  1. Yeah, especially the Dawnriders in this picture 😍
  2. Yeah the photo looks great. And the hammers too, a bit closer to an actual warhammer. Edit: found it on Reddit Age of Sigmar
  3. Oh awesome. That looks like the hammer from one of the art they showed us on Monday.
  4. Yup, that's what I meant, maybe wasn't clear, but I was joking with the combination fo World Dragon and Hoeth. Looks like with the Lightning Reaction they tried to do that in terms of ASF, although of course we do not really know until we can actual play. So I hope if the Lumineth can do some anti-magic shenanigans it's not something which makes it unfun for everyone else (although there is always a trade-off, and a grey area). Always best if both sides can enjoy the game.
  5. Good call. If they draw inspiration from the High Elves in this respect - that'd be definitely in the cards. Shutting down the magic phase was a big part of High Magic for a long time. I can already see how popular the Lumineth would be among opponents if they get something like a combination of the Banner of the World Dragon and the Book of Hoeth as a spell. Oh boy... .
  6. I think we'll get both a terrain piece and endless spells. If you look at the starter box, it looks like they are confident that they can sell Lumineth-themed things. In terms of terrain, I guess we'll some kind of pillar or tower-like building because this has featured so much in their descriptions. Otherwise something like a Enlightenment Machine could be cool. After all the talk about how powerful their magic is, I hope we get endless spells for them. In one of the older army books, High Magic included a spell which let you move a terrain piece on top of the enemy (it was restricted to hills if I remember correctly), that would be fitting : ). On a more serious note, as they can manipulate gravity, you could have some interesting things with those (either lift up units, or ground flyers etc.). As they have all the elements, plus light and aetherquartz-based optics. so many options what they could do.
  7. That goes both ways though. Some people are denigrating models and concepts just because they don’t fit with their personal tastes. And it often smacks of trying to lessen the fun of people who do like those. Especially if it’s done in the forum which is meant for the fans of that faction. I think what Thiagoma did in the “let’s fix the helmets” threat is great. Really constructive, and they also came up with some good looking alternatives. But still people somehow feel the need to over and over tell everyone here in this threat how ******, stupid and ridiculous most of the models are. And then wonder when sometimes people get mad about that. Why?
  8. I'm genuinely baffled by this notion. I think they look awesome and the background lore explains the look really well. Nothing jokey about them. Not trying to convince you or anything like that, and I can see why people might not like the look. I'm just surprised how this looks like a joke to someone.
  9. First of all, I love the art. They should have featured things like that instead of silly game show vids. But, I have to say Tzeentch found his master in whoever planned this reveal campaign. 😈 This time we finally get the picture of the hero they first showed us a month ago, in blurred view two weeks ago, and here they finally show us everything and even give us the full name - and we still know almost nothing (although @elfhead had a really good idea there, that could very well be it, and would be awesome). Still, we have no idea if we see any other elements, or a flying unit. Could very well be from some of the wording in the previews and this article, but not even the slightest real hint. All the art is focused mostly on mountains (although one could argue wind and zenith is also featured in a lot of those they are just not as obvious). I think the helmet is likely an alternative for the cavalry leader. They have a Phoenix standard after all. Seems not elaborate enough for a hero.
  10. You've heard about the AOS RPG (Soulbound) that C7 is going tp release soon (May I think)? The Hag Priestress and Witch Aelf (and likely one more unannounced class) are going to be playable characters. They likely will have some information about their society in there. Might be an alternative in case there won't be any novels soon. But yeah, I also hope they'll publish a novel about the Lumineth along/after they get released.
  11. How about some cow inspired units? They were an uncontroversial crowd-pleaser over on the Lumineth side, so they might work their magic for you guys too! 🤪 On a more serious note, there might be at least some new DoK fluff in Lumineth BT. The last thing we heard is that Morathi and Teclis were both worried about Slaanesh getting freed whereas Tyrion and Malerion were dismissive about the possibility (Hedonites BT). And then the whole Archaon thing happened. Maybe there is a small bone in there for DoK fans (Morathi gathering new troops or something like that).
  12. The art is great, but I guess we only will see pictures we have already seen at least partly, like some of the Lowdown pictures they have used. For example the one where we first got a glimpse of the hammer unit. The one I really would like to see in full is the one they used in the first reveal video, because I'm trying to judge since months if this shadow in the background is a flying monster, or just a tree. I just remembered it again because of the flying creature we saw in the ruler (picture attached below), but still can't decide on it. The others next to it are even more iffy. Until the last two reveals I was almost 100% sure we see Tyrion with this release. Now, I kind of doubt it. I'm as big as a Teclis fanboy as you can get, but even I'm aware there are one or two Tyrion fans out there. And if you look at the starter box, it has Teclis exclusively plastered all over it. I doubt GW doesn't know that Tyrion is at least as popular as Teclis among former HE fans. So it would be weird if they don't use him for marketing at all. They would have to pivot a lot in the next few weeks, and maybe even have another differently styled starter box (same miniature content, but maybe a red-styled box for Tyrion, in addition to Teclis blue box) on-hand. Of course they could have a vid on hand where Tyrion sweeps in on a fiery dragon creature and takes over for the rest of reveals, but it seems too late for that. I do think though we get at least one more big piece like a war machine, a big flying monster, a cavalry hero something similar.
  13. I’d rather they tell us something about the veiled lady. If she has another elemental affiliation I think most of us would feel really 🥳 But the Sentinels seem more likely, or something similar to that.
  14. Yeah, great to see that some people seem to get interested again. I really hope we see one more element, especially something with flying units/monsters which so many are waiting for. The Sun Spirit/Phoenix/Dragon would be awesome. Like Chikout I thought they still have something big on hand which they will show us at the final stage. But this has been dragging on for so long now, who knows. I think many of us who have been following this closely from the start are oscillating between excitement and disappointment (for various reasons). It also doesn’t help that many of us are in various stages of lockdowns, and although there are much more serious things to worry about toy soldiers, it can contribute to the mental exhaustion. Now, it’s waiting for next Monday again. And if we don’t get anything new then, maybe on the 18th. It feels like your are a donkey following a carrot. Most of us understand why they have to slow down the pace of reveals, but still. I think it would be helpful if they would let us know somewhat what we can still expect to come. A few more models? Another element on the scope of the mountain range? All four elemental factions?
  15. Yeah, that’s the best interpretation. Better than what I came up with. There could be a back side or another sheet for all means. Who knows. So we are back to, let’s see what Monday and the 18th brings, lol. I really love the art and fluff so far though.
  16. Yes, Eltharion could be outside/encompassing all the path. As they have said he resembles both Teclis and Tyrion aspects. He just could be a general hero which fits well in any of your armies, which also would fit with him being in the starter box. As for Tyrion, my guess would be that he also mastered all 4 elements like Teclis or is totally outside of of all of this. I find the former a bit more likely than the later, as they always have presented them in this Ying/Yang style (Sun/Moon), and the cultural (elemental orders) and military aspects are clearly intertwined. @Khaedhras Vince and Tom did a good analysis on this on the Weekly Warhammer: First card is obviously a spell, the second a command trait and the other two likely artifacts (one Zaitrec and one Iliath...)
  17. The 4 colored helmets on the right seem to symbolize the 4 elements, could also be the Nations though. The horned ones on the left look like they are symbolizing the named spirits. The upper right one Celennar, and the lower right one Avalenor. Upper left could be the Sun Spirit. It’s great to see that we finally get some insight into the rules too. I really like how they brought back Always Strikes First into the AoS setting (Lightning Reactions). Next to all the visuals how the play will also have a big influence on nostalgia.
  18. They look more like statues or? Of course could be statues of living spirits. Something flying should still be coming. Eltharion has a big symbol of a rising Phoenix on his chest. So he could be Zenith. His Phoenix Helmet would fit too of course. About “Overwhelming Heat”. The description says that “the caster causes the air to grow thicker and thicker with oppressive heat.” That would fit pretty well also with our Veiled Lady with her smoking brazier. That halo like thing around her also would be apt for Zenith. Finally, I think on top of the ruler we see the personal symbol of the Sun Spirit. The symbol looks exactly like Celennar’s except that it’s not crowned by a half moon, but by a sun (if that not just looking like that because of the quality of the picture and the light). So maybe it’s still a bit premature to give up all hope.
  19. Hmm, looking at the markers, there might still be something coming ... . (Edit: a bit too late : ) )
  20. Perfect box for me. I wanted to buy the dice and special edition anyway. They might also have done something interesting with the Lightning Reactions. Good take on ASF without being too obnoxious in AoS for your opponent (hopefully). Obvious drawback is of course, it looks like that we have seen the majority of the things we get, and the mountain factions is the center piece at least for the first release.
  21. Excitedly marching towards the next reveal! (just sharing this art piece from @Lalowthetyrant (Twitter), which i really like)
  22. And they have been so successful in comparison too. Got themselves all chained-up, then one of them lost his wife and has been doing contract work for Sigmar and the other blew himself up. Whereas the Aelf gods only rule over three of the eight realms.
