Good bat rep thier buddy, yeah I think these lads shine at 2k it seems....I bet your mate was fuming when you where stuffing blood warriors in your mancrushers bags 😄 I did a 1k battle against my son who plays stormcast and managed to stuff 2 retributors away rolling 6s.....such a cool ability

You know how teclis came back as a god, with his lumineth?.....well after reading that extract from "the clobbering", would it be worth considering that an old world orc character may be returning (Grimgor or Azhag for example) to either aid Gordrakk in his quest to break the gates of azyr, or to overthrow him as leader of the ironjawz?....food for thought 🤔

Alright ladz! Been a while but I finally managed to play my first game in over 4 months ( tight lockdown in our neak of the woods), so it was against fyreslayers with gotrek (starstrike battleplan) He had gotrek, a runefather on magmadroth, a few buffers with a 10 man hearthguard, a rune son and his battleline vulkites x 2 I had gordrakk, 3 pigs, 5 brutes, 15 ardboyz, a megaboss on foot, warchanter and a shaman. Took the gutstuffers mercenaries as ironjawz points are still at 1750. Also took ironfist battalion. He went first and wanted to deep strike gordrakk with his hearthguard but I kept my army back so he couldn't get 9" behind me (knew his plan😉) so he put them into my brutes from the side then he moved everything forward and towards the middle of the battlefield to claim 1st objective. My turn was basically buff everything in my army with big waaagh and voice of gork, put violent fury on ardboyz and sent them into the middle to meet the enemy head on (hand of gork didnt go off and I wanted to attack from behind ideally).....the result after all the scrapping was 6 dead vulkites and 4 hearthguard, a magmadroth on 4 wounds, gotrek on 6 wounds and for me 4 brutes and 10 ardboyz dead and my gore gruntas where waiting and hoping the objectives landed on my right hand side of the battlefield on turn 2. Turn 2 came and the objectives landed left side surrounded by 6 hearthguard and all his buffers (gutted), his magmadroth sniped my warchanter and he had an endless spell that shot lava over my remaining brute killing that unit and freeing them to charge my ogor mercenaries. Gotrek killed all remaining ardboyz and another unit of vulkites took on my gore gruntas and stayed with them for the rest of the battle. My turn saw me fail hand of gork again (wanted gordrakk to deep strike the rune son guarding his objective) and basically just jump straight to combat phase.....megaboss killed magmadroth but got 4 MW spilled on him, ogors got battered by hearthguard who fought twice, vulkites and gore gruntas spat at each other and it was looking like everything rested on who got to go first in turn 3......fyreslayers got it again and it went downhill for me then. Gotrek charged gordrakk (who had been bottleneked all game with his huge base and killed him outright in his first round of combat ☹, ogors actually did well this round and took out 4 hearthguard but then got reduced to 1 maneater, pigs and vulkites traded blows and we where both left with 1 model each and then megaboss on foot did a measly 1 damage to gotrek.....who returned the favour by killing him at the end of the combat phase. No way for me to recover.....fyreslayers took the victory. So it looks like I need advice on how to use gordrakk better and maybe change my warclan to bloodtoofs so I get the hand of gork guarantee, maybe change the shaman spell to a more damage based one? The gutstuffers will go I understand that it's better to have more ironjawz to benefit from allegiance abilities etc. There was a bit of use from the mighty destroyers ability but I never quite killed a unit to make use of smashing and bashing.....and I think I should of spread out more and avoided gotrek....lesson learned for the next battle we have after new lockdown.....see you in another 4 months 😄

I wonder why this is the case?....maybe GW have just thrown them in quickly while they work on updating the rest of the app......you still cant put Morgoks krushas in an Ironjawz list and they have been out for months

Has anybody heard anything about when GW will update the azyr app with the Sons of behemat?.....I know the warscroll builder has them on but I always use the azyr app when list building and battling.

I always tend to go for layers dude, but with with some areas being so big I can see a drybrush technique being more appropriate......what about a drybrush of flayed one flesh followed by some fine edge highlights of paled witch flesh or something on the most pronounced areas (wrinkles, creases around pecs, veins on hands etc)

Just for a bit of fun i did a 1 on 1 against Gotrek with all 3 Megas (seperatly of course, and i let Gotrek fight first every time) the results....... Kraken Eater....Draw (He fell on Gotrek and killed him at the end of the fight) Warstompa.....Gotrek won with 2 wounds remaining (obviously his club was useless against a single non monster model) Gate Breaker.....Absolutly battered Gotrek with 20 wounds remaining ( that flail attack is so powerful, imagine it buffed up with Gordrakks voice of Gork giving him +1 to hit) I know its the roll of the dice but i do feel like these guys are well worth thier points value....i didnt even have any mercenary or General abilities on them.

And they have finally arrived.....been reading my battletome and the lore is awesome isnt it. I cant decide which mega to build (although I will have all three done in the end so doesn't really matter) but I'll probably build a warstompa and mawtribes him up a bit......pictures inbound but be patient.....I work slow 😄

Happy Sons of Behemat Day your highness!.....I'm still waiting on my stuff and it looks like I ain't getting it today. (I wanted it built for sunday as I have a battle against fyreslayers tomorrow with my ironjawz and wanted to ally him in my list to squash them.....just have to do it the old fashioned way WAAAGH!)

I agree mate, that's gonna be so hard for anything that's -1 rend or worse to take down......I can honestly see SoB being a very powerful army and that's just with the information given to us so far

All I can say is WOW! These warscrolls are even better than I predicted.....35 wounds! The damage on the clubs is awesome I think....yeah its only damage 2 but its obviously focused on a more unique and fun way to play (and giants have always been about having a laugh). I'd rather have loads of interesting rules to go through then come to the conclusion you've done 15 wounds to a stonehorn than have 3 attacks at damage 5 go through

Hmmmmm.....ok, it's fairly expensive as far a GW products go but the way I see it....the mega gargant kit is a work of art, a masterpiece from a design and sculpture point of view. Its everything you would want from a model that represents a fictional giant and will definitely stand the test of time like its predecessor has (mancrusher kit) so for me I'm ok with that price.......might only be getting one every few months to get my 2k list mind you 😄
