  1. No, shield bonuses are built into the warscrolls profile.
  2. It’s SCE dragons. There’s a rumour they are getting more dragon units. So I bet that Kroak hands those eggs over to Sigmar who recruits the dragons to wreak vengeance on Kragnos and the forces of destruction that toppled their ancient empire.
  3. Like other posters said impossible to tell until we see the new Battletome but potential stonks (in no particular order): * Stardrakes (monster heroes are good in 3.0) * Tauralon (monster wizard heroes also good) * Aetherwings (cheap fliers can melt unleash hell dreams) * Celestant Prime (Yndrasta style buff expected eg 4++ ward, also heroes are good in 3.0) * Dracoths & Dracilines (tough MSU cav counting as x2 for scoring), to a lesser extent Palladors * Evocators (just as good as before, can still come in 10s, 2” weapons, MW output incredible against MSU) * Judicators (good shooting units get a buff in 3.0) * Knight Azyros (rr1s combos well with All out Attack boosting most to hit rolls to 2+) * Knights Incantor and Lords Arcanum (can now self heal Spirit Flasks) * Knight Venator (buff the super arrow with All out Attack and Finest Hour) * Lord Castellant (save a CP) * Lord Relictor and Lord Veritant (priests get buffed in 3.0) * PROSECUTORS (can reliably charge outside 9” so no Redeploy and charge over screens into shooting units to deny Unleash Hell) * Sequitors in 5s (great little objective holders, good into MSU, buffed by reroll & modifier change) * Vanguard Raptors (strong shooting is good in 3.0) Nothing stands out with the other stuff. Potentially Libs will be improved with a 3+ but that remains to be seen. Notable exception for falling stonks is the Celestial Ballista. Can only buff one of these war machines with All out Defence, and doesn’t stack with Lord Ordinator bonus in any case (or any other source of +1 to hit). Gone are the days of 3+ with multishot vs monsters with Astral Templars. Pretty terrible with Unleash Hell. RIP.
  4. Phew. Does mean you need to be careful with subsequent movement with other units so as not to trigger it.
  5. This could be a HUGE nerf due to redeploy. If deployment counts as a move, the CA may be eligible. Which makes all those 9” charges 10”…
  6. The point was that these units are used as objective holders because they are cheap, which no longer applies if they are x2 the cost. Also I would have thought you want to invest precious reinforcement points on strong units, not objective holders, but you do you
  7. Yeah and my point was if they go to min10 then they are no good
  8. Big change here. Could be good on combat wizards
  9. This is going to be massive for units with large vases without 2” weapons. Chaos Warriors without halberd and liberators for example would be straight in the 🗑
  10. Totally different. PE combined high saves with high model count, mass resurrection, and frankly outrageous damage (3 attacks exploding 6s with +1 to hit at rend 2 on basic infantry when fully buffed). High saves on their own is not q problem especially when it’s low model count, restricted resurrection and normalised damage. It is Libs and Seqs to 3+
  11. Why the Castellant? All out Defence Does the same thing
  12. Yeah I assumed everyone will be gravitating towards Thunderstrike, particularly Annihilators, so value of Imperatant is up big. Praetors sat around any big hero or gaggle of smaller heroes are good.
  13. Thoughts: need to see new Lib and Sequitor warscrolls and any further Thunderstrike synergy before making a decision on Vindictors. I like what I see and they are the future though so it’s only a matter of time. Praetors are really, really good. Will definitely see them a lot. Annihilators are on the top end but I think you’ll still see at least one in most lists. Spam lists will be fun. Imperatant is auto include at 160. Knight-Arcanum is horrendously overpriced. New Vexillor at just 5 more with a heal/resurrect is bonkers good, near must take for an elite army. Yndrasta is actually quite good and makes a mockery of the Celestant Prime. I’d use her.
  14. Leaks for those that don’t obsessively study every single social media platform.
  15. 140 for the Vindictors seems solid for that 3+, MW, stat line and all the expected Thunderstrike synergy. I predict that rend is super important due to All out Defence and Their Finest Hour. With smaller board sizes and smaller units in general I think the extra points cost over Libs and Seqs is worthwhile. For comparison vs 4+ sequitors 5 Libs 2 (lol) vindictors 4
  16. FYI under strength units already exists in current rules. Everyone calm down.
  17. That’s not actually borne out by the wording of the ability. It’s exactly the same as when the unit was first previewed; the warcom fluff doesn’t reflect the rules as written. I’m too lazy to go check but it would not be surprised if this is a copy and paste of the original SBGL preview article. Normal moves started within 3” of an enemy are a retreat and ineligible for charging. 3.0 might change this mind, but in 2.0 it doesn’t work like they think it does.
  18. My guess is “all of the above.” More decision making in list building, reduce lethality by reigning in some of the biggest units that can take best advantage of new CAs, make monsters and heroes more viable, probably has something to do with entry barriers too.
  19. Caveated though by smaller unit sizes making it harder to do this. Edit: to add, I think this is a good thing. I am starting to see a system with meaningful decisions around unit type and size. A few units still stand out as problematic but that list is shrinking and the wider picture is improving.
  20. Knight Heraldors live and die by terrain. I have had games where there is a massive terrain piece in the middle of the field, or in a crucial location, and he was MVP spending the whole time tooting his horn and handing out 9-12 MWs per round. I have also had games with smaller terrain pieces or it is spread out and possibly to stay 3” away from.
