In the Grombrindal book for aos he is an avatar created by Grungi to work with fyreslayers, dispossesed and kharadron overlords. It's clearly stated Grungi has caused to much pain to the dwarfs and so Grombrindal is his avatar in the mortal realms much like gotrek. Grombrindal is even in a couple aos gotrek stories the second realm one and a short story although in the former his identity is not revealed its only in the later short story the old dwarf who dissapeared in the tower is confirmed to be grombrindal when he keeps up with gotreks fighting prowess.

I think warcry is going the way of kill team also. It will be a way for them to introduce niche elite units and redisgn existing ones without a full faction refresh. I purchased the gorger/wildercorps box as I have use in a current army and a future cities project, but going forward will be a lot more cautious on purchasing specialist games as they have the highest likelyness of being squatted. It's sad I have nearly all the warcry warbands except corvus cabal. With the darkoath box was planning a massive mortal/cultist army but suppose that will purely be a building a painting project now. I use to buy underworlds till a year or two ago when the price increase became to much to justify for the models. If they have a cool stand in model for an existing unit like the new necromancer then I consider it. But I think this is the most indanger specialist game for aos. They always seemed like they were testing out new sculpts for the future, but £26 for for four push fit models with bad rules normally is a bit much. Fyreslayers were my first main army after I bought soul wars, the only unit I am missing is the warcry warband and the new hero that was in dawnbringers. As I don't feel they do to much for the Army, I think eventually we'll get a fec equivelant update another unit like a squad of kynefroths and some cavalry then I would purschase them. Funnily enough my second army was ogor mawtribes this has the opposite problem in my eyes, heros and synergy because the beastclaw raiders and gluttons were seperate they don't gel to well in lists, I haven't played much of third once when it first came out so can't say to much of the current meta. But I think they need an ironjawz treatments and get a couple cool sub heros. I think the fact bonesplittez are gone leaves the destruction faction a bit bare and as they are not a core old world force I don't think they'll be squatted any time soon. If anything I hope they go more down the pirate/mercenary route with their designs. I think the purge of 2024 has a lot of people shook, rightly so. Some will leave the hobby others will find an alternate game mode/army. GW will bury their heads and hope 4 edition starter will make everyone forget I am personally not the biggest fan of the new thunderstrike liberators the shown helm is a bit meh. I think the bloat was real the only reason spacemarines were kept for so long before legened was because they made a lot more money than sacrosanct. I love sacrosanct, I have a sons of mallus army I doubt I'll buy into thunderstrike but we'll see how tasty the starter is.

I thought they missed the boat with a ragged FEC templar warband vs slaaneshi hassasins, But would be cool if its an OBR Nagashi templar warband who basically function as the order of azry but for death vs slaaneshi hassassins. Will get my assasin creed warband lol

If I remember correctly skaven did skaveny things to hamlicar bear-eater trying to unlock the secrets to stormcast so much that other stormcast felt disgusted by him. But did they learn secrets? In some of the older lore it states malerion helped him craft that training arena and knows a dirty secret about the stormcast. definitely seemed skaveny though as much as I want the malerion hype train running. Either way loved the trailer can't wait to see what it leads to. With the fall of anvilguard we do know they are willing to kill off a city, albeit a minorish one.

I will be very suprised if next edition isn't in ulgu, skaven invasion or something. Freeing of slaanesh stirs malerion to rise and in the burnt out ashes the dawi-zharr unleash their legions on the beaten up realm. Because in noble dark realms there is only ur-gold to be collected.

As my main army is fyreslayers I appreciate the new monster model is what happens if you don't keep your oath, even if misguided. Although when a slayer can't keep their oath to perish in battle they become the avatar of grimnir (finally just finished all the slayer novels) so nice. I'm sad to hear the potential squatting of boc in aos. Although, I assume these darkoath models are replacing the tradition marauder models? When I first saw the ogroids I thought they'd eventually replace boc as their own faction. I mean kragnos screamed boc and all could of lined up. But if they get a refresh similar to this... I'm trying to be good as I have a massive pile of potential (shame) but as I have all the warcry warbands I might be tempted. Was awaiting to see the khorne forces but see what the full line up will be. I just hope fyreslayers get cavalry like slayers riding smaller magmadroths seeing the kynedroth in the warband gives me hope. Fec had a warband with smaller beasts in it a few months before their refresh so hopefully positive about the direction of the hobby.

COS Spearhead looks tasty, was going to hold off to see what the xmas battleforce looked like this year but got mostly everything I need in it, cannon, Marshall on horse and more of those beautiful cavaliers. Do we know any prices on spearhead yet as they are just sc boxes again aren't they? I imagine about £65-70? Not including Third party discounts?

Hi sorry if this has been covered, I note gw says temporarily out of stock on the brettonian core starter set rather than no longer in stock or no longer available. Does anyone know if they are going to release another wave, I missed the first round went to quickly while I was otherwise engaged, and I ain't paying those dirty scalpers prices.
