  1. Well Warcry warbands are for warcry the game first and foremost. Warbands have to be design for each individual model to serve a role in the game but they don’t translate well as standard unit in AoS. Chameleon Skink are the onky warband that every replace a unit from warcry to AoS but it only worked because CHam Skinks are a Specialist unit for the most part. Gorger also replace a unit but change the profile and are also a specilist unit a unit like Plague monks is like Clanrats, a standard unit with uniform design that probably should be release from AoS proper and not Warcry.
  2. Gutter runner maybe because they would fit in as a more of a specilist unit which works for Warcry but Plague monks being a more standard unit would probably not work as a warcry warband. (Given that warcry units can be discontinued at anytime now, both probably are not suited as warcry release for the long term) Of course I doubt this Skaven release will cover every unit that need to be refresh or expand each clan all at once. It probably just Masterclan/Skyre units, Moulder with Rat Ogors, and brand new units.
  3. Skaven tend to be more earthly brown or red though though Skyre unit sometimes have dark bluish green color armor that stormfiends have.
  4. I don’t know I got the feeling everyone was tired of Hammer of Sigmar. (Though that may have been because every hero character was from Hammer except few like Gardus) maybe it a good thing to explore the other Stormhost and they maybe releasing the Hallow Knight Lord Commander this time around.
  5. I feel EC will release at the end of 10th edition much like World eaters.
  6. Well maybe because Gryph Hound companions have been done a bunch a time already by Stormcast.
  7. He got bonked back into the warp by Sigmar/ Karl Franz during the End time.
  8. From what I recall from years past, an edition year is usually the most busiest for AoS and where they are trying to release their full slate on time before the edition change during the summer. Then it followed up by a 6 month lull in release and picks back up during the next year with the battletome train and a few releases. AoS 2.0 had Maggotkin, DoK, Deepkin, Malign Portent, then Soul war release with NH and SCE. AoS 3.0 had Broken realm with multitude of big character models, LRL wave 2, Soulblight gravelords, Dominion with Thunderstrike and Kruleboyz. And AoS 4.0 had the rest of the Dawnbringer books plus special character boxes, FEC release, the last minute Darkoath box, and then of course the new Boxset with more SCE and Skaven.
  9. They are a model company first and foremost.
  10. GW can also replace a dated model with a new model but that said new model may not be an exact replacement. Like Handgunner being replace with Fusiliers. It not a full squating but a softer one. of course since it’s a reboot edition, it quite possibly that they be more focus on churning out battletomes (w/ standard hero model) then big model releases at least for the beginning of this edition. (Granted in 40K, they did release a Kroot expansion for Tau so something’s may still happen)
  11. Then again they new Gaunts are package as 10 (technically 11 with the random ripper swarm)
  12. I assume the next big reveal is the full Boxset reveal in May and any small reveal will be either more SCE and Skaven models
  13. It be interesting to see if Hobgrot are expanded upon for Chaos Duradin because for the most part they are consider one of the five pillars of Kruleboyz society lorewise. in past iteration they where like the Black Orc version of Goblins but work for the Chaos dwarfs because other GS all universally hated them. Their units all basically just old Gitmob units but more Mongolian
  14. I think like Votann (the most recent Warhammer dwarf release) Chaos Duradin are probably going to be more grounded and serious but still have a central theme that sell the army. the AoSifed army would probably it own thing with maybe one or two key points from the old stuff (given their lore tibits it probably more industry heavy with daemon engines)
  15. The Monsta Killaz from Warcry has a little Grot that snatching one of the Mire drake Eggs.
  16. That probably the best way to do it though they tend to fear mixing stuff from other army from a balance perspective. Most likely that why CoS lost it to begin with because the first book abuse it too much.
  17. Tyrion side and nation is suppose to be Phoenix theme. of course I do feel that once CoS get their second wave that will be it for a long time. There often a finite amount of units you can add to an army and most non posterboy armies will just chug along with the single hero release for many editions. Armies getting constant expansion outside of marine is rare
  18. Cities of Order are like Imperium planets, they are enough of them to get Exterminatus as the plots demands them to.
  19. Oh I guess no AoS article today either
  20. Their design time is pretty length, so I wouldn’t be surprise if OrK are being work on right now to be release 3 years from now
  21. I mean the biggest thing for Kragnos is that they also design Kruleboyz to have his likeness on some of their units and it would seem like an extreme Pivot given that Kragnos and Kruleboyz thing looks planed out. of course it hard to infer when BoC where plan to be discontinued, what reason could it be, is Kragnos a herald of a Destruction Beastmen replacement army in the future given the similarity or is he destined to be forever a stand alone piece like Nagash is for GA Death.
  22. TBF I don’t think the human wave is even complete for CoS considering that their still many old Empire units that probably need to be refresh or reimagine. That probably what their second wave is going to be since that initial wave (like Lumineath and Slaanesh ) didn’t really felt complete or encompase everything.
  23. I think Warcry and Underworlds as game are safe but any of the model release like Warbands (especially Underworld ones that get range rotated often) are at risk of being discontinued given enough time pass and they keep releasing more warbands. Ogors while I don’t think they will be completely gone, it quite possible that any possible refresh (example CoS or Lumineath) can completely wipe out the existing miniature range without everything being replace 1 for 1
  24. But for AoS and Warhammer discussion GW is the most relevant part depending on what you like about the Warhammer culture
