  1. What use could small battleline units have counting as x3 in an objective game when Stormcast are typically outnumbered 🤔
  2. “In addition” rules are usually just that. They do the thing in addition to everything that came before those words, unless there is a further restriction. No restriction here so the mortals work every round. In addition (hah) the rule doesn’t say within 1” of any Redeemer unit, nor does it say up to one, so I believe it fires for each.
  3. It’s not difficult guys just give the other player turn 1 and get them to charge her into something that can reliably do 3 wounds to her. Easy
  4. Sin guy/bin guy isn’t directed at any one person and anything who thinks it is has misunderstood the point. It is a criticism of the wildly inconsistent rules writing and quality between battletomes, often released at exactly the same time. Slaanesh and daughters. Ogres and ossiarchs. Etc.
  5. Did anyone else notice that the dragons ability isn’t restricted to combat? So if he can kill things in the hero phase (with dragon magic) and the shooting phase (with dragon breath) and the charge phase (with stomp) he could be stacking bonuses quite quickly
  6. If so that is 10 then including some crucial ones like Savage Gains and Tectonic Interference.
  7. Big book faq (now removed) was objectives on the border don’t count as within your territory.
  8. Worth pointing out that only 3 battleplans have objectives in home territory, the other 9 are all no mans land. So you have to keep that redeemer unit alive for 3 turns to get any value of out Shield. But still, it’s something to do in Tooth and Nail
  9. 800 point dragon 3 praetors 30 vindictors 5 liberators Yndrasta 3rd edition let’s go
  10. It’s only a snapshot of the rules but so far it has big sin guy vibes. I’m also pleased that GW finally recognise the SCE weaknesses and seem to be trying to do something about it. No more losing objective control to 10 dudes popping up somewhere. Very excited to see what else might be in store for a Scions list.
  11. Stormkeep armies couldn’t take SCE behemoths iirc so that disclaimer is to highlight that you can of course play the big stompy expensive monster. anyway Why yes my 5 Liberators do count as 15 models and reduce all rend by 1, also here’s some Mortal Wounds, why do you ask?
  12. To chime in here, I too usually use liberators as battleline filler, but I outright despise the models even after giving them cloaks, and cannot bear the thought of buying more. So I only run 2x5 and use the third slot for something I don’t hate, currently 10 Vindictors. When the tome drops I’ll probably switch to 3x5 vindictors, or maybe 2 and 5 vanquishers.* I know it’s not the most points efficient but I am happy to pay that cost not to play liberators and use sweet Thunderstrike sculpts instead. So there are limits even to the most competitive of list writing I think. *Unless of course sin guy has had his way with Vigilors in which case I am all in
  13. 1.0 is way too far in the past. That stuff was decided like 12 years ago, it’s completely irrelevant. 9th 40k is a good shout though. I looked at this a while ago, hold on. Ah here we go I only counted Space Marines: Following Indomitus they got 3 new heroes and 6 new units (not multipart versions of what was in the box, and not counting variants), on top of the 4 heroes and 4 units that were in the box. Total 7 heroes, 10 units. Still both necrons and marines aren’t “new” armies like kruleboyz so it’s still not a like for like.
  14. It is hard to draw parallels with other releases as most of them are either updates of older armies, and not true “new ranges” like kruleboyz (even though they are going in war clans), or were released much earlier and under different guiding principles eg IDK, FS. I wouldn’t like to draw comparisons here as it’s not a like for like. OBR and LRL are the closest parallels (obviously discounting Sons). Similarily I’ve not counted SCE as these are the “poster” faction and should naturally expect to deviate from the norm (although we’re currently looking at 13 kits which is way more than Sacrosanct at 9). It *is* weird if they don’t have cavalry as both OBR and LRL got this in their initial waves. I guess GW want to go in a monster direction here instead?
  15. IDD just highlighting that it wouldn’t surprise me if we are at an end based on raw number.
  16. Kruleboyz are getting 12 unique kits (not counting alternate weapons/builds or dominion etb duplicates) which is more than Ossiarchs and wave 1 LRL.
  17. Sadly I think anyone expecting more kruleboyz should consider that they’ve already shown off the centrepiece and you only go up from there, marketing-wise. I doubt they are now going to indulge in bathos by revealing a plain old infantry unit. It’s an anticlimax when you want to finish on a high. Even a light cavalry wolf rider unit is going to feel a little limp after that vulture thing. They can still pull it off with SCE as dragon cavalry will no doubt be large, elite and pack enough of that wow factor to follow the dragons.
  18. I don’t disagree but didn’t he also play 7 steam tanks at one point?
  19. I think that rumour got distorted from the kruleboyz being described as “like lotr wargriders” and also that one mounted boss.
  20. Usual 🧂 applies for warcom Facebook responses but this could well be it for the kruleboyz.
  21. Yeah the Cursed City mystery rumbles on. It’s only mentioned once and they say they simply didn’t have enough stock. They do also talk about warehousing chokepoints. Very odd.
  22. Hey look GW are making a big deal of their IP in their financial statement. It’s almost like this has huge value to them and they want to control it carefully rather than being moustache-twirling villains that want to ruin your fun.
