Tester for new vampire counts army.

Thanks! I'm quite lucky that I unlocked the fast painter ability early on lol. My record for most models painted in a year is 1010, I'm at 234 so far this year so on track to potentially beat it fingers crossed! TOW has really fired up my painting engine, I've not been this enthusiast about painting in years!

I'll be using ardboyz as black orcs myself. I'm really enjoying using AoS models in the old world, it's really satisfying seeing them ranked up!

Next up and just finished is the Court of the Summerking

We'll start with the first army I painted this year, my Night Goblins for The Old World. 2000 points with magic items and plenty of room to grow. Will defo be adding some orcs at some point.

I seem to be on a bit of a roll with painting armies at the moment and TOW has really boosted my creative and painting mojo so here is a blog of my painted armies.

Isn't this a list speculated by a member here? I saw someone screenshot it and post on fb and now it seems to be taken as gospel.

The Bret and Tomb King boxes have more stuff in including the rulebook so it's not surprising.

The 2 lists in the journal are the Troll Horde and Normadic Waaaagh. I'm guessing the nomadic waaaagh will be caverly based as it used to be a alternative list back in 5th/6th edition fantasy.

I don't know, it seems to me that the game is marketted to players with old armies so a campaign book before all armies are out isn't out of the question but who knows. This is why a roadmap would be great!

I shall consult the tea leaves!! A fairly safe bet would be to show off the dwarfs. It must be to early for a campaign book surely. I predict they won't release that until later in the year!

😂😂😂 I'll do my best!! Want to get my hands on some big uns (some of my fave orc models) plus those glorious ogres and the troll hag. I swear I should just set up a direct debt straight to GW every month!!

😂😂😂 That prediction of April for orcs and goblins aged well!! So happy to see so many wonderful greenskin models coming back and also the return of paper banners! I hope they release a pack of them like they used to do.

There is a rough pattern to GW releases. 40k and AoS get 1-3 releases a month HH seems to get 1 release a month Kill Team, warcry and underworlds are on a quarterly release cycle I suspect necromunda is as well apart from the odd resin characters. Middle earth and blood bowl seem to be ad hoc. I can see TOW being the same as HH with monthly releaees, going something like this: 1st release wave of an army Next month 2nd wave Following month 3rd wave and 1st wave of the next army to be released.

We had the 2nd wave a couple of weeks ago so waiting on 3rd and presumably last wave of brets and tomb kings. I suspect it will land in April along with wave 1 of orcs and goblins. I'm hoping we get a road map at adaptacon.

A black coach. The new coach is way to big for a chariot base and the old coach doesn't fit in with the new soulblight models. When I was making the spirit hosts I was inspired to look at the rest of the nighthaunt range and had a light bulb moment lol.

Thanks! Apart from snipping off a small piece off the boats base every went onto square bases and ranked up without any issues. I'm looking forward to painting them, should be fairly straight forward and easy.

Assembled another Old World army from the pile of opportunity! Vampire counts this time. Vampire Count on Abysmal Terror Flying ghoul king. Vamp on foot Wight King Black Coach Fell bat's, dire wolves, ghouls, black knights, skeletons, spirit hosts and blood knights. Almost finished painting my flesh eaters so think I'll paint these next.

Great report! The big blob did good then. Especially against a tough unit like black orcs

I think the only spell that would do it is Battle Lust from dark magic which gives you frenzy and hatred. Can't wait to get my foot knights so I can assemble my brets and do some kit bashing.

That's a big blob of peasants!! I like the list, the only thing I would be tempted to do is drop the foot knights and use the points to bolster the knight units (I know you don't have the models but maybe something for the future).

My initial thought is you don't roll against 1 wound models as they can't take more than 1 wound. However, the troll in your example can't take 8 wounds so there is an argument to roll. If it were up to me, I would play it that you cannot cause more wounds then the model has (except in a challenge of course).

Hope plague monks do get a new kit, they badly need it, more so than clan rats. The next few months is going to be expensive! Darkoath, Skaven and Warcry, oh my!

I wouldn't have an issue with you using a large round base if we played, as long as you're consistent from where you measure from for shooting and I know where I need to get to for charging. If you're planning to go to events and tournaments, best check with the organisers.
