  1. Stormcast only have one army and there's not been any indication of being "Chaptered" like Marines, no need to snipe. i don't see why Skaven and ulgu aelves can't both show up, especially when GW is building a new factory. i could see Pestilens becoming Nurgle but outside that, i expect Skaven to have multiple kits from different clans like WHF had. I'd love to see some lesser used/known clans from the Council show up in AOS. really hoping we get at least one, one-off campaign book that allows this! it'd be super cool to have some kind of listbuilding that gives unique synergies based on your mashup.
  2. thanks to @Ejecutor revamping the rumor engine site, I got to looking at unsolved ones again. now, with the Loremaster's episode on USHORAN out I think this RE is ghouls. It looks like a literal interpretation of their "ghoul blood being distributed to make cults" narrative. and I think this second one is the same hand, so maybe Underworlds warband for this?
  3. If someone is going to make it their job to report on a game/company, I think the least they could do is... know the names of models in said game. Like why would you not want to be aware of all the factions in 40k if that's your job? How are you disinterested in one of the main antagonists of the setting? It just speaks to a level of laziness that I cannot grasp. It's one thing to be a hobbyist and not know the names of everything (especially Marines or Stormcast), but if you are taking money from other fans to bring them news on the game?? You should be putting in the effort to know all the factions.
  4. not sure about megadeth's songs but wowee, James got a 69.4% gross margin this year..... this means GW is selling their kits at around a 69% profit. so much for those increases in logistics' costs eh? there's an allusion to wider changes, but that got them an *extra* 5% this year. "Gross profit margin (sometimes referred to as “gross margin” or “gross margin ratio”) is one of the primary metrics used to evaluate a business’ health and competitiveness within its industry. Measured as a percentage, gross profit margin will tell you how much revenue your products and services generate per dollar after subtracting your cost of goods sold."
  5. i prefer putting the whole site page in to be able to browse, but i'll keep LLM in mind if it's easier to paste chunks of text rather than translate the whole site also cats being wards against the supernatural, or other familiar type duties, makes me think its part of an Order band due to the dogs and gargoylians in other kits. the boot is gold iirc, which kind of pointed to Stormcast but could easily be a COS noble
  6. how good is the machine translation if one were to put Sigmaroteca into babelfish or google translate? agreed, i'm not sure why they'd change it drastically when BOC could have slightly different variations based on realm. it's a solid aesthetic.
  7. i'm surprised Rob knows that part of USA history, maybe he's older than I thought 😅 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Throat_(Watergate)
  8. anyone else notice this huge news yesterday?? GW only put it on their weird preview tiles but the recycling is coming to most of the UK
  9. time to pray to the Pantheon of Order that this will be the way
  10. no idea what you're counting, that's a vanquisher unit that has to stay 10 or else you don't get the banner+musician buff... this box has ONE battleline unless you take the subfaction that allows paladins to do it too
  11. I really hope these are intended as an After-Vanguard so Vanguard boxes can be AOS equivalent of combat patrol!!! this box contents isn't great for a pickup skirmish
  12. exactly they seem like they could be really good narrative foils for "the development of industry" where COS aren't exactly spotless but they do try purifying the lands around cities while chorfs run a slaver empire hellbent on corrupting the lands.
  13. Yeah I really don't think we can or should ascribe lore changes to "lying" if the designers specifically picked a period that was never truly fleshed out. All of this is already made up, the designers are allowed to retool certain story points to solidify the timeline here.
  14. so, Chaos Dwarves as an inversion of Cities of Sigmar :D?
  15. really? the foot knights fit in fine with the old models to my eyes. the only issue for Snarlfang in AOS is that there's no other goblins aside from the old Gitz kits to compare to. For TOW O&G I don't think there will be anything new except for characters and maybe non-metal trolls
  16. any timestamps? i know Rob uploads his VODs only way i could see BOC being removed is if S2D and monogods all got more-specific beastmen? i thought boarding actions were Kill Team but wasn't sure, thanks for the clarification. wherever the rules showed up, it would be great to have them
  17. Bretonnia being more 'Good' defined wouldn't be a problem if, like others have mentioned, they were not positioned against undead-Egyptians and randomly invading Nehekara (on top of the serfdom issue). Even the new novel has such a wild premise--why would TK even abduct a noble's kid? What was the kid doing there?? etc. TK have a bit more going for them being 'Evil' but it still feels like a forced distinction. Like TK don't need to be made 'Evil' in order to make Bretonnia more 'Good.' I wholeheartedly agree on disliking GW's insistence on making factions worse rather than making them feel...... like a living faction. It's why I'm nervous about 4e, Stormcast, and COS. This could honestly be it's own thread bc "morally grey" in Warhammer tends to lose the plot for the sake of ~grimdark~ and often feels more like a teenager's idea of mature.
  18. it's not, you're 100% right: there is a literal base-size PDF sheet for AOS... just do it for TOW ffs.
  19. I'm still waiting for them to take Warcry inside the actual temple ship regardless if that brought new Seraphon or not. it would be cool to have "urban" combat rules
  20. I'm just not sure how this is meaningfully different? the designers did specify "once we had the IDEA of what the Empire was and what Archaon was" which sounds like at some point GW wanted to keep Chaos winning in the back pocket. but like so much of the WHF writing implies Chaos is so overpowered their victory is inevitable. having that vibe over multiple campaigns and editions is going to make people think this was always the plan
  21. my friend was actually ranting about this and while the article didn't position TK against Bretonnia, I immediately saw what he meant. It IS ridiculous to make the non-human factions seem more evil than..... the feudal system on steroids and a literal "Empire of Man."
  22. my 2 cents on the Good vs Evil split is: GW made the split to more easily sell compendium rulebooks and we should be glad there is only Two faction compendiums to buy we can argue all year about factions and the intended morality of Warhammer but. it still boils down to corporate reasoning, so don't let yourself get too worked up over the changes.
  23. well that's the time period they chose to restart the "historical chronicle" that is TOW... and with Settra being memed to the moon and back these TK were never not going to have him at the center.
