I was really against it at first but seeing the miniatures I just want to see more of them. I do hope that they dont have such an impact as Mercenaries that absolutely everybody starts running one, I just hope that when run as a pure Sons of Behemat army they do far greater than they do as Mercs. With added abilities and bonus, maybe all Mercs will have a variation of the drunken stagger whilst a Sons army may not have that at all.

I would be so happy for all the Death and Vampire lovers!! I'd love to see an all Vampire Faction added.

I was definitely thinking of picking one up at some point but after feasting my eyes upon the Mega Gargants, their design quality doesnt compare and I dont think I'll grab one in the end. I've still got my fingers crossed for a King Brodd/Leader kit for next year with a 3rd option for a Bonegrinder or whichever name they decide to go for. Village Smasher? Town Crusher? Titan? 2 kits 6 build options seems perfect.

I think if it happens or not people shouldn't become too disheartened, they did drip feed a few of the last ones because I think they really were waiting to see if they would reopen on the 14th according to the UK guidelines, since they were pushed and rightly so I think they just didnt have any other articles written up.

I also have wondered this since the beginning!! Do Gargants stitch their own loincloths/pants? Seeing as their Mercenaries I could see them having paid for someone to make them for them. If they made them themselves then it shows craftsmanship and perhaps their not as dim witted as the Aleguzzler. This is why I love the state of AOS at the moment. We're right on the cusp of everything that's new and we are apart of every new event in the making. In 10-15 years the state of the Mortal Realms will be so incredibly different and as lore filled as the Old World and we can all say we were there at the beginning!!

There is a chance they could be from a King Brodd/Leader kit. I think they will either announce this kit just before release or will otherwise have the Warscrolls for King Brodd/Leader in the Battletome and you just designate a model and next year they will release the kit to update the range. The cage with Villagers is a nice touch, I always liked the idea of a Mammoth being the Scenery piece. It moves and provides healing/ammo for the Gargants as well as being able to attack the enemy. It would be a High Wounds low saves model.

I just need to ingest the Battletome of the Sons for all the juicy lore. The bestiary of the Old World Army Books was my favourite part, even though each Monster usually only had a paragraph and this is a whole time dedicated to monsters!! I want to know what Gargant society is like, how they live, are there Daughters of Behemat? Do they breed? Are there a finite number of them? Do they constantly grow with age like Crocs and Sharks? Do they have Villages or do they roam like Beastclaws? Do they barter in the cities as Mercenaries or are they sort after? If they live in the cities are there Gargant only sections? How do the Mega Gargants view the Aleguzzler? Is the Bonegrinder a part of them or is he the weird Uncle?

I think theyll keep the kit and revisit at a later date to perhaps update the range in the next few years as that would be the easiest way to go about doing it. I also wouldnt be suprised though if in a year or so they release a King Brodd/Leader/Bonegrinder plastic kit. It could easily be done if they implement Warscrolls for a Leader model in the Battletome that you simply designate a model for. That way they can introduce a Character model for the Sons who could also be built as a Bonegrinder or standard Leader which would be bring the kits up to 2 with a possible 6 build options. This looks pretty spot on actually.
