problem is that, idoneth getting something remains a dream. they are the only faction with whole edittion without a book. and i think they are the only full aos army that didnt get anything ( only the mandatory 3.0 hero dont count) since his release like 5 years ago.... so i allready lost the hope with them and got seraphons and lumineths too

no. it was clear that only those would be playable at the begining, because they cant support every army so fast.but lore and game would advance introducing the other armys as history evolve. pretty different to dont get anything never. even on future, only a legacy pdf and thats all. and legacy rules in aos( the one fantasy armys got) didnt even had points for everything. and they clearly said that those rules were made only to be able "to test the game" not in order to be able to play.

i dont get it. it is like if GW would want to kill oldworld even before his launch. if legacy armyes really dont get anything, no rules, no support, no lore, im starting to think they wont even have points, they will be as well as deleted. and that will kill the game 100% , absolutly any comunity group actually playing any edittion of fantasy will come over to tow wen they see half of theyr players wont be able to play unless they buy a new army. and they was going to be the mayor part of tow playerbase. and new players will be rare since it will be a game with too low factions there, and really old sculps, with metal and resin. i was sooo hypee for being able to play fantasy finally with my new lizardmens sculp.... and like always gw did his typical ****** move, dropping the bomb only some hours before the release of the game, because they havent have 5 years to say upfront that half of the armyes will be dead and unplayable in the game. so none would buy new minis in order to be ready for the launch.

lol yes, im agree totally on killing being nedded to win, actual aos system is totally silly, where most of time u dont even need to fight, only have to argue with ur oponnent what would happen in several turns to see the winner. since we dont hardly need to do any fight to win a WAR. im ok with objetives being there etc, but 50-75% of the game points should be done by killing, not standing on a objetive, running, being outside ur deployment, standing in a table side etc etc doing nothing. but. that step up change is infuriating, how in the hell are my saurus armyes supossed to fight now??? being the lowest initiative units in game and closse to slowest, they will fight always last ( like we always did) but now we wont be able to fight back since whole front row will be dead always...... sure lizardmen as global could be even better now, since magic seems as strong as always. shoting seems better and monster seems way better. using skinks. dinosaurs and frog can be great but... i really like to use my slow saurus units. and they seems totally useles with previewd rules 🤔

would be sooo mad to see a water dragon for lumineth while my poor idoneths only got the mandatory 3.0 foot hero in his like ¿6 years life? always dreamt to see a giant sea serpent/dragon for my water elves. but i always loved lumineth too, was a shame they were released after idoneth, if they get a dragon.... ill swap my poor idk for them instantly

yes im really curious about that too as seraphon player. i know there are lot of weird old players that loves the old models, and the uglier and bad sculped they be, they are merrier lol but im sure even those guys cant deny noone will buy the 20 years old saurus, kroxigors, cold ones etc etc over the gorgeus new ones. selling both lanes would be an absolutly huge mistake by gw, wasting storage space and time on that. and i dont get why would they do that, they dont sell old versions of miniatures, so why should do it now? i understand it on aosed models but not on those models loyal to old sculps like seraphon range per example

that box is absolutly insane..... even not wanting to buy those armys im sooo tempted to get it. i hope the price will be around 200€ mark, no chance it being lower. if they release same box on high elfs/ woododelfs.... ill get 2 of each for sure

well when i payed to 40k like 4-5 years ago. i remember the same case of big wagh with ynnari and the different eldar, dark eldar etc souped there. and every faction got several nerfs only because those units used on ynnari where op. despite the individual factions being ok. and on next tome the soup rule got totally nerfed to the ground. sooo i guess gw will do the same here. nerfing every overperforming units (big bird mage and the new crazy non armored orcs) and on next tome kill or nerf the soup rules

if im not wrong idk tome says mathlan was alive in aos, he was killed at the beggining for slanesh. not in fantasy.

yes, my fears were true and this battleforce is absolute worst one possible. armybox always have HUGE discounts, much more than battleforces. and armybox is avaliable in lot in stores so... who will buy this battleforce?? new players will get armybox while avaliabe since it will have higher disscount and tome with cards etc, old players allready got the box so?? they could have put literally any unit in box and it would have been far better. not counting it has 2/3 units of the vanguard box.... and 2 units of the recent armybox... i dont know what is gw sniffing to make this absurded battleforce. including a big model that absolutly noone will want more than 1, that was inside the armybox released some months prior. im soooo annoyed right now. so sorry for my language

no, in fact skinks are 35€ only for 24, so 32 skinks should be cloose to 50€. of course skinks are really ancient sculps with 2-3 pieces only. but there is a slight chance those 32s units be 50€ making doing a full oldworld army so much easier than getting 2k in aos new models

32 archers for same price as 5 tiny elfs like lumineths hammerers or swordmasters??? that would be way too cheap skinks are fantasy models, more horde than bretonians, and even older, and they cost around 40€ for 24 if im not wrong. so i would expect units of 32 models being in 60€ range, and that would be way too cheap allready for gw standars. if they release every oldworld troop units in 32s for 50€ i would do a count as lumineth army easily for 120€ or so after discounts in high elf troops.

daam another book, with several orders armys aand my fishes and dinosaurs keep being ignored... im afraid my 2 factions will be among the few skipped factions on this narrative and boxes still had hope for a gor rok, chakax or skink priest release so they were deleted on new book. and a idk hero on eel minimun im really sad on oldworld news too, if. even the posterboy faction only got 1 new/redone unit and like 5-6 resins heros, what will other factions get? 1-2 resin heros at best im sure. i was hoping for at least 2-3 redone units for both posterboys factions, and 1 unit and 2-3 heros on every other faction

hmmm literally the same as seraphon army box only with 1 kroxigor unit added?? since the army box is still in lot of stores that battleforce wouldnt make any sense. new guys would grab army box because it has higher disscount and book with goodies, old players allready has every model there, noone will grab it only for kroxis, we have the vanguard box for that. and it has 2/3 of vanguards units also in the box?? ill be so sad if this is true, since i only bough armybox of new models, waitting for vanguard and battleforce, and both will be a total dissapoint so ill have to grab spawn,kroxis,agradons and heros outside any discount box.

i would say a tyrion versus malerion box would be way more epic than a skaven launch box. but you are righ a hamster launch box would be really nice ( even better if they are assasin hamsters instead weird deformed chaos rats)

yes that bad, but at least you can play 4 of them if you want, despite being a joke list only. it would be the same as sn idk one with turtle. but thats ok, they are bad models since are very expensive without any desire to use more than 1, but at least can be used. never saw a unique one, and hope to dont see it never. things like teclis, nagash, kroak, katakros etc on aos, i agree box are also for grabbing new players, but they are for old players too, so why would gw do such a bad move? making the box auto non buy for actual players? instead making a box like the one i said, being good for both groups and getting double units bought 40k can go away with that since they sadly has a much bigger player base than aos, so boxes will sold out even if they are only for a fraction of playerbase, but aos shouldt do that.

why is everyone hoping for kroak in box????? im sure those guys are the one who havent a kroak. like a seraphon player who has kroak, i would be really pissed if gw make a trash move including him in the box. noone ever had a named unique big model in a box before. kairos has an alternative build, lauka has alternative, mortachs has 3 builds, but if im not wrong i dont remember any big model (90+ €) with a single build, unique character being in one. and really hope they dont include him only on my army turn on a battleforce since it would be an auto non buy box, for me and for every seraphon player that allready has him, since a second kroak has totally 0 use, making the box price even higher than individual models excluding kroak. in fact i hope it dont have slann neither since he isnt unique, but is expensive and 99% useless beyond first one, and allready was on previous box. a nice and balanced box would be something like -x1 or x2 kroxigors. -x1 or x2 agradons ( kroxis and agradons would be 3 in total, so 1 of one and 2 of the other) -x1 saurus warriors since they are the battleline, with an amazing new resculp -x1 spawn of sotek - hero on agradon or astrolith or skink on chair. would make the usual ratio of 1 troop, 1 big size or cavalry unit with 2 units of one of them, 1 single model unit alone and 1 small-medium hero. or they could take out 1 unit and make it worse, like some of last year being only 4units and 2 heros

yes, i dont know where those claims about serahon avoiding the bullets comes from, in reality they were the most heavy hit of those changes. seraphon is a reeally bad written book as i allready claimed on a first glimpse of book, full of totally useless and non sense rules, with everything absurdy overcosted and way too low dmg. but kroak and starborn mortal bomb is cloose to be op. everyone hates seraphon for no reason, and kroak gameplay sucks i hate play that as seraphon and playing against, but isnt op for sure. actual numbers are something like under 38% winrate for coalesced side. around 52% for kroak lists and like 65% to incarnate kroak list. and last one was totally deleted this update. leaving actual kroak list balanced, and every other list still unplayable. i hoped for bigger nerfs to kroak( despite him being balanced, but since his gameplay sucks, go ahead and nerf him to make haters happy) but also big coalesced buffs, rules change not only huge points decreases you can read about seraphon situation here, they say mostly the same, isnt only me https://woehammer.com/2023/09/14/tome-talks-seraphon/?amp=1 and yes, dont understand this update, they deleted kroak incarnate combo, vampire blizzard exploit, and inmortis spam build. but dont actually changed much. vampires will remain strong( despite worse than now), idoneth skaven and stormcast will remain on lowest-mid posittions. seraphons will only use same list without any change only droping incarnate, and bonereapers will free reignt unstopables since they wasn really hit while the others top armyes got hit. khorne will go up too for sure.

ooor 4th could be seraphons versus skavens. with seraphon side full of kroxigors and new kroxigors heros!!!!! big minis and easy to paint in tabletop levels( really hard to pro paint then tho).

hmmmm why seraphon box is 15 euros more expensive than std and cities despite having mostly the same??? ( it has 7€ more than std one but cost 15 higher for whatever reason) on ironjaws side, i would be really sad as ironjaws player. minis seems great yes. but.... they are new brutes, not ardboys. they are supossed to be a different unit. now they redid an old but different unit into a great locking unit but totally like the other minis on the range. ill call them the new fireslayers, where everyplace you see in the table only see same brute, brute sligthy different, brute on pig or brute on fat dragon.... they should have be redone with a different design that brutes despite being same orcs

""The Idoneth Deepkin appear to struggle with damage output against particularly tough armies"" it cant be possible, sky is falling. gw aknowledged idoneths have a problem!!!! only took them 1+ year being always 37-50% haha i guess we will get some points updates that wont be enough to take anything new to the list, making it worthless, like last points decreases. or maybe gw be extra crazy and fix some core problems, like auras only affecting expecific units, only in melee. excluding mounts, only on the 5th day of the 7th month on an expecific hour if 3 planets are in sincro!! , and make them afect erything for x units , or even with 0 restrictions, like every other tome has. Or tank eels being able to inprove his armorsave. Or mortal ability of morsar being on every charge, not once per game. Or giving us a propper fight first rule like elfs always had in warhammer. lumineths can pick 2 units on every activation, cities elves atack first for having a elf hero cloose giving an order, maybe idoneth atack first when they charge? only works in idoneth turn, making it pretty balanced i think

in fact i think the vanguard box is reaaally bad. moneywise is among worst one, only idoneth one is worst i think. and modelwise too. having an old kit that has been on the start collecting for last 6-7 years isnt very exciting. i was sure box would be saurus+agradons+kroxis+ small hero like astrolyth. making it so much better in every aspect. well.... still have hope for a decent battleforce in cristhmas
