  1. All I'm hoping is that they don't split the various presentation topics between the two showcases. To use the Lumineth as an example (as they are near and dear to my heart), if they show half the models on the 28th and the other half on the 4th, just to ensure viewership through both presentations.
  2. Less than 24 hours for the next Lumineth Lowdown! Let's keep the hype train rolling! I think we'll most likely see pre-orders available in 2 weeks, which would mean our first models will be out in 3 weeks. Any one else planning on getting the Collector's Edition Battletome?
  3. Ah, gotcha. Not normally home from work this early on a Sunday, so I never really checked what time they dropped before.
  4. So our Sunday preview is.......there's a preview next Saturday. A preview of a preview. 😑
  5. Tyrion and Company Early Concept Sons of Behemet Slaanesh Mortals/Daughters of Khaine hints
  6. Actually, with the upcoming Lumineth release, one of the bigger land types in Hysh are desserts.
  7. @Damosane I hear you, and it kind of makes me wonder if Tyrion might not be the bridge between Teclis and Malerion. The two seem to have come to an understanding after the End Times. That said, I agree with @Tiberius501, Tyrion has always been my favorite character (though Eltharion is a close second). I'm still stoked for the Lumineth, but if Tyrion comes out in a different faction, I'll drop Teclis' kids like a hot potato! I feel I should add a sentiment here though, that at this point, we definitely need to see the whole army before any final judgements are made. There is so much we've seen out of context, and armies are the sum of their parts, not just little tidbits here and there.
  8. Heh, right? Things have become dire indeed if we've resorted to bad puns.
  9. Not that I want to dash your hopes, but I'm not entirely sure the whole range will be released all at once. Both OBR and Sisters armies did full releases, and it took several months to get the full release out. Which honestly is best for my wallet! In a side thought, did anyone catch the part on the Herald poster where it specified the Teclian Nations? That seems fairly deliberate to me, and makes me wonder what they have in store for Tyrion.
  10. So an interesting factoid for everyone. Historically, two weeks after an article in the Hammerhal Herald, the army is released!
  11. I think the best thing we can hope for at this point is that they have at least one more really amazing model to show us. If they led with Teclis, and that was the biggest center piece model, all of this build up is going to feel wasted. Eh, don't mind me. Tired and grumpy and want my new toy soldiers!
  12. It's awesome that they've shown as much as they have. But the problem is everything they've shown just leads to more questions. I'm actually kinda questioning how effective this is for them. Those of us who have bought in are in. Keeping up the slow trickle of info is just torture at this point.
  13. That helps the model a lot! Also draws the eye more to the weapons, which has a cool effect.
  14. Nice! You might want to add a small dot or two of warmer color in there to help make the other colors pop a little more. Your color transitions are really good though!
  15. According to what they've said so far, the Lumineth are the ones that they've been able to purify the most. The aetherquartz is a further safeguard, almost like the Soul Stones of the Aeldari in 40k. The quartz drains emotion, leaving their owner's soul unpalatable to Slaanesh. The long term use of the quartz has been said to leave it's user almost completely emotionless. That's about all we know so far.
  16. @Skabnoze You mean the guy that almost saved the Old World with his plan, and was only undone by Mannfred's treachery? The guy that almost succeeded where Sigmar pretty much failed? That incompetent guy?
  17. Heh, that was the final form of the cheese build. You know what you took if you didn't want to field that? A Star Dragon Prince with the Giant Blade to give youself Strength 7. Hit like a freight train, and your opponent had a chance to shoot it off the table. Besides, I played through the dark days of 6th edition as well. 6th made you earn every victory with High Elves through blood and tears, since everything died to a soft breeze.
  18. They were also a very finesse based and tactical army. They lacked a lot if high strength attacks, but made up for it with higher movement and an army wide strikes first ability. They were very much about applying force exactly where you needed to when you needed to. They also had possibly the best light cavalry in the game. Backing this up with awesome magic, they were one of the powerhouses of WHFB toward the end.
  19. I'm working on my tower, so that's sustaining me a little bit. I'm probably going to hold off painting the runes until I figure out exactly how I'm going to paint my army to match the two. Also, I want to see if I can find a marble to glue on top that also matches.
  20. @LuminethMage That's an interesting thought, but I'm not sure he is the Sun Spirit, since he's the God of Light. In much the same way that Teclis is partners with Celennar, I think Tyrion would be partners with the Sun Spirit. Heh, this whole line of thought is awesome to think about, but fustrating at the same time! We still know so very little about the Lumineth, and we're still at least a week out from any possible new information. And that's assuming GW takes pity on us and gives us another Lumineth Lowdown article. Must. Hold. On. To. Patience! 😤
  21. I'm going to echo something that Vince from Warhammer Weekly said. I don't want Azyr to be invaded. I'm actually kinda miffed that Azyr was the only hold out during the Age of Chaos, but then the setting is called Age of Sigmar, so I guess Sigmar should be allowed to have the spot light in his own setting. But Azyr's survival is one of the cool differences between AOS and the Old World in my opinion. See, once the End Times kicked off, the ending was pretty much already a done deal. You walked into the setting knowing that Chaos was eventually going to win. Where as in AOS, Sigmar has at least managed to create a bastion capable of holding Chaos off, and even striking back from it. I think it would do a huge disservice to the setting if the manage to crack Azyr, especially since early into the story's overall lifespan.
  22. So that leads me to ask, what do we really know about the Ur-Phoenix? Is it a god beast? And what is it exactly compared to regular phoenixes? Because honestly, with Celennar being the Moon Spirit of Hysh, and Tyrion most likely being tied to the Sun Spirit, I think the Ur-Phoenix is a likely canidate for the "dragon-phoenix."
