They are officially Hysh I feel like my last minute prediction was kinda correct, even if the execution was not what I had in my head.

Last minute prediction/desire. Hyish warband that is themed around "upper class" and treachery. Daggers hidden on their persons under fine clothing. Hero/warband leader being a mage of some sort.

But the chariot blades love you! I'm personally spending the time trying to not get too caught up with my ideas for the next death army to be Nagash's version of Stormcast or how I would do Chaos cultists from Hysh.

If they are from Aqshy they need to turn it up to 11 and do something totally new for the realm. With that said I really feel like it is going to be Hysh for a variety of reasons (the pairing with ulgu and the feel of the symbol for the warband being the main ones).

I predict the Stormcast warband for season 3 is going to be the easy to build castigators with the gryph hound. This would pretty much make all of the stormcast bases covered other than the Paladin units. Chaos I will lean more toward Slaanesh, but really I feel it could go either way I'm predicting the New Aelfs are going to lean into the wanderers I predict that whatever the new death faction is will get a warband. Also expect FEC to get one Ogors will get a warband. A Chaos Warriors/Armored Chaos mortals warband.

This appears to be a random saturday announcement (which I suspect will be followed by a sunday reveal as Warcry being available to preorder next weekend). The next reasonable time for them to reveal a new AoS army is at the open day on the 20th. To add to this I would be HIGHLY surprised if we don't get a glimpse at a new death faction since I am assuming the missing Warcry faction symbol for the nonchaos factions is death, that the Warcry rules for it will be in the book, they have been hinting at it existing for a while, and they probably want the reveal to happen before we get those rules in our hands. Gives us something new to get excited about.

I would have put money on Shyish being the excluded realm, but man am I glad that I was wrong.

If it follows the pattern of the season 1 starter, then the two warbands will be available individually once season 3 starts. Also, I think it is important to note that this Dreadfane set is not a starter in the same way that the previous Shadespire and Night Vault sets were. It is being sold in bookstores and is not considered part of the season releases. Instead Dreadfane seems to be an evergreen onramp that will try and get people who shop at B&N into the game.

Nope. Current Starter is Evocators vs a smattering of Nighthaunt. This one is Sequitors vs Banshees (the models for which have been on sale as easy to build kits since the launch of AoS 2.0)

The more I think about it them making a warband from both Hysh and Ulgu would be kinda awesome.

Azyr, Aqshy, Ulgu, Shyish, and Hysh are not represented. I doubt we will get Azyr, although I would love it if they made la corrupt civilization themed warband from Azyr. I'm also inclined to think we won't be getting Hysh. This would put the remaining three bands as being from Aqshy, Ulgu, and Shyish.

So far they have made a point of calling out the specific realm each has been from and talked about how that has affected their culture/flavor. I would be surprised for them to break with this on the last few chaos bands.

Yeah, this weekend is the halflings. I would not be surprised to see it announced on Sunday as the next pre-order, though

Feeling like we are going to see the contrast pre-order weekend either next weekend or the one after. It is looming large at the moment....

The idea that WHQ could take the place of the RPG is very odd to me. The WHQ experience is pretty focused, and only on one aspect that would be covered by a full fledged RPG.

Now I am imagining using this to get a max sized squig herd into a target. The only unit I don't mind having when they make a battleshock test (as long as they are next to an enemy).

I was under the impression that what was said was "At least one per GA"

My two biggest wants for new armies right now are either mechanical automatons or crazy magical constructs/golems/elementals. If they give me either of those I will be in for another full army.

If we get a clockwork automaton army, my wallet will cry so so much.
