  1. Tempest Lords might be fun. With a lot of CP generation you can use the CA on multiple Dracoth units to re-roll wounds of 1 increasing the likliehood of Intolerable Damage occurring. Hardly profound but it’s not risky either.
  2. Khorne tends to be an easy match up in my experience, lots of natural advantages vs Chaos and Khorne tends to lack much in the way of usual SC counters like lots of MW, high rend or massive numbers. What are you taking that you’re dying so quick?
  3. Only has 1 Battline, the Judicators. If you took a Lord Aquilor you could take the two hunters as Battleline as well. If you go back a few pages you’ll see there’s a very powerful Shooting List doing the Rounds using the Anvils Stormhost. Your list is fine but it lacks focus, it’s pretty all over the place. SC are about getting more than the sum of an army’s parts and this definitely isn’t that. But it would be fun to play with, lots going on with it!
  4. Dude it’s not advisable to come in here with zero reputation and tell people who have demonstrated over hundreds of posts that they know what they’re talking about that you know better than them. I mean say what you want, but don’t expect anyone to listen to you if you dont listen to others.
  5. The CA of a Stormhost specifies who can use it. In most instances it’s a General within 18” of the area/unit of effect or 6-12” for any other Hero. They must belong to the Host the CA is from to use it. Most (I think all at present) Unique Units, by which I assume you mean specific individuals or regiments different to their rank and file counterparts are Hammers of Sigmar, with the exception of the Celestant Prime, so would not be able to use any Stormhost abilities besides Hammers as all Stormhost CA’s specify they need to be activated by a Hero from the same Host the Ability pertains to. Celestant Prime is not from Hammers so would fit the Hero/General requirements of the Command Ability of any Host you chose.
  6. I *might* have used it before actually, ahem. Deployed everyone on the table at the start, shot at enemy so they had to come to me, counter charged with Celestial Vindicators Sequitors and used CP against the Hardest Unit, opponent was tabled by my turn 3. Lost like 3 guys. Felt bad. Re-rolling 2 x 3+ wounding on 3’s rend-1 attacks plus extra damage for Great Maces without any need for synergy or CP’s, not much can deal with that at 1000 points.
  7. Far superior to my suggestions! I bow to your deviousness
  8. Especially given how incredible the Drukhari range is, Eldar need some love
  9. No you’re quite right, I went off at the deep end! Not made a 1000 point list for a while! In which case Swap 2 Ballistae and Heraldor for Lord Arcanum and another 5 Sequitors, I still think that’s going to be a great all-comers list. The most outrageous OP (and legal! Ahem) 1000 points option is probably lots of Dracoths with minimal Liberator Battleline. Something like Celestial Vindicators to give them extra attacks with re-roll 1 on the charge, not much going to be left after that.
  10. Against an army who can summon or even just someone with a good number of regiments you’re going to lose every time in objective scenarios and you can’t even compete in the Hero Objective one. You’d have to be against a bad opponent to not just get totally outmanoeuvred because you have no way of getting into favourable combat easily, which is Evocators biggest issue in particular Shoot heavy anvils I reckon Lord Ordinator Knight Heraldor 4 x Ballistae 3 x 5 Sequitors Ballistae target most dangerous stuff per turn with LO Buff Knight Heraldor to finish off small units and Heroes with Horn and facilitate counter charges One Sequitor to Shield Ballistae, 2 to hold Objectives. 5 Sequitors at 100 points are going to be stalwart against most things and you just kill the stuff that would be an issue to them otherwise beforehand. Just deploy far back as possible, pick stuff off at a distance then massacre as they close in.
  11. These 3 new Idoneth Endless Spells are weird
  12. You can learn things from anyone at any level in anything. In any field, the best are universally the best because they’re always looking to improve their mastery of their craft. And if someone else is repeatedly placing higher than you in tournaments etc they patently understand the game better than you do, or there is something faulty in your understanding of how it is played or how armies work which is keeping you from reaching their level, but the result is the same and you should listen to them if you want to improve.
  13. Just make some stuff up/wish list and we’ll be back on track
  14. Sculpting every human model there is as Caucasian dosent help though. And yes there is more to ethnicity than what colour their skin is. 99% of GW’s human models have straight hair as a starter for ten. The Game is also played by people, people who exist in the real world, who are not orcs, or Elves, but people, people whose culture and race are important to them and who like to see their culture and ethnicity respected in the idea of what humanity is in the multi facaets in which it is represented. Fantasy is the *best* place to have multiple representations of gender and ethnicity precisely because those things are not tied to the baggage of real world problems in the same way . Look at something like Black Panther for example.
  15. I believe it’s a well written hype piece
  16. They didn’t. They were mentioned in a roundabout way relating to the narrative of Soul Wars. They didn’t say a Slaanesh army will be released. I’m expecting a few models maybe, probably a character or some such, but I really doubt they will be here til very end of year, unless they’re just getting a redux ala FEC-Book, spells, nothing else. Which I sincerely doubt. They’re too central to the narrative of AOS to just get a functional update.
  17. Vandus Battleshock Immunity is free, it’s just a passive. He’s pretty good in a fight too, I think probably the best “fighty” SC Hero there is. Up to 7 Damage 3 attacks on his own if you use his CA. If you get lucky with Intolerable damage he can wipe big monsters or small elite units like Kurnoths.
  18. Blow up a flank seems ambitious. 9” within the caster your opponent would really have be squeezing them in to get more than 2 units, and it’s max D3 per unit . You don’t need to spend 300 points to do 3 wounds to 2 units which is pretty much best case scenario and it’s a weird situation where that few wounds would even begin to blow up a flank. Discounting that his CA for Hammers is amazing. If you took him and Vandus and planned it properly you would have Fulminators and Dracoths with 4 attacks each wounding on 2’s.
  19. Can’t have Staunch unless he’s not taking Hammers, in which case Aventis seems a waste
  20. Was being tounge in cheek. Whenever anyone said SC it’s always been “no no SC they said it on Facebook” As I said from the start, of course there will be new SC. Not a new chamber maybe but new SC absolutely. SC are one of the pivotal Soul Wars protagonists and AOS in general. Big events are going to have then involved whether people like it or not.
  21. Can’t be true, they said on Facebook no Stormcast etc
  22. Yeah I’m with you on this. GW are excellent at converting lore into mechanics-often to the detriment of “balance”-because their aim is to simulate the character of armies. But this is as you say just a wrote copy of magic. They could have thought of a better way to simulate the “judgement” of Khorne and surely it would involve something close and personal not a cowardly debuff from afar. It’s not Khornate at all.
  23. I think people are being far too literal in that. It’s quite possible that there will be new SC without it being an entire chamber. The SC are pivotal to the narrative of AOS whether people like it or not. They are prime candidates for new stuff for something like this even if it’s just something like an Ordinator again.
  24. As I thought, just a hype trail. Didn’t expect much. I really wouldn’t listen to the Facebook team as an authority, as an aside. They’ll know little more than we do.
