  1. I am loving the new models, but as a whole, this model range scares me. So many breakable parts and objects balanced on tiny connecting points. My small children are going to wreck this army with out special messures!
  2. @Sigmarusvult See, that's exactly what I like about them. They seem to have just enough crazy, but still being like my old elves. A good blend between the two in my opinion.
  3. I was wondering that myself. The face looks more feminine, but the pose and angle make it hard to tell.
  4. There is a hand holding the chalice, possibly even the "damsel's" hand. So my thought is it belongs to some sort of support character, possibly a buff priest. @Nactigal They do some descent feeehand. Check out the runes on Teclis' cloak.
  5. Heh fair enough! Try pages 40-41 under the subtitle To The Gates of The Varanspire. It isn't long, and they don't mention the Chaos Dwarfs by name, but that's where it's at.
  6. @TheR00zle Bold words since Hashut's followers got bulldozed by Katakros.....😎
  7. As much as we've been talking over the reveal, the new models, and the implications thereof, there's a slightly scary question we haven't been asking. Is the cracked stone look actually on the model, or did they paint that freehand?
  8. I suspect this model might be more interresting in context once we get the full reveal.
  9. That would just be silly. If you have a hat that awesome, why would you ever take it off?
  10. In wonder if all the Lumineth's doors are crossed shaped at head hight instead of being just extra wide?
  11. While I like where you are going with the divergence of elements, they did mention in the article that the plaques on Teclis' belt are there because he's mastered all of the elements.
  12. I think the hammer wielding aelves have pretty much been confirmed with that one piece of artwork.
  13. I'm honestly not sure what to think about GW really pushing the Mountain angle. To my mind that's the least interesting of the four castes, and the least "aelven." Although in light of that thought, there in may lay the answer. GW may want to make the mountain sign work because it would be the hardest to do right. Apologies for the very stream-of-consciousness post.
  14. I really don't want to agree with you, though your reasoning is sound. Part of it is because after waiting all of these years for a replacement high elf army, I want my replacement Tyrion dammit! But I'm forced to agree that there is a large chance we might not get Tyrion yet.
  15. I think that's on purpose. Whitefang just posted something in the Rumor thread linking him with the bull/buffalo banner that they showed. I wonder if each of the different elements is going to have some sort of animal spirit linked to it?
  16. I think his face looks better in this pic. I really think it comes down to their paint job and the angles they're showing. In this pic he honestly gives the vibe of "I've got ****** to do and you're in my way."
  17. @Aelfric I'd like to see Tyrion with actual eyes, but have the paint job reflect that light is streaming from his eyes so intensely that that is what is blinding him. Think Cyclops from the X-men with out the optic blasts (or maybe with optic blasts because laser eyes are awesome and very in keeping with Light magic's laser spells from WHFB!)
  18. Good catch! After looking at it, I'm going to have to disagree with @Azamar. I think the old Asur rune is Tyrion's symbol, and Teclis' symbol is the big combo rune that combines all of the elements, seen on Teclis' belt. Another observation with the new banner pic, I wonder if that belongs to the hammer unit? The artwork for that character had the "cracked stone" look they're associating with the mountain rune. Looks like, instead of White Lions, we're getting Bull Hammerers.
  19. I think part of the problem is that GW painters like to paint aelven lips like they're getting ready to do Kabuki performances.
  20. After pouring over the pics a little more, I have to say that the Eltharion model continues to delight me. He might wind up being my first project just because of how awesome he is! I really neat detail is that on his back sheath, he has the "Asur" rune of old. That little nod to the world-that-was pleases me to no end!
  21. @michu I agree, I don't really have any problems with the heads. One of the things I have found interesting about all these released pictures is that they keep talking about the moon imagery for Teclis and the sun for Tyrion being the design philosophy. Yet they've almost exclusively been showing the Teclian half of the range so far.
  22. I'm not sure the calm one is Tyrion, especially since he's linked with the Mountain rune. Every time they've talked about Tyrion, they've used "fiery" and "sun" as his discriptive words, even in the same article talking about Eltharion's swords. I still stand by my prediction that they won't reveal Tyrion till Adepticon. That said, I want to know who the female aelf with the veil is!
  23. Yeah, it's a little bizzare. Even accounting for daylight savings time here in the US, they're running late. Edit: And the reason is they just revealed Ghazghkull and Ragnar Blackmane. Much as I want to begrudge them for moving back the Lumineth, I'm a huge Ragnar fan, so I'm kinda ok with this. P.S. Hmm, I like Tyrion and Teclis, Gotrek, and Ragnar Blackmane. It's like William King came up with all of the best characters in both settings....
  24. I'm home playing Tickle Monster today, so I'm trying to just check on the hour. My daughter is currently taking pictures of my feet with her toy camera.
