Makes sense that they aren't releasing the old fanatics and squigs when there are amazing new plastics to use. Why waste resources producing them when most people will use the new ones? While GW may not officially advertise cross comparability across AoS and TOW its what most people will do, I'm building a night goblin army using just AoS models. This orc and goblin release is way bigger than I expected and while a new plastic kit or two would have been nice, it bodes well for the future of TOW.

I'm hoping for today as well. ***** Love there are returning forge world models, gives hope that the monsters will and the fabulous empire kits.

Isn't Warcry on a 3 month cycle like underworlds? So there could be 2 more Warcry releases before 4th Ed drops. I could be wrong tho.

It's black drybrushed thunderhawk blue and then a lighter drybrush of fenrisen grey. It's a bit darker than shown in the pic. Nice and simple, can't be spending to much time when you have 100+ gobbos to do lol.

It's how it's always been for artillery, you would always measure to and from the actual machine for things like shooting and charging regardless of where the crew were.

2nd unit of night goblins, archers this time.

I never believed the releases would be every 6 months (wherever that time frame came from). It makes sense they'll want to get out stuff for all factions in a decent time frame and cash in on the hype.

Anyone seen the orc and goblin list. Are night goblin netters and clubbers a unit again or are they upgrades to a unit if in the list at all?

Built my first unit for my night goblin army. Just need to add some textured paint to the bases before undercoating.

The legacy lists won't be legal in GW run events. It's up to 3rd party event organisers if legacy lists can be used or not. Looking at FB groups here in the UK, the general consensus is legacy lists can be used in their upcoming events (of which quite a few are being planned, I happy to see). So unless you only play at GW run tournaments legacy lists are not unplayable.

The only new piece of infomation given today regarding legacy list is theh won't be legal in GW official events. Nothing else is new info as they've stated it long ago.

It's been known for ages that not every faction would be support, even which factions will and won't was stated long ago, there is no surprises here. I knew full well my dark elves will only get a pdf list and that's it. Will that stop me enjoying painting and playing with them? Absolutely not, it's going to be great seeing and using them in the battlefield again.

But legacy armies are getting rules, a army list and points via pdfs. GW have been upfront and honest that other than the 9 factions that they are focusing on every other legacy army will get a list at the beginning so anyone with those armies can take part in TOW. They've also been upfront saying they won't be supported going forward or tounement legal (in official GW events). Someone said earlier in the thread it's clear that GW are being conservative with the game which I have to disagree with. They could have just rereleased old models and called it quits but instead they have retooled and cut new moulds for models and from today's articles it seems there is going to be mulpile waves for each line coming. The thing about releases every 6 months as well doesn't seem right. Apart from middle earth every game gets regular releases. I can't see them waiting 2 and half years to release all 9 factions. I think alot of people have underestimated how popular TOW is going to be. I'll be doing a new dark elf army as they are my fave warhammer army and I've a load of orcs and goblins that will be built for TOW. Cannot wait for this release!!
