I don’t want to flog this dead horse any longer (pun sooooo intended) - But if Age of Sigmar get a new Settra when Old World didn’t I’l….well I’ll probably vent politely because its really all I can do….and then probably buy it.

The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin?

Daemonsmith and some Type of Captain Chaos Dwarf Infantry (Shooting and CC, Like Ironbreakers) Hobgrot Riders (Maybe not Wolves but Hob Hounds?) Lammasu/Taurus Kit with Sorcerer/Captain/Named Character Named Foot Sorcerer/Hobgrot Hero/Enslaver Captain K’daai Unit Artillery Kit with Multiple Build Options Inaddition to these I’d add the exaisting Hobgrots and Horns of Hashut

This Terrifies me, decades of waiting for Chaos Dwarfs them not to actually do Chaos Dwarfs. So far we have the Horns of Hashut and Hobgrots - both fine, Chaos Dwarfs have had Greenskins and enslaved races. But if they put energy into Chaos Dwarfs and leave out artillery and winged Bull-like monsters I think they’ll be missing a trick. If they want to add Strange auxiliary units thats fine, but the Majority of Characters and Units should be the Evil Dwarf variety. A Multipart part Taurus and Lamassu Kit would be so freaking cool. I don’t care if they’re called differently but It’s a very iconic unit of the Chaos Dwarfs not to get some form of exquisite update.

Shar’Tor > Kragnos I luckily already own one of these but seeing as they’re willing to bring back very old miniatures surely some of the Chaos Dwarf FW range can come back. Shar’tor is one of the biggest heartbreaks for me, because he was the first Age of Sigmar Forgeworld Character Model, and the Last, he was what to me going to be a signal of an age of beautiful new Resin Miniature of some out of left field characters which were, not quite part of the main army and were a special kit if you wanted a little extra something. I hope he comes back, and I hope they Consider doing some more kits like this for the Other factions (and Old World but I’ll hush 😅).

I’m a little late to the party as I’ve been excited about Old World and lost watching many videos from the small city population that are now Warhammer influencers. Whats this about Chorfs? Whats this cruel Joke about ? Look, and please don’t anyone from the Skyports and Deep seas take this the wrong way. BUT Am I getting Chaos Dwarfs like we got Seraphon (Same guys different setting) Or am I getting Chaos Dwarfs but they Now ride Small Boar Turtles and Hashut is now an Old Dwarf. I need Plate Armour and Curled or Dreaded Beards (I like Full face helmets as much as Big Hats). I’ve been patient Long Enough JAMES!

I got myself what I’ve been waiting for now for sometime, The Rulebook and the two books for Hordes and Forces. I cannot wait to read some lore and glance at some cool art! Now I sit and wait patiently for some cool new additions for the Dwarfs and Greenskins.

My goodness, this single paragraph made me make a little squeak - What on Earth could it possibly be? THE Lady of the Lake? Honestly clueless, Updated Green Knight?

This bit always confuses me with Nehekara, Elves, and Dwarfs, and pretty much every race Created by the Old Ones. - Why do they have their own Gods, when they were made, by what we can only assume, are God Like beings. Did the Old Ones NOT want to be Worshipped. I know its a bit of a lateral step from the discussion, but just as we’re on the point of Nehekaran Gods. Not even One Elf out there, saying - I worship Tepok.

My 2 cents - I really do like a lot of what they’re doing with Old World. And Some choices are not quite my taste. I won’t get into the rereleasing outdated model aspect again. I can see the rationale for omitting Some of the armies in this time period. The Vampire Counts one is a poor argument. Blood Dragons and Necrarchs could be be expanded and feature as the Vampires of Old World as the other Blood Lines already have a pretty good thing going for them in AoS (You go Ushoran 👍🎉). I’m glad the Division of Good and Bad is being Spoken about, but, That could very well just be a mechanism for allies as opposed to “Good and Bad”. The Forces of Fantasy really just are, the Armies that aren’t out to pillage in the Name of Wanton Destruction. The fact that its back alone over rides pretty much any con that I come across, I do have tell myself it is in its Nascent, who knows what amazing things are in development or in the future. I’ve mentioned before, but just to pick up and Old World Lore book, and read the army entries was the majority of my hobby. So very excited to be able to do this again. I’m very excited for Dwarfs coming back! I hope High King Alriksson receives a stunning Forge World Resin Miniature.

I don’t know how I’d handle finally seeing Tyrion and Malerion in their God Form. Both are such important Figures in Warhammer Lore. So curious to see what kind of Mount Tyrion will be given, and Even more curious to see What they do with Malerion - an Enigma nearly 10 years old now. Given the quality Teclis, Ushoran and Alarielle, I’m sure these will be phenomenal. Apart from Tyrion, Malerion, Kurnoth and Morghur are there any other big names in lore still waiting for their debut? I suppose I could add Grombrindal in there as some form of Avatar/Unifier of the Duardin as I doubt will ever see the Ancestral Gods of the Duardin in miniature form.

Ok, In all fairness Heresy is also getting - A Mini game version, upgrade kits, and Updated versions of Primarchs which are yet to be 10 Years Old. I don’t think wanting a Settra to the Quality of say, Horus Ascended is me all that Surprised, or brash because I’ve skipped a couple articles….. The Plastic Skellies are a bit of a let down but really happy to see a lot of the Tk range return (The Knights and Guard haven’t aged a day) But The Biggest Character Namesake of the Army, could very well have had a collectors version model - Something really special. And as an alternative to that if they didn’t go down the fancy resin model route, then a plastic update of which could also making a TK/Prince chariot. It’s not that seeing Settra return specifically has irked me, it’s that not seeing his update, to me, kind of sets a precedent about what we’re going to see and not see for the other armies. I Know it’s a bit of a Knee ****** reaction. But if the Big Release army is not getting an update for it’s best known Character then what hope do the other armies have? That, to me Is surprising and not something I’ve read in any article. Happy to be directed to the text that states so though.

I’m open about being whiny, And hand on heart the majority of this release has me a little hyped. But ain’t no way they’re just rereleasing Settra. The Sphinx, yes, the Ushabti even, decent models, ahed of their time. But Settra, I was hoping, would get a Nagash Level miniature. Maybe I need to temper What I think the Old World is and compare it more to Horus Heresy.

Ok, I’m a little more excited than I thought, not least to read the Books and tidbits of lore.

That sounds about right 😂, thank you bringing me back to reality. I’ll put Primarch Quality Sauron in the same folder of sadness I keep Sigmar, Grombrindal not in fancy dress, and the remaining Aelf Pantheon. Honestly any idea out there what might be shown tomorrow?

“Ring out the year” If its not for SBG, that is a cruel choice of words. I know You guys wants more AoS, and So do I. But There are collectibles in museums newer than most of the Middle Earth line. I yearn for a Plastic Sauron, every, single, day 😅

Fuff, tough one. The Seraphon range has been a very special release, at least to me. In which Case, it’s gt to be the Warspawned. Just look at them.

Not unless those votes are pay per click (I hope I haven’t given them any ideas there). They don’t make decisions based on polls, they do so based on revenue. I guess to an extent some of the armies are not just based on revenue……… Tau 👤

Please gather around the Wishlist table with your Foil Hats and Bowls of Salt. I’ve got a bit of a wild Theory based on nothing but hope. We’re currently at issue 495 of the White Dwarf. Issue 400, to my Knowledge in 2013 was a bit of a flop with near no celebration (but that was a Dark Time for Fantasy). But 300 and I think to an extent 200 did a fair bit of celebration of the Magazine and its namesake with a new miniature. Would they be willing to let the 500th Issue (Thats a heck of a milestone), to go unrecognised. We got a Collective Series of Grombrindal Stories set in AoS, so he’s not dead yet. I theorise a New Book and possibly a New model. But, again, this is just me at the Wishlist Table, Cooking Salt a la Foil.

I decided to return to this project (Blimey its been 3 years!) I’ve just not been crazy on how he turned out, not least because he was massive and because the details I originally bought the bits for disappeared, so back to the chopping blocks we go.

The New Tomb Kings look spectacular, I hope they go all pit when they bring Settra back, full flying chariot wreathed in bugs, sand and trails of magic as it flies over head. He needs to be on par with Kroak as Centre piece for the TK. The New Emmissary is gorgeous, and so are the Swarms, which brings me to a sour point- We (At least I) Love Swarms, we need more Swarms returning, Seraphon deserve their Jungle Swarms of Lizards and Snakes! How cool are the Swarms in Cursed city! More Swarms please GW.
