  1. That is one of the things I miss the most from Fantasy. I loved being able to pick out weapons, armour, mounts, artefacts, and such for my hero and then making up a cool model for them or using the hero kits that were a mounted and foot hero with lots of bits to pick from. Heroes are so bland to me now since most don't even have options at all for how to kit them out.
  2. I haven't played any 3rd ed rules yet but my experience from 2nd ed has been that most of the time the ballista isn't reliable when it comes to doing damage but the -1 to hit ability has been useful from time to time. I almost always felt like a 10man of sentinels was more useful than the ballista for doing damage and was happy with paying the 40points extra but now that it is only a 25point difference, I am not sure how much love the ballista will be getting in the long run from me but I'm going to keep trying it out for awhile since I do like the model a lot.
  3. I'm really sad about the large point increase to Sevireth. The amount of times I've had him do 2-3 damage in a turn and fail his 3+ fly over bomb drop already made me sad at his cost but now he is more expensive and all monsters can destroy terrain so his special ability is less unique, granted I know we don't have many monsters but still... I feel like He has just been pointed out of play-ability for me. I don't think him having access to the heroic actions makes him worth a 45point increase... Oh well, guess I can just swap in 20 more sentinels since everyone loves that we seem to only be able to spam sentinels...
  4. I want to love my brutes. I really truly want to. Sadly though, they don't feel like they have much of a role/use in any of my lists. Five brutes don't do pretty much anything in my many games and for the cost of ten brutes, I would much prefer to have the fifteen 'ardboys since they are much less likely to flee, get a better charge bonus, hold a zone better, and just seem more reliable and useful. Sadly the other issue I have with brutes is that for just 20points more I can have gore-gruntas, who are way faster and deadlier. I'm not sure how to make brutes more useful with our current book due to the fact that we only have three units to pick from and they are all similar in points so they have to compete against each other and gore-gruntas are just too great at the cost and ardboys are such a solid block of troops.
  5. The move from MD requires you to be outside of 12 from an enemy. If you are 12 or closer it forces you to charge unless you are within 3 then you have to fight.
