  1. It depends on your perspective of are they trying doing better or are they just doing the bare minimum to get by on deadlines. in 40K they seem to keep making the same mistake in their codexes without learning from any of it. The stuff that made Dark elder and Ad mech agregious keeps happening in the newer sexed now in the end it probably GW doesn’t give much resource in the rule writing though and that where lot of thing feel lacking.
  2. I think because their survey show that vast people (at least in the 40K community) want them to make updates more frequent then just twice a year. I bet the most people had voted for quarterly update as the sweet spot for them. of course I think this came at a time where the entire 40K competitive community was not in a good place with Drukhari and Ad Mech having extremely high win rates. So they where probably pushing or desperate for faster updates at that point in time.
  3. Technically Ironjawz and Bonesplitterz. Beast claw raider if you count them as well. CoS, Realmlords (they got a single box though), Soulblight, Seraphon and Beastmen of the top of my head
  4. I think he mean monetary not availability, boxes are quite expensive for average consumers. and sometime I do feel it be better to release stuff individual in the first place and not wait for it months down the line but alas it business
  5. ? You know he left Black Library right?
  6. You got to realize though that 2+tough is the exception and does a niche for the AoS community. 40K YouTube have a better time doing lore videos since it a bigger audience then AoS. My thinking is with Josh Reynold and his AoS work and the somewhat lack of success in Black library. Other have said that generally only novel with Space marines do well and it harder for other stuff. It quite possibly that despite the community praising narrative and lore stuff, it doesn’t reflect on the sales. This is quite common now in the age of vocal social media.
  7. Well Adepticon panel state they have a lot of big plans for it and giving it a full cinematic trailer seem like it going bigger then just a side game. Keep in mind that Horus Heresy has it own dedicated team unlike Blood bowl which is run by specialist division which run multiple system at once. if it a big edition launch like Indomitus and Dominion, it probably going to get a lot of focus in the Summer and Fall quarter
  8. In the end it probably because being making pure narrative battletome doesn’t sell as well and that why GW put everything in one book (rules, narrative, lores, and points) . Is both maximise profit and gives as much value as they can for a physical book. let face it, majority of early access people when reviewing a book often gives a TLDR of the lore and narrative and spent most of their time deep diving into the rules. And this is because their audience and community are just more interested in that content.
  9. Well plus the new edition of Horus Heresy maybe bigger and more extensive then people are aware of, so I can definitely see that game system taking most of the tail end of summer and some of Fall with it. especially if they are trying to replace most of the generic legion Forgeworld model (there a lot of them). It possible it going to become a full fledge game system that GW proper is going to fully support now.
  10. I don’t think they where they got three big release in 2021, Orks, SoB, and Templars. They just got hit by the COVID train harder when their new edition was launch
  11. Stuff from the live panel seems to indicate that Season of War is maybe our version of the 40K Warzone books which is a separate entity from chapter approved/ GHB
  12. I think people are just jumping the gun and assuming that the next GHB is going to another realm but in reality they don’t change battleplans that much during an edition so it made more sense to stay in Ghur for a while
  13. also same wing? looks like it for a CSM unit
  14. they said something about both narrative and match play rules on the stream i believe (or it from the Adepticon presenters)
  15. Looks like they were in a rush since they had a trailer for the Awlrach
  16. i want to say ferryman saved the Preview for AoS since it was going to get dicy with just that terrain box announced
  17. SUprise, you though it was all terrain lol well at least i feel good that i inhale the more NIghthaunt Hopium train
  18. looks like special zombie, surprisingly not too frankenstein
  19. oh hey 40K bug riders they got silent people before we did lol
  20. It couldn’t hurt to have better rules (gameplay is one of the 4 pillars after all) but then GW based their whole release schedule on rule and rules book and not model in the end, so we sort of beholden to care about rule since that is sometime what our niche favorite armies sometime only ever get in a edition. GW however probably is dictated by marine posterboy sells in the end
  21. And yet here we are feeling whelm or underwhelmed about a shooting attack profile and not getting much model anyway
