  1. the point is currently i feel ironweld feels more shooting focused resource gatherer/ supplier army where any order faction might want to allegiance with and your fluff gives enough open back door to turn this army in to chaos supporting one as half of the core fluff only requires duradin of some kind to work to change it into chaos ironweld army. you just need to change core duradin focus to a legion of azgoth and voi the f ing la you have same order army now works as chaos based faction with no legitimate reason to break fluff
  2. okay, weld guard kinda solves every faction gets guns issue but still, fluff can be tightened a bit more to ensure we don't have great alliance iron weld on next years generals handbook giving morharti chaos marauders for cheep cheep price of putting cog fort in your army.
  3. well tomb kings will be good for few of us but the main problem is then how neferrata gonna act as she is gone the deep end just to stop her blood kiss and know she embraced it Houston we have a fluff problem here.
  4. okay i can understand the survive the dark times via our own power aesthetic but we are bit too flexible in fluff as we can easily exchange common duradin with a legion of azgoth folks and as far as chaoses focus on destruction and primal balance we have a kinda unique army who can turn giant forge cities for any god as Khorne can gladly have few fallen cog forts to fight against Sigmar and others I can see archeon trying to conquer a cog fort to use against heavy resistance. as Nurgle war often brew best diseases and cog forts can be used in a chemical bombardment on the battlefield. as someone like nagash, the never-ending armies of metallic monsters is a perfect hammer against his conquest against life. which means you might need to write few more houses to let every faction access tech-based human faction or make sure fluff have good explanation on why we don't have chaos cogforts clashing with your folks maybe as a final act of defiance nobles chooses to destroy the cog fort completely to keep others from developing their versions.
  5. well midnight city and house morgash feels like they need death and destruction keywords to legitimize their grim dark creations as midnight city feels like nice sub-faction to put Frankenstein monsters in there and midnight city just gave them good excuse to pull it steam-powered cyborgs that can return from dead multiple times yes please i can see bone daddy nagash smiling from here as sweet terror that type of army gonna release will be worth the patronage nagash gives. damn, it @Melcavuk you are trying to make order army not a general army for every faction. currently, ironweld arsenal plays the unique role where you can have ironweld daemon smiths or ironweld necrotech just by modifying fluff a bit you tzeenchian ******. I feel proud to help you in this project since this is the first faction can play multiple alliance from different grand alliances as single might be op army.

  7. or scouting for next big toys for all armies since each faction can use a mechanic like gnawholes or siege class magic this means there are a lot of new toys releasing in this year.
  8. well whole gutbuster tome would be to left field to release right around this time and as Rpg player, his bluff checks get really ridiculous around last few posts as one month to book and they gonna release 200 new models. I mean there are bluffs and there is baiting someone and turning them into fools sorry @Ndabreaker but last few pages feel like baiting for me. I can get behind dispossed tome but numbers feel like to bid for current schedule.
  9. well, seraphon getting new tome is good as they are a good faction to read and maybe a few new toys can actually help their grand plan going.
  10. @Melcavuk looks like we need a bit more of fluff to peg our caster dilemma but can we use Warhammer total war style opening to books as lots of time it feels line not genuine battle tome writing style in the introduction. By the way, templar feels too much going on in his abilities valve lance is a good idea but the whole of boosting laborers feels like not this guys job he meant to go in front kicking asses and taking names then rallying troops to push harder not I act as a spotter to a bunch of laborers cannons I say keep weld heraldy but ditch steam lanterns. we might need a separate unit for spotter/ advance scout role.
  11. well after I left looks like we are having nice lore for ironweld but having aelven gods and duradin gods having clash turns ironweld into two factions one where true artistic elite who want to go for aelven aesthetics while common troops and cog cities focus on druadin aesthetic but the whole lets sacrifice wizards to power our machines feels scary enough yet it gives unique opportunity for spellcasters. how about using captured wizards as our casters just augmented with steam and rune based collars/control rigs forcing them to use their lists to aid ironweld. another idea is some of the Baltasar gelts boys survived the end of the world and know helping ironweld to get revenge for gelts transformation. this hero mage can introduce fourth sub-faction in ironweld where artificers(spellcasters) or ironweld can go go
  12. well, it might be vampires or my goto pick dark aelves since we are looking at the iconic vampire cape pose.
  13. well the picture feels like dragon wing and this makes malerions aelves good as confirmed plus we are getting near to wrath and rapture and flesh eater courts kinda accidentally confirmed there are multiple armies gonna be released in the same batch. thus malerion releasing hounds to keep slaneesh in check is kinda perfect simultaneous release which wets everyone's appetite same time and boosts the sales sky high.
  14. well, I think they can work as beast class units as long as we don't turn them to troop carriers. I don't think we have rules for troop carriers and let's not forget we still need units with the fly keyword.
  15. Runes can work so we have forgethenes work as caster unit. Know we are talking for complete army. While robber barons can work as inside faction enemy as normal nobility keeps factories working to keep forge citys safe while robber barons discard uselesd units ala beasts of chaos. Maybe robber barons can declare units to suicide bomb while nobels use advence tactics to keeps combat machine working
  16. that leaves the casters part and the endless spells. we can use spotters for few magic style actions like directed bombardment or requesting supply drop to boost the damage of units like gunnery sergeant from vampire coast. but the new tomes still feel like don't solve big problems as we still focus on shooting and bunkering down on the corner of the map until we get morale win or lose the battle. how about a unit like tree revenants to act as honor guard or tough hammer allow ironweld to push objectives as besides the Templars and lancers we need a few close combat forces capable to push to the objective while bunkered forces act as support / via indirect fire. this way when we need object secure templars and revenants left the main army to get into the goal early then main bulk of the forces reach and bunker in until we get the win.
  17. while all shooty ironweld are kinda good but current lore get too many benefits from creating an iron wall of shields then hunker down as there is no benefit to rush to objective unless its already in advantageous position. and we don't have a solid strike unit to help phalanx to keep safe by attacking foes got past the spears.
  18. well, the slaves of darkness/ darkoath team lead by caster chick and I can't find her battle tome come on just release the damn tome so I can build my first army already choose her replacement model.

  20. what I mean from space marine was dudes in bigger armor then most skitari/ ironweld units like veterans of battles to injured to work with regular prosthetics or guys specializing much heavier combat frame and use heavier weapons than regular ironweld utilize as the comment for how you can have sword-wielding ironweld skitari basically have their own swords thus only new paint scheme needed to add them. and I am sorry for the previous post I just extrapolated from what you wrote this. I just mention the similarities between the ironweld and skitari in the text and I do believe skitari models can be a substitute as ironweld arsenal troops with a bit of background excuse by changing forge world to forge cities.
  21. are we talking ironweld arsenal or age of waagmar edition of Adeptus mechanicus with a dash of Astartes thrown in as side flavoring as most of your army generally contains skitari troops converted to the age of Sigmar with occasional space marine thrown in as a heavy hitter with devastator marines and imperial knights acting as siege/ behemoth units.
  22. well, a battle tome for Tolkien's duradin is kinda good as that means oath gold gonna be returning. this leaves legion of azgoth and their variant of the realm gold remaining and man I really like to know how duradin menage to separate gold in such different forms.
  23. well, new endless spells are always good but a bit of lore nerd I really want to get my paws of grots book as this is the third major faction of destruction. But I really want to know what is the name of that damn darkoath casters name since the only one I am gonna be replacing in my army is her. also, new Slaanesh units mean it might be lust aelves idea of mine maybe real down the line.
  24. well congrats on all people force moonclan grots release looks like destruction might be fleshed enough to grab new players to bad we have conceptual failures like iron jaws( well they managed steal bit of sigmarite power but hey its waag hammers problem).
