  1. Hey all, I'm definitely in the semi-competitive/friendly camp. Still pretty new and building my army up from 1k points to get some bigger games soon. I'm also trying to keep the Beasts of Chaos allegiance instead of shifting to the battalions and other books. I've been thinking of building towards this for my 2k list, it has Be'Lakor as an ally to try and pump up the power level a bit. I also really like the idea of the Chaos Gargant being able to snipe out the Ossiarch Bonereaper squad leaders at pile in stage to deny them their reroll saves. Anyway, here's the list. Let me know if there's anything you would change! ++ **Pitched Battle** 2,000 (Chaos - Beasts of Chaos) [1,990pts] ++ + Allegiance + . Beasts of Chaos: Gavespawn + Uncategorised + Herdstone + Leader + Be'lakor [240pts] + Behemoth + Chaos Gargant [170pts] + Battalion + Desolating Beastherd [1,500pts]: . Beastlord: General, Mutating Gnarlblade, Unravelling Aura . Bestigors: 30 Bestigors, Banner bearers, Brayhorns . Bestigors: 10 Bestigors, Banner bearers, Brayhorns . Bestigors: 10 Bestigors, Banner bearers, Brayhorns . Gors: 10 Gors, Banner bearers, Brayhorns, Gor Blade and Beastshield . Gors: 10 Gors, Banner bearers, Brayhorns, Gor Blade and Beastshield . Great Bray-shaman: Vicious Stranglethorns, The Knowing Eye . Great Bray-shaman: Wild Rampage . Ungor Raiders: 30 Ungor Raiders, Banner bearers, Brayhorns . Ungor Raiders: 10 Ungor Raiders, Banner bearers, Brayhorns . Ungors: 10 Ungors, Banner bearers, Brayhorns, Gnarled Shortspears + Malign Sorcery + Endless Spell: Wildfire Taurus [80pts] ++ Total: [1,990pts] ++
  2. So had my 2 learning games yesterday at 1000 points and can confirm with the rest of the internet that Raiders are amazing haha. Gors were definitely underwhelming, Bulls were completely random in their effectiveness, but the Gnarlblade Beastlord was also awesome. The other thing was 10 man Bestigor squads being pretty underwhelming to be honest. I was facing Ogors so most of the time they were hitting on 4s vs smaller units, but they are definitely glass cannons, if they were miss-positioned they were immediately punished and wiped out very easily. Thinking about all of that, I think moving into 2k points I'll aim for something like this: ++ **Pitched Battle** 2,000 (Chaos - Beasts of Chaos) [1,990pts] ++ + Uncategorised + Herdstone + Battalion + Depraved Drove [1,380pts]: Depraved Drove . Beastlord: General, Mutating Gnarlblade, Unravelling Aura . Bestigors: 20 Bestigors, Banner bearers, Brayhorns . Bestigors: 20 Bestigors, Banner bearers, Brayhorns . Great Bray-shaman: 2. Vicious Stranglethorns, 3. The Knowing Eye . Great Bray-shaman: 4. Tendrils of Atrophy . Ungor Raiders: 30 Ungor Raiders, Banner bearers, Brayhorns . Ungor Raiders: 20 Ungor Raiders, Banner bearers, Brayhorns . Ungors: 10 Ungors, Banner bearers, Brayhorns, Ungor Blade + Other + Tzaangor Enlightened on Discs of Tzeentch [320pts]: 6 Tzaangor Enlightened on Discs of Tzeentch + Malign Sorcery + Endless Spell: Wildfire Taurus [80pts] + Leader + Allied Slaves to Darkness Daemon Prince [210pts]: Hellforged Sword, Khorne + Allegiance + . Beasts of Chaos: Gavespawn + Game Options + Game Type: 2000 Points - Battlehost ++ Total: [1,990pts] ++ The Depraved Drove can help with rerolling charges within 12 of an enemy relic, and the allied Daemon Prince can really help dictate charges with his 18 inch half run and charge command bubble letting me get the charges I want and stopping counter charges if I miss. What do you guys think?
  3. Points are up, makes bulls a little more playable but they went pretty light on our buffs...thoughts?
  4. Hello fellow Beastlords, this is my first post on the forum as I contemplate dipping my toes/hooves into AoS. I've played a ton of Warhammer 40k across editions so I have a decent amount of experience with table top games. I'm hoping to get some feedback on the below list, I haven't bought any models yet so it's definitely just something to work towards. I love the Bullgor models so they're hopefully decent enough to keep in. I love the idea of combo-ing the 60 outflanking Raiders with Gavespawn to get a ton of bow hits on something to crumble a weak flank. I also don't know how well leadership modifiers work in AoS, the Flock seems fun and I had the extra 30pts, thoughts on that as a spell? especially going first and pushing them forward to further combo with the Raiders? ++ **Pitched Battle** 2,000 (Chaos - Beasts of Chaos) [2,000pts] +++ Uncategorised +Herdstone+ Leader +Doombull [120pts]: 5. Champion’s Doomcloak + Battalion +Battalion: Desolating Beastherd [1,850pts]: Desolating Beastherd. Beastlord: General, Mutating Gnarlblade, Unravelling Aura.
