  1. my expectations were allready low, only a picture of next 2 tomes... but gw did even worse. 0 tomes, only a narrative book.... but 40k got 2 next tomes with full release of minis ( 2 sets in ik army is a full army lol) chaos marines with of course new miniatures. necromunda box. horus herehy and all aos got was 1 minigame band,1 hero and 1 narrative book with 3 new sceno... gw always had the focus on 40k but it is getting way too absurd lately. 40k get so many units for lots of armys where aos is lucky to get 1 tiny heroe
  2. well as idk player i would have been happy to get a whitedwarf update instead this 3.0 tome... so if my seraphons wont get a new bad 3.0 tome like previous ones for this year... im really happy!! haha but im also angry with gw for the 40k increased focus and the ignore on aos, a remerge of woodelves into sylvaneth with kurnothis would be cool.
  3. this rule is great for similar level armys, where both armys can have a fight, and kill each other units. in this case, yeah it will tip the balance to other side. but for lower power armys??? wont do anything. since they need to kill things in order to get closser, and those armys struggle doing that. it should have been a change where worst armys get more points for objetives, not for killing.
  4. basti continued nerfs amazes me. it is the worst ranged unit dmg/points im sure ( none can be worst than average of 6dmg for 250p), even counting 2xshotting( spendc1cp, only 1 faction. cloose to general etc) it do around same dmg per points than lot of ranged units. and i dont see every faction with atack 2 times, or cp of +1atacks getting x2 his cost only for that... and agree it wont fix anything. only +60p on fulmis, dragons and some nurgle things would start to fix the meta. or sc not being able to get every cities passives doing them so broken
  5. it always happens!! thats the reason im holding back my urges to buy kroxis,salamanders and chamaleons.... because im sure they will be redone in plastic any day
  6. to add some fast numbers ( may be a bit off). old shark against 4save had 3.4 at shotting and 7.52 in melee, so 10.9 dmg for 1 shark at range of king and eidolon being in fuethan. new shark against 4 save do 2.3 shotting and 6.31 in mele, so 8.61. ( yes if u take fuethan and the unit of 3 1 of all amy could have 0.5 more bytes, but it issnt for every shark) so against 4 armor: old 10.9 dmg for 725 points new 8.61 dmg for 770points and this same % difference can be aplied to every akhelian mounted unit. do u get it? fully buffed units lost around 19% dmg, more if u use all atack that not stack with new king but did. with old. and got increased in points. sure numbers will be better with lothan but he cant keep with mounted units , and auras ranged were nerfed hard too, so differences are higher in actual games since old auras were on more units. call me crazy but a net decrease of 20% across the board is worse than new rituals and some sligthy better scrolls like morsar or king.
  7. again, noone saying we are garbagge unplayable. everyone claimming this book is worse than we were. pretty obvious since everything is the same or worse on new book and we lost every enclave and aura. only king, lothan and thralls are better. overall will that build be even stronger than previous one? who knows maybe, but the sure thing is internal balance is far worse than on previous book where we could use any unit at roughly same power. per example explain me how sharks are better now? i know they are good, but im asking u how are they better in new book? same stats, lost rerolling 1s to hit in everything to only +1( that can be get with cp) only to raider and only in melee. lost +1 to wound in everything for only raiders in melee( eidolon) or only in melee if u can follow them with lothan. so i wont do the maths, but on a fast glimpse they lost like 20-25% dmg only for those enclaves auras nerfs, without any buff to make up.( noone will run eidolon anymore. and lotan wont keep ut with mounted units). and same is aplied to every unit in book besides thralls, even reavers lost like 10-13% dmg with the removal of wound aura. and if im not mistaken cant run and charge anymore in reversetide. so only won rituals, and they arent amazing neither besides the semi inmune to shotting or the 5++ to namarti, and some abilitys to play with them. or thralls being able to charge and fight in rare ocassions, that isnt so good since they will be atacked first for the unit charged so trhalls will be dead before figthing unless they charge a ranged unit or be on high tide. in summary every mounted unit lost like 20% dmg in new book for the pasives lost/nerfed, and even reavers lost dmg could u elaborate how im totally wrong and everything got better now? and thats not counting the increase in points since that can change any faq and i dont mind.
  8. yes noone is doom & gloom. but is obvious everything besides thralls are worse in tome.yes even shark and reavers and worse. none saying sky is falling army is useless sell ur army!, but the army went down some points for sure. per example how are sharks better in new tome?? they have the same scroll( wound is a buff if use turtle or nerf without one). it lost reroll1s to hit( dom hain or king),+1wound( eidolon) both in melee and shoting. on new tome it only retain rr 1s to hit only in melee only riders, and +1wound again only into melee. same can be aplied to every unit but thralls. the guys i cant understand are one one who thinks idk were the absolute best army, and the tome made them even better!! lol even if every warscroll and points would be the same the total removal of enclaves passives,and massive nerfs in auras would be a global nerf in army power. bigger than being inmune to shotting in t1. now sum up the huge increase in points. if every aura change to affect melee and shotting, and not exclude mounts with decresse in points in every hero and turtle i would say it is a good tome. and thralls arent so amazing neither. grave guard is better for only 10p more, and they can have plus 300 atks, atack 2 times, revive every turn, and even revive half unit if wiped out. with smaller base, only loose in 2 less move. and i dont see soulblight stomping every tourney with them
  9. exactly this, some people writting as if idk were totally op and top army. when numbers. tourneys etc shows them as midtier army. and tome isnt a buff at all. at best heavy namarti lists will be around the same power as any build we had before tome. every enclave lost every pasive. every aura/buff was nerfed to not affect ranged and/or not affect mounts. turtle is worse, ishlaen is worse tanking( his role), eidolons are worse.. so whats better in tome to make it a power book that noone saw??? sure a king can get really nice buffs, still nothing great and mostly once per battle. sure eels and sharks arent bad, but they are the same as before but lost huge buffs and sinergies. only thing i could see being better are thralls, getting 5++ in some cases, being able to fight 2 times in some cases etc cant think on anything besides that better than on old tome ( that wasnt a top tome)

  11. 50€ for each lumineth troop. and same 50 for swordmasters and hammerelves, call me crazy but 10€ for every litle elf is waaay too much for me
  12. eels arent so bad, but they lost soo much dmg if u compare them with previous tome. not on scroll but on alliance abilitys and auras. per example morsar on dom hain could be 2s rerolling 1s to hit ( for charge and king) and 2s to wound rerolling everything against monsters ( eidolon and enclave). now they are 3/3 unless u spend a cp to get +1hit, and king eidolon auras only would work on raiders. so even if the scroll wouldnt get any change they lost like 20-30% dmg only for the nerfs in enclaves and auras. despite that morsar is okish. but whats the use on ishlaen nos they cost the same as morsar? in aos3 everything can get +300 to saves. so 4ethereal is worse than normal 4. per example morsar on t1 with turtle will save at 3 ignoring 1 rend. so i could use morsar but dont find any use on ishlaen right now. i was hoping they would be changed to 3+armor not ethereal
  13. turtle will go down for sure. since it is worse than pretome but cost much more now. heck even fireslayer tome have magnadroths doing more dmg than turtle, being hero, comands etc for 150 less points. no way turtle cost more than 400p, unless they give him back his old d6mortals on charge. not the new stomp joke
  14. hmm i found the best buff in all tome. in last page.. lumineth and cities ally now....... who need the nerfed tank eels with his 4 useless ethereal when u can have phoenix guard for less points with his 4+ AND 4++, absolute better in everything for less points. sure they are slower. but can take the hits on turn1 and then camp our zone objetives with the remaining members alve. or frost phoenyx for a -1 to wound for everything,not only for namartis in melee or could take 20 sentinels since people cry so much about them lol or sevireth to protect our squishy namarti from charges. the combos are infinites with those allys.
  15. but but but volturnos head is hugly as ****** for me, so i instabuilded king with awesome fishhelm. why dont build king and say it id volturnos with some common sense using a helm on a war? haha
  16. no thats the meaning of medians, u take all results not only the best and ignore the bads. in general it has around 50-52% winrate. pretty normal. and the other important stat, 5-0, and 4+ show them as midtier army, so in conclussion idk was a midtier army. top army rigth now are sc, nurgle,cities,seraphon, aand after them maybe dok,orcs,some flavour of daemos of chaos, ad then after some more armies u got idk. not deserving a tome like this at all.... and like i said. people who dont care aboutvbalanced tomes and only care about winnng can be happy, tome is ****** balancewise but thralls builds will be far better than actual builds. im sure of it. when "tank eels" are squisier than "dmg eels" u start wondering about the balance on tome ( yes 4 ethereal is worse than 4base that can be uograded easy with turtle,cover,mystic shield,cp generic etc) and even cost the same. not saying ishlaen be useless( dont want to cry so much) but whats his use now? but call me stupid, but i prefer to be midtier playing a bit of every unit than being top playing 1-2 units
  17. im sure some crazy guy will play like 140 thralls and lothan xDD or takeout 20 for king, since the highttide cp is really strong seriously thralls should be at least 145p.. and it is my army. honestwargamer said they even have 4+armor, is that rigth????
  18. ill copy my idk post i did. so seems my fears were true. we will be forced to only spam thralls..... it would be like a brettonian army without any cavalry. i dont get why everything got nerfed to not affect mounts. but yes, thralls are absurded. and it is really bad for the tome since it will be competitive but only spamming thralls, exactly the same as the years we were forced to only spam eels. i dont see that as healthy tome. would have liked more a more balanced thralls but every aura affecting mounts and ranged again etc. now we will be a hyper alphaestrike melee army , maybe top army but sadly not my style. lucky i hate tournaments so will keep using my balanced lists, but with so much lower power than usual

  20. where do i said tome be trash? im sure actual builds and builds without namartis will be worse than now ( 99% sure), but namarti heavy list may be better than actual lists. but people like me who like to play everything. would say that tome is worse than actual. people who only want to win with no care on spaming same mini 100 times may say it is a really nice tome.
  21. thats exactly my feelings. idk has been a really bad tome since his release since u were forced to play only eels and voltu or u couldnt even start playing. but since morathy the book has been great since most of minis were playables. and after fury of the deep box.... best tome ever. every miniature was great to use but in general idk wasnt a top army, it keep being a midtier army but with everything feeling good. new book if rumour i have are true. and im sure of them is going back to eel spam era but changing to namarti spam.as unhealty as those first years were. everything besides namarti is getting worse( despite those minis being on a mid army, not on a oppressive top army), and only namartis are staying the same or getting new things.

  23. more rumours, this time buffs we have some way to summon a second boat( boooo, im not buying a second one!) and units inside have a 5++ but minis with 5+wounds cant get inside. thralls have a way to figth 2 times. again good things for namartis, seems likely we went from only eels to healty book and now will go to only namarti
  24. sure full namartis could be even top army, but... call me crazy i started this army to play sea elves on fishes. not only to spam 100 bald and blind guys but yes. 2x30 reavers 2x10 thralls lotann storm tidecaster and others 200-300 points could be great, but would be as fun as voltur and eels list were on first 3 years
  25. winrate is the most useless stat for me in competitive, even the best army who win every game will round up to 50% for mirror matches etc. tourney wons is the important stat. and on last 2 months even with new op namartis idk got 0 5 wins, and even on 4wins they are around 10th, sure an army with more players will get more wins since they are playing more matches, but same can be said about winrate. most played armys will go torward 50% win for mirror and since more unknowledge or "bad" players will play them and loose, in contratst factions with low numbers of players are usually exerienced players that should win more in average that thypical guy who goes torward "fotm" armies. per example SC havent a high winrate, but won like 70% tourneys, so they are balanced rigth?
