keep in mind 40K had their own trailer during 9th edition too about 6 months prior to this trailer, it just that they were heavily delayed because if the lockdown during the December period. at the time AoS was in a lull in content and they probably had to put more of AoS on that trailer since they already teased many 40K models that had not been revealed yet.

I would say the Lord Arcanium is an exception since he was made for Soul Wars which is a starter box set like the Gnashtoof Killaboss is for Dominion and not a typical boxset. they haven’t put any monsterous size model in these boxset since Blightwars with Horticulous

there are some exception like the Loonboss on squig, Endrinmaster on balloon, sorcerer on disc, and Horticulus I don’t think anyone would know unless you ask GW You take your pick of community theories easy to design and reuse assets for, lower effort and they have their interns design them sometimes. Mounted hero take more effort in designing, splitting the model on the sprue, making an assembly instruction, Small Heroes are costed around the same price and they are easy to calculate the discount of the models inside when doing these boxes. Most of these small heroes are on round bases between rarely above 50mm or using oval bases.

I would assume they will announce something relevant for AoS when Adepticon happens, since it one of their bigger preview events edit: I get no one like the battletome row out train that happen in 2019 but I feel like it was going to happen after every edition launch that they will update all the army rule as soon as possible. Grant some army like Fyreslayer and Grey Knight/ Thousand sons could have probably gotten more then just their book being refresh.

I pretty sure if things where normal that the Sister of battle and Ork releases would have came out at a more reasonable time, it wasn’t like 40K didn’t have release this year, it was that GW had get Dominion out on time and had catch up on the AoS release that they couldn’t get out from the previous year because of 40K 9th edition and COVID.

IDK but he has multiple time say that he and the show doesn’t received kickbacks and early access from GW Early access to model maybe but from what I know reviewers receive them usually a week or two from actual release

yeah but we are assuming that they are not making endless spell/ Terrain anymore because both Warclan and Nurgle (two armies who don't endless spell and one does not have terrain) came out without them

FYI Vince does not believe that AoS is going to get a big release of models anytime soon (like until later next year) and that they are going to just release Hero/Battletomes for a while. which mean people are probably reading too much on his comment from the last video where i believe he was promoting his game that he and Tabletop Minion wrote and he probably doesn't have insider information

Survey say that female dwarf are the least play achtype and percentage is about the same as those who believe the world is flat. Dwarf male are popular in specifically either a hunter range or classic warrior class

I say we be happy with and not be picky any new kits we get for KO or FS even if it just all males again since it not like Dwarf have been a popular concept in fantasy to begin with. At least this is true in my MMO experience unless they are a range damage dealer class with a gun.

Who know they always seem to view 40K as their competitive tabletop game over AoS and promote that games as such (like streaming 40K tournament and advertising them) AoS generally but not always just follow on how 40K update their system.

I think it also has to do with not all army are instagram able or just have too few units to keep churning out posts. Infantry centric army probably suffer from this the most not to mention that taking a picture of a small witch elves and have it come out looking nice is hard edit: while Sylvaneath I would say it a very strong hobbyist army and I can see it being more popular in Instagrams despite it having some gameplay issues in AoS.

this does align with the Warhammer weekly hypothesis that strong competitive Meta army are not necessary the most popular armies especially if they are known to cause NPE. Obviously, SCE being the most popular is not a surprise I do feel that NH and Gitz do alright in popularity given some other survey putting them high up i think Ironjawz would be up there but i think because of lack of kits that they are not an army that churns the Instagram numbers

I guess if you guys want some false hope, the AoS releases are sort of mirror the initial 40K release The first non Imperium/ SM 40K codex was Nurgle Deathguard who only got a hero model The first AoS battletome outside of Dominion was Maggotkin of Nurgle who only got a hero model the next 40K release was piety and pain which puts the galactic space raiding pointy ear Drukhari vs the mostly mono gender religious devoted Sister of battle both getting one hero model The next AoS release is Fury of the Deep which puts the deep sea raiding pointy ear Idoneath Deepkin vs the all mono gender religious devoted Fyreslayer both getting one hero model later on in 40K, Sister of battle got a second wave with Nundam, shield Nuns, and a tank. Drukhari got no new kits other then Hexspear but was bless with a 70% win rate in the meta in conclusion, Fyreslayers gets a second wave with Dwarf Gundams, shield dorf, and a fire truck, Deepkin only get the Thrallmaster but tear through the meta and replacing Realmlords as the top pointy Aelf race ( In your face Teclis)
