  1. I'm counting the shots because it's the list im bringing. I don't really have IDK meta where I live so I'm not worried it's more seraphon and DoT. Last time I went it was a a one day tournament I got placed 2nd with this gimmick list. I won vs seraphon (kroak + 5 bodies warriors that take the dmg, he had the 2x bastilladons and everything takes one less dmg) I still managed to take out kroak t1) Another game was changehost board control, lots of pinks, screamers, LoC. Both 1 drop, he took t1 took 4/6 objectives. I dropped down t1 killed LoC and one more hero. I get double all heroes dead and it was game. The game I lost was vs 6" pile DoK with a prime. That game I was to aggressive and needed a double, If I got it I would have placed 1st. The +0 dispell is about what you can choose when you can take 4 artefacts.
  2. Yep i totally get that, im just comparing when only having one unit of 9x longstrikes with no batallion. The damage output compared to 9x with the vanguard, its 100% more shots. Say in the best worlds you have including t1 24" you have a total of 90 shots during 5 turns if alive. And in vanguard you have 180 shots. If he gives t1 and i choose to be passive not dropping down, and i aim for the double t2-t3 i have lost 36 shots so i am down to 144 shots but they are alive, and i have another shot at the double. Instead of risking getting double t1-t2. (Im only comparing what they do in shooting damange and not adding in evocators or whatever in the non vanguard but you get the idea) That is where my headspace is right now, aim for a double either t1 to t2 or t2 to t3. (probably needs to move up some units just to grab early points ofc but try minimize dmg) Pinks might be troublesome with 50 wounds but as long as the flamers die first, LoC after that, then picking out the other characters. I can totally understand why the incantor is in there for the dispell, but hey i do have a spellshield right?
  3. Yes i think i can get 6/12 killed in a turn atleast, rest is bonus. Yes the starfated arrows can be really good. Qustion is about the t1 if its better to try give t1, have all units outside 27" from flamers. Keep like 3x longstrikes, 1x venator, 1 aetheriwings and last maybe a unit of hunters. When my turn i can try drop longstrikes, fly/drop a venator so they can double tap turn after. The palladors could if needed run 9d6 towards the longstrikes to become a chaff since aetherwings can stop charges but they dont always cover everywhere. (Though i like running 9d6 at a soft corner and then coming in with 5 hunters aswell when people are not expecting it) I think in the best worlds is to give t1 and go for the double, if it take/gets t1 even if i kill 6-7 flamers its still 50% power left, plus the exalted as shooting power. And if LoC is not dead he can move up t1 within spell range, gets the double and they will be enough to kill longstrikes (thats what i belive anyway) And if i hide units and keep stuff in the air, i can then see where he moves t1, look for weaknesses where i can drop down. Take out as many flamers as possible, fingers crossed for a double and then more stuff is dead.

LoC spell portal and the ranged theat that has like -1 hit vs shooting. To me the LoC feels like bait, it's good to kill but I need to get the flamers. I assume we both roll 50/50 who gets to deploy first. If I win I probably want to give it, to avoid a double turn. But I wonder how to do if I need to go first, been considering playing passive and deploy longstikes t2 and try aim for a double? Stay outside LoCs 18" but remember portal. Watch out for 27" flamer treat. Thoughts, tips?
  5. 2nd bat taking objectives, what bat would that be? Don't you need a vexilor to teleport gavriel to get the bonus? How high drops and what list do you have in mind for it to work? ๐Ÿ˜š
  6. As mentioned in the video you had options in select some heroes. You can easily just take a vexilor and stop worrying. ๐Ÿ‘
  7. Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜š The general idea is some textured base paste/paint either with colour or just whatever you have at home. Rhinox hide base, drybrush mournfang, drybrush xv-88, agrax wash done. Its such a nice brand the "base craft autumn scatter" glue with pva. But I would recommend add like a 50/50 water/pva after its dry over the scatter to keep it in place. Same with the leaves (greenstuff leaf punch) Then tuffs geen/yellow/red/orange (autumn) Rim mournfang brown. Matt varnish. Then add what you want, roots, skulls, bushes, uv-resin.
  8. Either way I'm hyped that my idea will come true. I have soon 2k vanguard fully painted and already 2500 pts of meele units painted as mt stonecast. Been wanting to have som CoS whatever unit and transforming with a blue glow toward stone. Like different stages of normal cloth into stone and a converted general looking as a medusa ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Here is some of my recent painted stonecast and you can find more pictures on my Instagram @hedbergs_painting.

  16. Going to a team tournament tomorrow, 4 man teams. 5 games starting on saturday. Going with my underguts idk what i will get drafted against, there are some really strong lists there but I feel confident in my list. I have chaff, ~ 200wounds, got some pressure from shooting, got some flanking/steal objectives/block hunter+sabres.   18. Idk its a cool model and have some good stuff going, but maybe there is other stuff that is better. Well to me the marauders seem to be the hidden gem with all stuff going around. MoN buffs, buffs from sorcerer, the rend fight in 2 ranks, Warshrine.. Has a high chance of getting in the charge, you have the teleport and to have that threat, to me seems pretty strong. So if we take cabalist/ravagers/despoilers Whats the more strong key units/relics/thoughts? Worth having a battalion or not?

  21. So guys what do we have now for StD? What juicy shenanigans have you tried out or seen? Really big book, can take in other units from other books to buff&synergize stuff. For me i feel i am all about the despoilers probably nurgle. This is what i have been thinking about for my project to build, but im open for other suggestions tips/trix, mix/swap/remove units. Despoliers DP - MoN Harbringer of Decay Chaos Sorcerer Lord - MoN (Teleport spell) Chaos Sorcerer Lord on Manticore - MoN (Whispers of chaos/Binding Damnation) 15 Chaos Warriors, Shield/HW - MoN 40 Marauders, Shield - MoN or 15 Chaos Warriors, Shield/HW - MoN 40 Marauders, Shield - MoN Chaos Warshriune - MoN No idea how good it is but its around 1810 points atm. Would love the Plague touch warband... Things i am wondering/exited about Nurgle Strong for DPs, but how many and do you really need them? Worth getting a low drop army with "Battaltion - Plagetouched Warband" If so what would synergize it? Is it worth taking a khorne DP or Be'lakor? Other Chariots? Khorne?
  22. How about you just buy some ebay/alien express bases or just borrow some bases. Put on some whatever models and play it as a stardrake/stardrakes? Just play vs a mate and tell him/her that you want to try some stuff out to make sure you want to buy the model/models. Or just try roll some dice vs yourself or use a program online. There are several ways to improve the gavbomb but that is up to your flavor. First thing first cleansing phalax is really expensive now. People know gavbomb and can use chaff and other screens to protect the important stuff. So they will most likely screen up and give you first turn. So you cant charge in to that, like they want. Here we have some options. Take objectives, hide important heroes and save another CP for the stacking and that will give you 100% charge or save it to revive a big unit of sequitors. Could have a unit of raptors with Xbows teleport them with vexilor/relictor (does not count as move and unleash a high amount of shots to try kill chaff and then you can go in with your bomb. Add in prosecutors with fast movement and 18" reach to pick chaff. You can atm have organ gun/cannons with a smith as allies. You can have a big unit of 10-15 evocators in the backfield, buffing up with celestial blades, +1 armor castellant, use a relictor teleport or have a vexilor. Drop end of turn, teleport the ultrabuffed evocators. have a +6" rerollable charge. And if you have a azyros as general you can leave a 40mm base in the middle of the evocators so you have a 9" 6++ bubble, and dont forget the rr1s. (Also when using teleports or coming from the sky you have the -1 hit) There are ways to make gavbomb work, but its up to you if you want a flexible list. Or you go all out on one list and then learn it to the max and know its weaknesses and pros.

  24. Been working on my 2k army and i am slowly getting ready (need like 3 more models built and painted) I have no idea how strong it will be but the thought behind it is to try maxize some units. The IBs can get double shots, rr1s from endless, bonus dmg vs heroes/monsters. Also have the charge spell, its an easy to cast and 18" range. Idea if needed is to have a screen, move slowly forwards every turn and later if the spell goes off go in for the kill and count as monsters on the charge. Goremand is chosen so i can try fish for the +ยด1 hit two times for the big unit of gluttons. Idk about pallisade, very situational but it was 30pts left to use something for.   25. Sure I can ask things there. But because it's the biggest doesn't mean it is the best either. However easiest to do is just ask the TO at the tournament you are going to and play by the rules.
